This week has been exciting and nerve wracking all in one. Afraid of over or under watering. Trying to adhere to 'not a desert, not a swamp'. Thus far I've watered each one a tablespoon of spring water, at any 1 time. Have watered twice in a 24 hour period on day 6 b/c soil felt pretty dry. Seeing some leaf growth at day 6 & 7. Been keeping track (every 30 mins) of tent temp / humidity levels so have a lot of data points. Giving the tray a gentle shake twice or three times a day to help stem strength. Tent Temp gets to about 85 at the high end, just before fan kicks on. Humidity fluctuates a bit between 40-60% depending upon fan. I'm hoping to transplant into the 7 gallon smart pots around week 3. Hard part is just 'doing nothing'. It is fun to check on them each day & snag a picture or two. Already named them - Larry Moe Curly & Shemp. Yes - I'm a dork & I'm fine with that. Environment: 5x5 gorilla grow tent 2 KIND LEDs - K3 Series2 XL600 humidifier carbon filtration exhaust fan small fan to simulate a breeze - not running currently.

Sadly I’m a jack ass and under watered. s a result I lost 1 of the seedlings. Bit of a bummer but this is how I learn. Trying to be positive. I’ve started watering daily in the morning. Up to 3 tablespoons per plant. Hoping this doesn’t result in my over watering. So today is day 13, watered them this morning (3 tablespoons spring water). Bit later noticed some bottom leave wilt, Guessing I need to stick with with 2 tablespoons versus 3. Not a swamp, not a desert. Day 14 - outta nowhere the 5'th seed germinated ! 14 days after the other 4. Makes for 100% germination rate on the seeds. Sadly, I did manage to kill 1 of the 5 seedlings due to under watering. Now i'm afraid i've over watered so trying to let plants recover until leaves are all nice and horizontal, no droopy-ness. Another item of note - my day tent temp is between 80-85 degrees, same all day. When fan kicks on temp & humidity drop, got a spreadsheet going. Dunno why this site keeps changing my 80 to a 50. kinda annoying.

Day 15: transplanted to their 7 gallon smart pots. Gave them each 2 tablespoons of spring water. Day 16: still a little leaf droop on one of the plants. Gave a hearty watering around the plants this morning. Still pretty impressed by the 100% germination of the 5 seeds I tad given up on the 5th but kept watering ‘in case’. Day 17: seedlings are looking good. Did trim 1/2 of 2 leaves off a plant that were droopy and had started yellowing a bit. No water today as they were given a healthy watering yesterday. Day 18: all looking good overall. Watered this morning- really want to start measuring how much water I’m giving versus eye balling it. Trimmed 1/2 of 2 yellowed bottom leaves off of one plant. Day 19: watered each plant with 2 cups Brita filtered water. PH is 8, need to get some PH Down for long term. Pretty excited still. Day 20: watered each 4 cups of Brita filtered water at 4pm. Took note of weight difference ( huge ) between dry & soaked pots. Day 21: just watching em do their thing. Not liking the leaf curling on plant 3.

Day 22: watered each plant 4 cups of Brita filtered water. Little leaf curl on 1 of the plants. 2 plants looking good. No real growth / activity on 1 plant. Added in a small fan to mimic wind to help strengthen. will have to determine a schedule, positioning, rotation, etc for it. Day 23: watered each 4 cups Brita filtered water. Rotated pots a 1/4 turn. Still some leaf curl on 1 plant. Hoping to see plant 7 have some massive growth. Plant numbers 5 & 9 looking great. Plant #3 (the late germinator) looks great. Next grow will transplant as soon as they break the surface. Day 24: nothing to do today. Soil is still moist. Maybe water later this afternoon. Day 25: watered last evening. 4 cups Brita filtered water. Day 26. Watered at 630am. 4 cups of Brita filtered water. Day 27: 3 of the plants are about 5 inches tall now. The 4th plant who sprouted 14 days ‘later’ is about 2.5 or 3 inches. Soil still looks moist so not watering until this afternoon. Day 28 - plants looking good overall. Watered last night at 5pm. Day 29 - watered at 7am. Added second hygrometer on floor of tent to get second set of readings — first hygrometer is hanging near top.

