This week they grew very fast! Extremely tight node spacing, they were about to create a 6th node, so I FIMed the top. This is my first grow so I am new to this technique, but it seems to be the easiest way to create a larger canopy. I plan on eventually ScrOGing them, so I hope this will help! I have started brewing a compost tea for them since they have been growing so rapidly the past couple days. I noticed a slight yellowing of some of my leaves but nothing drastic, also some curling but nothing that looks unhealthy. On the day I FIMed them, I watered once lightly, waited 45 minutes, and then watered again and I found this was a great way to fully saturate the soil. The soil has stayed moist without watering for a couple days. My temps are 78F during the day, 66-68F during the night, im not sure why it displays 50F when I create my diaries. Also, the smell of the plants has become quite noticeable, way earlier than I expected so I'll have to grab a carbon filter soon!
@devilspeakcannabis, good plan. On a side note, adding some circulation fans should help strengthen your stem. But the main problem is the stretch. You can bring your light closer to the plants to slow down the stretch. Just don't make it too hot. Your temp says 50degF, but I assume that is the incorrect temp.
@MovingOn, thank you!! I plan on amending with compost teas! I’m hoping that the nutrients in the soil + the compost teas will be enough. I will also add organic fertilizer to the soil mix when I transplant!
@BruceBlack, thank you!! I have white clover planted as a companion crop, it has kept the top soil moist and I plan on planting it in my upcoming grows as well!
Awesome harvest! congrats. Looks like the hanging branches have got ample room - those are some big colas to dry thoroughly 👌
Should be a wonderful taste after curing! I love this strain 😎
We’re hoping to try a living soil this spring! It’s a little more but for plant friendly ! I think it gets a better end product but I would definitely say there’s more to go wrong but it will make you a better grower! 🙏good luck
