Yeah that is a con with led in winter especially if your subterranean but an advantage in the summer. I will run dual because I feel the girls should respond better to it, I feel like hps win a on fruit mass but led wins on quality in terms of trich & terp production. Each lamp must have something the other doesn't. If Im correct then the centre of my canopy should show a nice equal split of mass and quality flanked on the led side by smaller more frosted nugs and flanked on the hps side by smaller to equal sized but slightly less frosty nugs. I guess time will tell. I really should buy a lux meter to adjust my light angles and try get the whole canopy as much of both as possible.

@@Tryhard,thanks a bunch glad to have you, really enjoying this community, been a member for 7 months but not very active, my first diary was neglected because I had a load of personal drama around the time I harvested so I never managed to complete it with pics n smoke report so I've unpublished it and now have 2 current diaries which I intend to take to completion, here to stay now!

@budkingsgrow Yeah they are very good mate, if a diode goes down the others still work. I can just pop it out and send it to them and they will send me a new one without losing the whole light for a week. Same with switches too. Service is second to none and the German/British engineering is really good quality. Results speak for themselves. Runs about 400watts and pulls more weight than my 600w hps.

Companies like BioBizz who help you out if you run into any problems and care about how they impact the planet as well as consumers get my votes every time! Hearing your review on them makes me want one of these guys in my garden even more 👍

@Fire_Farmer, lol it happens the same to me, they take 2 days to recover and then explode again, What i did on my last crop was to heavily defoliate fan leaves on day 45 of flower, so that the light could reach lower buds. Cant express enough how much they fattened, every bud got huge!

@iatoba, I agree with the defoliation, if you check previous weeks up to week 3 flower I defoliate but then stop, is it ok to continue throughout? This led makes it difficult to keep up with too it's like every time you defoliate 3 days later it's a jungle again.

I suggest you to let them grow a bit , then you can set the net and lower it on the plants , like if you were smashing the plants with the net. They will fill up the net in a week and start to grow back in another week.

@Fire_Farmer,you still got plenty of space in that tent and plenty of empty spaces in the net. You shall keep bending them under the net for a few weeks, to fill up all these empty spaces as much as possible. It shouldn’t take too long as you’re in hydro which is the fastest system. Cannabis growth is exponential, it goes faster and faster .

@JUNGLE_B4RNS, yeah think you may be correct tbf. Probably being a little optimistic based on how quick they seem to grow in these hydro systems with these nutes. I'll need all your eyes when I decide to make the switch because its a fine balance, I don't want to switch too early to not fill the space but I dont want it overcrowded neither. When I do a normal scrog with a couple or 4 plants I usually fill the net around 70% then switch and let the stretch in flower take care of the rest but with this sog/scrog it will be a little harder to judge.

@Fire_Farmer, Our Hydro nute will work fine in coco, but our Coco nute has an added Aquazen ingredient that improves lateral water distribution in the grow media. This is a coco specific innovation and has a real benefit in terms of fully wetting your growing media, dispersing nutrients across the whole pot and avoiding dry spots where roots will simply not grow. 20-30% run off every watering is highly recommended - that way you've got no risk of salts buidling up in the pot and potentially burning.

@biggreens420, yeah I used to grow in coco using autopots and plant magic coco nutes but since switching to hydro I use Shogun hydro however I still keep my mother's in coco. When I ran dry of my coco nutes I gave a feed of shogun hydro to cover me till I had chance to get the coco version but having seen no adverse affects in fact on the contrary my cuts seem much more successful and the plants aren't complaining so I've just cracked on as such ever since.

@PigBearMan, Indeed! I did coco before hydro and hydro kicks it's ass. There's only one reason in my eyes for not using hydro and that's the organic soil factor which frankly I respect but it's too much of a pain in the ass for me.

@Fire_Farmer, the grower is eurus, and its his auto amnesia diary, week 7 or 8 I think. He pollinated another plant with it, I'd say just cut it off to be safe, its not gunna grow into anything special is it? All the best dude!

@Fire_Farmer,nice I use dual lamps in all my grows I start with the hps then add the led in flower so im not adding more heat but more light it seems to work well but never grown any other way so wouldn't know thanking of doing a full led run but its freezing at the min so no point would need a heater

@biggreens420, thanks I'm excited about this one, I'm experimenting with the mixed lamps and also the sog into scrog so it feels like quite the adventure. G.O.D is the top spec series of Budmaster LED lights, tbf I should of gone for a lower spec because this bleaches anything within 30cm of it and my head room is only 6ft, however that mistake had been made and learnt from hopefully never to be repeated. Those plants are super happy, leaves are shining. Also they are Super frosty! Even with mini bud formed on leaf< Really fertile! Well done fellow grower👌 not easy with LED lights and hydro, so many thing can go wrong and do go wrong!😰 Your picture of the leaf with led lights on is beautiful!👍 I am going to get those Starbud now!😄 It seems you have stumbled on one of those perfect strains for leds light!

Starbud may be hard to come by at the moment as Hortilab are apparently in the process of getting setup in Hungary after some past legal issues elsewhere but it's well worth the hunt. From whence doth thee abode? 😁