Day 30: increased exhaust fan to be twice an hour versus every 45 mins. Noticed that floor of tent was about 5 degrees hotter and lower humidity than the original hygrometer higher up in tent. Now trackIng temp/humidity in 2 places. Doubled watering today from 4 cups to 8 cups. Rotated pots a 1/4 turn. Had window open today for fresh air for well over an hour as it was tolerable outside. Day 31: nothing exciting to record. Day 32: watered last evening. Had window open for an hour or so today. Day 33: watered plants at 7am. 8 cups of Brita filtered water. Will open window for an hour or so. Day 34: soil still moist at 7am. Will try to hold off on watering until tomorrow. Raised lights a bit today. 3 plants are about 10” and the late germinator is about 7.5”. Lights are about 12” from plant tops. Window was open for about 30 mins. Day 35: watered 8 cups each at 7am. Plants looking great. Seeing massive improvement on Moe. Will open window for a bit later. Day 36 - seeing nice growth overall. If I had heat stressed, seems they’ve rebounded.

Day 37. Watered plants 8 cups of Brita filtered water. Rotated 1/4 turn. Cleaned humidifier. Will have window open later as outside temp should get close to 60 today. Day 38. Not much today. Day 39: watered plants 8 cups of Brita filtered water at 7am. Day 40: everything on auto pilot. Nothing to do today. I lied - had to raise lights. Now 34” off the ground. Back to 12” between plant n light. Day 41: watered. They’re definitely doing well. Added some pics with measurements. Day 42: mot much. Day 43: watered plants. Refilled humidifier (daily).

Day 44: all is going well. Very happy I’ve gotten this far. Learned some things along the way. Glad the Stooges are resilient. Day 45: watered plants. Running both circulation fans inside. Day 46: plants seem to have grown another 2” over the course of the day. Lights need to be raised again (2”) to get back to 12”. Might leave as one of the plants isn’t as tall and want to avoid stretching / longer internode lengths. Day 47: watered plants. Raised lights. Day 48: lowered humidifier as humidity seemed to be a tad higher last day. Day 49: watered plants. Will have to raise lights - about 10” currently on left side plants. Day 50: raised lights.

Day 51: Moe is 24”. Spicoli is 16”. Shemp is about 22”. Curly is about 21”. Watered. Rotated pots a 1/4 turn. Spread them out a bit for better air flow. Day 52. Bit of a quandary. Canopy is getting a bit uneven. 1 plant growing faster than others. Keep raising lights but, at what point am I going to cause longer internode lengths. Sigh. Possible it’s gone male as I made some mistakes that could have stressed. Day 53: watered plants. Filled humidifier and moved to left center. Day 54: filled humidifier, moved center front. Day 55. Skipping watering today. Going to give extra time for soil to really dry. Temp n humidity lower now that carbon filter was rotated 180 degrees. Sleeve was covered in white dust - assuming from humidifier running nonstop. Day 56: watered plants. Seemed droop like pepper plants when needed water. White dust is probably soil particulates per a more experienced resource. Day 57: we are back on track. After watering yesterday and getting exhaust fan filter issue identified back to normal temps n humidty levels. They got about 2 hours of fresh air yesterday. Raised lights today, had Ben trying to let the shorter 3 catch up. Guessing front left position is taller due to location of humidifier. Next grow will get a 2’nd humidifier for alternation of location. Plants are back to looking happy overall. Noticed some minor yellowing on a leaf or two, hoping that was from overwatering as fan wasn’t venting tent as well.

