1 gorilla zkirttlez seed germinated in water around Christmas eve 2019
Potted in a small pot of soil a few days later after showing root, 27th Dec
Good stable growth early
Everything going well so far, plant is fairly compact, maybe not liking the breeze from the fan so much perhaps
Good strong growth though, nice colours no signs of deficiency that I can tell
I want to top it, but growth is so tight and close knit that I can't really get a chance to get in at the top to confidently cut it without doing dmg nearby
Are my lights to bright maybe causing such tight node spacing?
Any advice? Use LST to make a gap to the top maybe? Remove a couple fan leaves to allow growth underneath to grow? Most stuff below the top point dousnt come to much in the end?
Day 23 from going into soil,
Transplanted to 10g fabric pot, topped and defoliated at the same time
Hopefully won't stress her more than she can handle
Day 24, managed to slice off one side of the new growth at the top of the main stem with the tent door when I opened it, noobish on my part, I've moved the bag out of range so it can't happen again
Beginning of week 5 for the g zkitz, all going well,
seems to have gotten used to the large 10g grow bag now and it's starting to put some growth in again after the shock of all the abuse I gave her last week
Day 36, start of week 6, growth is really accelerating now
Could do with the tops in the middle growing some more,
Defoliated around them a little more to help hopefully
Day 39 defoliated a fair bit, removed lower growth that won't come to anything
Day 38, couple pre flowers showing :)
Beginning of week 7, flipping to 12/12 in the next couple days
Day 44, some severe training because I want the central tops to grow more and catch up
Did some slight defoliating, tied big side branches down to try and boost the middle tops, which will be strong if they can catch up before flip to flower in a few days
Start of week 8, flipped to 12/12
Think I left the plant in the trained spread out position last week and its hardened in that position, suppose I can train it back a bit tighter, will see how it goes over the stretch here :)
Day 9 of flower
The gorilla zkittlez shows amazing fast bud formation already 💪😎
Good bud formation so far, although not much stretch, which is surprising
Still a week to week and a half of potential growth time perhaps, see what happens
Start of week 3 flower, start of week 10 total
All going well, she's not putting on much height which is a little strange, this strain is supposed to stretch a lot, ach well, she shows awesome bud development though, and plenty tops 😎
Start of week 4 flower, everything going awesome, she is absolutely piling on size already I am surprised to see, expect flower to finish in good time as a result, but we will see how it pans out :)
So many sick tops, fattening up and starting to form crystal too, she smells superb
Start of week 5, lady continues to put on weight and crystal
Looking and smelling great, I have high hopes for this plant 😂😂😂
The gorilla zkittlez seems to be the most developed of the plants, expecting a fairly shortish flower time, will see though
Start of week 6,
G zkitz is jamming, fattening and developing tops and colas, lots of trichome formation,
This girl isn't gonna be a late finisher, I think she'll be done early, definitely inherited more indica genetics than sativa
Smells damn good 😎
Star of week 7 flower, shes powered through flower crazy fast, think she'll be more than good within the next 7-10 days for the chop
Will see how it goes over the next week and make a judgement :)
Been giving her only water the last 5-7 days coz I could see she was gonna be ready early
Into week 8 for this burd
Not long left on her now, I'll make a judgement midweek on when to chop her down 🌿😎👍
Continuing with just water for the moment, you can see by her colours she's getting into the flush now, some cool autumnal colours coming to the fore, even tho it's the start of spring 😂😎

I had fun with this barneys gorilla zkittlez, although it seems like it was ready around 7 weeks, its as if the plant has been in the early stages of self seeding when I've harvested on day 54~ of flower.. Can't think any other reason why this would've happened
Anyway overall the bud is 95% amazing, just a slight sadness at the miniscule seeds forming close to the stems in the centre of some buds that takes away from the taste a little
Tasty, Tasty! This is on my short list for grow #4, and with those buds I think you made my decision for me😉. Looks great. Fine work and enjoy the fruits of thy labor.

@I_and_I, thank you for your insight. I'm learning as I go and personal experience always seems to be the best way for me. I'm hoping I can get the canopy filled up in this stretching period. I know I need to remove the lower growth. It will suck to remove potential bud sites but worth it to help overall yeild and large top growth. I'll have pics here soon before and after with some growth removal and defoliation.

This is only my second grow, the first one I had like 9 plants in a 4x4 in the end, I had done much other than top them once in veg
So I never had much to work with in flower, it was tight as hell and me being noob, I never done much at all to them in flower,
I think Lots of good light is the way to go max your yield,
And defoliate the lower growth to take away the plant wasting energy on larf way below where the light properly penetrates
The first 3 weeks here I will be defoliating lower stuff as they stretch and seeing how it pans out, I don't want them to infringe on each other to much so if I need to do something to help manipulate that I will, but I think I should be good
This second grow my plants have recieved a much much better veg period, better light, better transplants and better grow bags, I can see how strong they are vs last time, so guaging vs that, I think I should be good, just gotta keep them from getting in each others way and trim Lower would be larf bud to make the plant concentrate all energy on the top goodness in the light
Ive done some basic training, topping, strategic defoliation, tucking leaves under tops, all in veg to set me up for flower
Will be interesting to see what they do over the next 2-3 weeks of stretch 👍😎🌱🌿🌳

I wish i had harvested around week 7 in fairness, I think I left it a week too long to reach the end of week 8 to chop her, but could've just been a fast indica pheno I had, hard to know when it's just the one plant you have and you've never grown it before

@@Darkwarsongs, it's really fruity man, surprisingly so, seems to change by the week but always a mixed fruit smell off it, I just know it's gonna smell n taste supreme after a cure 😎
I've smoked grapefruit and grandaddy purp, but not for years n years so it's hard to recall n compare them, the tents stinking of other girls smells too

i think you've made a good choice of strain 👌
Most growers said that it would stretch a lot but both mine and a friends girls that we trained quite extensively ended up fairly short, so depending in your grow area you should be able to make her wide bushy and short or tall and slim perhaps, but it could just be the genetics and pheno laying up more indica genes than sativa by luck
Keeping that forest in control could be a full time job. Give it time they may still take off stretching. If you have good lighting, they may not find the need to reach as much for light. Nice work👍
@@JP148, yeah man haha, it's no joke, I fell asleep last night without watering them and had to get up before 5am to water them for an hour before lights off at 6am 😂😂
I think they've not stretched much because I've got brighter lights than last time, but some the genetics are just overcoming all haha like the massive tall banner
