Finally switched them to flower! Did a heavy defoliation, and lollipopped them a bit prior to the switch. I also brewed a big batch of compost tea with a bunch of organic flower nutrients (down to earth). By the 3rd day of flower they had recovered from defoliation and were soaking up the nutrients. They have been growing extremely fast! I had to add a second trellis net because of height. I have learned that next grow I should LST the stems earlier, to spread out wider if I have only 2 plants in this tent. I should also top them multiple times, the leading stems are growing much taller than the rest. Very happy right now though, all seems to be going well and I am brewing another batch of compost tea to feed them at day 13 of flower.
@devilspeakcannabis, good plan. On a side note, adding some circulation fans should help strengthen your stem. But the main problem is the stretch. You can bring your light closer to the plants to slow down the stretch. Just don't make it too hot. Your temp says 50degF, but I assume that is the incorrect temp.
@MovingOn, thank you!! I plan on amending with compost teas! I’m hoping that the nutrients in the soil + the compost teas will be enough. I will also add organic fertilizer to the soil mix when I transplant!
@BruceBlack, thank you!! I have white clover planted as a companion crop, it has kept the top soil moist and I plan on planting it in my upcoming grows as well!
Awesome harvest! congrats. Looks like the hanging branches have got ample room - those are some big colas to dry thoroughly 👌
Should be a wonderful taste after curing! I love this strain 😎
We’re hoping to try a living soil this spring! It’s a little more but for plant friendly ! I think it gets a better end product but I would definitely say there’s more to go wrong but it will make you a better grower! 🙏good luck
