Finally done trimming and jarring all my buds! It took about 4 hours to trim each plant, and I only did a marginal trim, left many of the sugar leaves.
Unfortunately it seems I over dried my nugs, and once I jarred them they were around 50% RH. I should have had my vent fan on a lower setting, but I didn't realize until too late. Thankfully they all still smell pungent and I am hoping I can bring the RH up. I have tried putting fresh fan leaves from my other grow in the jars to see if this raises the RH, if not ill resort to using Bovedas. I've noticed I lose some smell on my flower I use Bovedas on, but it might be worth it if my other attempts don't work.
I pressed some flower rosin from the buds I harvested and it tasted amazing! Additionally, I tried to make bubble hash for the first time with my fresh frozen. Although my yields were tiny(I didnt wash for long enough) I was able to press the bubble hash and make some live rosin.
The high from the White Widow is mainly sativa, very heady and very focused. Extremely enjoyable high, and tastes great too. Notes of berries, peppers, and a lot of lemon.
Thanks for following! Check my page for other diaries i've got going on now!
@devilspeakcannabis, good plan. On a side note, adding some circulation fans should help strengthen your stem. But the main problem is the stretch. You can bring your light closer to the plants to slow down the stretch. Just don't make it too hot. Your temp says 50degF, but I assume that is the incorrect temp.
@MovingOn, thank you!! I plan on amending with compost teas! I’m hoping that the nutrients in the soil + the compost teas will be enough. I will also add organic fertilizer to the soil mix when I transplant!
@BruceBlack, thank you!! I have white clover planted as a companion crop, it has kept the top soil moist and I plan on planting it in my upcoming grows as well!
Awesome harvest! congrats. Looks like the hanging branches have got ample room - those are some big colas to dry thoroughly 👌
Should be a wonderful taste after curing! I love this strain 😎
We’re hoping to try a living soil this spring! It’s a little more but for plant friendly ! I think it gets a better end product but I would definitely say there’s more to go wrong but it will make you a better grower! 🙏good luck