Day 58: rotated plants a 1/4 turn. We’re back on track. Moe is 30”. Spicoli is 20”. Curly is 24”. Shemp is 25”. Day 59: watered plants last night. Replaced carbon filter sleeve, temps now a bit lower as fan is moving more air again. Day 60: back to normal. Will open window for an hour or so later. Day 61 - April 1st: watered plants. They were a bit droopy/thirsty which is understandable by water cycle was off a bit but now back on track. Day 62: plants got a few hours of fresh air yesterday. Day 63: watered this morning. Plants had a few hours of fresh air yesterday & will today as well. Raised lights bc Moe is 36”. Spicoli is 21”. Shemp is 27”. Curly is 27”. Day 64: I think I’m seeing calyx development and or pre flowering. Grrr. I’m not sure. Plants getting hours of fresh air last few days. Definitely seeing pistels starting. Need to keep a close eye on them for next two weeks. Still pretty much on my estimated start/finish of around 6 months.

Day 65: Moe is 36”. Shemp is 29”. Curly is 28” Spicoli is 25.5”. watered plants. Rotated containers a 1/4/turn. Removed some dead leaves from very bottom of the plants. Raised lights - moe is 6” from light. Curly n Shemp are about 12” from light. Spicoli is about 16” from light. Day 66: all is good. Seeing pistil development. Need to keep a close eye out now to identify if any of the 4 are male or hermies. I made mistakes so would blame myself and not the seed bank. Day 67: watered this morning. Windows open as its friggin gorgeous outside today. Raised lights again, almost maxed out. Moe being the tallest may need to be ‘topped’. Day 68: windows open. Not much happening right now. Checking for calyx development. Seeing pistils here and there, hoping all females. No dangling calyx that I’ve seen. Will do a deep investigation Sunday out of the tent. Day 69: watered plants this morning. Had window open overnight, house got to 60 degrees. Temps in tent a bit closer to 65 than normal mid 70s. Day 70: nothing new. Day 71: watered plants

Day 72 (04/12/20): Filled humidifier. Moe is 44”. Spicoli is 28”. Shemp is 31”. Curly is 33” Rotated plants a 1/4 turn. Day 73: watered plants. Filled humidifier. Day 74: nothing exciting today. Day 75: watered plants. Filled humidifier. Replaced carbon filter sleeve-amazing how dirty it got in 15 days :(. Seeing some odd yellowing from edge of leaves. Maybe over watered ? Maybe nutrients are off / deficient? Had been told I wouldn’t have to worry about soil/nutrients because I’m using Sohum Living Soils. Sigh. Day 77: watered today. Not happy seeing some yellowing. Day 78: definitely nitrogen deficiency happening. Took a ride to the supply shop, got some bushdoctor wholly mackerel (3-1-0). Nothing to do until Sunday.

Day 79: watered plants with the addition of the BushDoctor Wholly Mackerel (3-1-0). Used 1 tablespoon per gallon of water as directions stated. Each plant got 1/2 gallon of water as usual. Was hoping to switch to flowering at end of the month, want to get plants healthy again first. The cutting I took is droopy. :(. Moe is 43”. Spicoli is 30”. Shemp is 33”. Curly is 35”. Day 80: hoping yesterday’s feeding helps. Day 81: watered plants. Filled humidifier. Switching to 12/12 from 24/0 today.Still cannot tell if female/male plants. As of 345pm - set timer for 12/12. Lights should now be on 7am-7pm. Looking forward to a slightly less electric bill. 😳

Day 81 from seed planted: just switched lights to 12/12. Plants were in veg mode for roughly 66 days. Corrected water level - plants have gotten a 1/2 gallon (8 cups) every other day. Day 82 from seed. Day 1 of flower. Last night was first time lights have been off. Things are looking ok. I think. Timer is working so happy about that. Cannot check temp/humidity after 7pm now though bc I don’t want to let light in. Curious what temp/humidity is doing when lights are off. Keeping my house at 68 degrees Fahrenheit - hoping that is keeping tent above 65 degrees at night. Day 83 overall, day 2 of flower: watered plants. Think the smell has increased. Day 84 / day 3 of flower: I swear 2 of em have grown multiple inches this week. Feeding or light switch, maybe neither, maybe both. Day 85 / Day 4 of Flower. Watered this morning. Seeing cool new stage of development. Yellowing seems to have stopped and going greener.

