I have started off the new grow with the light hanging 113cm from the plants. I've then moved the light down to 97cm by the end of the week. Intensity of the light has been set to 50% for the first week. Inspite of both values being in range of values recommended by the manufacturer of the light, both plants have stretched a bit. For the next week, I'll continue moving the light down and I'll set the light intesity to 60%.

Everything's growing fine this week. I've set the light intensity to 60% at the beginning of the week and moved the light closer to the plants in the end of the week. Plant #1 (on the left) is 12cm tall while plant #2 is 13cm tall. Both plants look happy and healthy.

Both plants are growing well, plant #2 a little better than plant #1. In the beginning of the week I've increased the light intensity to 70% and I'm keeping the light in 61-92 cm range. Towards the end of the week I've applied low stress training to the plants. Both plants responded very well within a day, so I've readjusted the garden staples the following day. I also had to sprinkle some diatomaceous earth on the surface of the medium, because I've seen some larvae when feeding.

Both plants are doing well, but growing bushy. I am low stress training almost daily. Main stems are getting pretty thick! Plant #2 (to the right) had calcium deficiency, but I think I've fixed that when watering without nutrients, with higher than usual dosage of CalMag. I can still see some larvae of fungus gnats when watering plant #2 even though I always wait for the top of the medium to dry out completely between waterings. As the end of the week was approaching, I've increased the light intensity to 100%.

Garden status: nice and healthy. Minor defoliation of bottom leaves, a lot of LST.

I tried to supercrop the main stem of the #2 plant and I've accidentally topped it.. The plant #1 received some heavier defoliation, because she is quite short and was getting too bushy. I am trying to maintain stable EC in the medium, but the runoff values are a lot lower than the inflow values.. (anomaly?) Plant #1 is 36cm short. As I'm watering daily, the humidity is going out of control even with dehumidifier running constantly.

Fungus gnats larvae infestation, I am going to try nematodes this time again to fight it. Plant #2 is having calcium deficiency. I think it is actually caused by heat stress, because calcium helps to fight heat stress. I have moved the light more up and I have rearranged positions of fans, so the one with more power is blowing from the top and the one with less power is blowing from the the bottom. Plant #1 is healthy, but bushy. Too many leaves are causing higher humidity in the tent, but I don't want to defoliate and my dehumidifier is already up and running so I can do nothing about it..

I was watering this week with plain water only, but the trichomes are still not there. 70% milky 30% clear. Colours look nice though. One of the girls is weird genetics, the bushier one. Her buds are not dense compared to her sister.

Grow Questions

Growing in coco, flushing for a week, trichomes now 70% milky 30%clear, last week 50% 50%, aiming for 90% milky 10%amber. Question: Should I feed nutes again and then flush again or just keep flushing till I get there? If I should feed, how long?

I've heard some growers's saying that a little to no flush was required in coco , I've done an harvest with a flush , an harvest with 2 flush and an harvest with no flush recently in coco and the harvest with no flush is not that smooth when I am smoking it but twice better than no flush in soil. That said if you are harvesting at a 80% milky and 20% clear ratio you could finish with a 10% amber ratio because even after the cut the trichomes are still maturing during the drying process and for that reason it is not necessary to give nutrients again as you are close to the good ratio. I am not sure that nutrients could accelerate the trichomes maturation

Plants are looking great, Do you find the Fast buds responds well too Lst? I super cropped mine this time or others call it mainlining, Zkittlez from fastbuds has exploded in growth since I did this. Check my diaries out if you get a chance. Happy growing

@nubrinnah, Yup topping my auto hasnt seemed too affect its growth at all! I can definitely say that you're new light will of helped produce busier closer noded plants which lead too better yields. Enjoy it pal!

@Bashgrowsitall1989, thanks mate, your plants are looking even better. It really seems like topping them did not stunt them at all. I’ve been doing mainlining my previous grow on a photoperiod plant and the recovery time was quite slow and so I haven’t even considered doing it with the autoflowering plants. To answer your question about LST, I can tell you that the precious FB plant I grew has responded very differently. That plant grew more vigorously upwards compared to these two been more bushy. It’s also fair to mention that I’ve switched to another light ever since. But I feel I like them been short now better, cause they’ll sure stretch. Also the spacing between nodes was longer compared to shorter now, which again I like better, because the buds should be bigger :D