Day 87 / Day 6 of Flower / t minus 59 days - Watered plants. They’re growing vertically ‘again’. No new yellowing. Day 88 / Day 7 of Flower / t minus 58 days: man they’re really growing again. Going to have to cut the tops or start bending them. Day 89 / Day 8 of Flower / t minus 57 day: Watered. May give another feeding of the 3-1-0. Plants are really growing now. Got house windows open. Day 90 / Day 9 of Flower / t minus 56 days: Turned humidifier off yesterday as humidity was getting high. Staying in the 60% range right now due to all the rain. Day 91 / Day 10 of Flower / t minus 55 days: Turned humidifier off yesterday as humidity was getting high. Staying in the 60% range right now due to all the rain. Watered plants. Will have windows open soon all day. Day 92 / Day 11 of Flower / t minus 54 days: humidifier back on but very low.

Day 104 / Day 23 of Flower / t minus 42 days — watered plants this morning. Gave each plant 7 teaspoons of 4-8-4, mixed into soil. Will feed twice per month. Also bought CalMag and will add in 48 hours (next watering) Day 105 / Day 24 of Flower / t minus 41 days — added 7 teaspoons of 4-8-4 yesterday to each plant. Will give some CalMag tomorrow at watering. Lesson learned - don’t grow 4ft monsters as they deplete the soil fast. Day 114 / Day 33 of Flower / t minus 32days - watered with 1 teaspoon CalMag (per gallon). Moe is 54” Spicoli is 37” Curly is 47” Shemp is 46” Avg height 46” Day 115 / Day 34 of Flower / t minus 31 days - Running fan to push air into tent since tent temps getting a bit warm bc house a/c is on the fritz. Day 116 / Day 35 of Flower / t minus 30 days - so a/c at house crapped out Saturday, as a result house temp n humidity were uncomfortable for me, let alone inside the tent got to 90 degrees no matter what I did (exhaust running 24 hours, forcing air into tent). Anyway - watered today. A/c is fixed, house back to a comfy 74 degrees. Plants looking ok. Day 117 / Day 36 of Flower / t minus 29 days - holy smokes, flowers are getting stinky, sticky & heavy ! Gonna have to add some stability to prevent breakage. Day 118 / Day 37 of Flower / t minus 28 days - added 5 teaspoons of 4-8-4 to the 7 gallon smart pots and watered in. Second feeding of 4-8-4 this month. Will probably give some CalMag at next watering. Smell has greatly increased. Accidentally touching any of the plants leaves me sticky and smelly (like heaven). Day 119 / Day 38 of Flower / t minus 27 days - Day 120 / Day 39 of Flower / t minus 26 days - Windows open all day yesterday. Didn’t water til 9am, plants looked droopy. Normally watered at 7am. Watered today with 3 teaspoons of CalMag per gallon of water. Seeing some yellowing on leaves but could be normal this far in ? We’re chugging along. Such lovely forgiving ladies.

Just beginning the harvest. Got everything hung to begin dry. Manicured Curly. Got 3.3 ounces of buds. 3 more plants to go. Manicured Spicoli. Got 3.1 ounces of buds. 2 plants to go. So I broke down and tried a taster nug. Smells of diesel. My chillum was dirty so really cannot comment on taster or flavor. Tried on a clean head. Hit me pretty quickly, relaxed chill vibe. Definitely more cerebral than body. Zero couch lock. Manicured Shemp. Got 3.5 ounces. Manicured Moe. Got 3.3 ounces.
