WEEK 1 (8/12/19 – 15/12/19)
8/12/19 - Only 5 seeds out of 10 germinated by paper towel method.
Filtered water pH down to 6.5 watered for all plants everyday for seedlings.
WEEK 2 (16/12/19 – 22/12/19)
17/12/19 - Watering done with pH 6.5 on top of sprinkles of alga soil. Hope it wont cause nutrient burn. Just experimenting. Maybe I shouldn't have done it. Let's see how it goes.
19/12/19 - Watering done with 1ml of silicon and 1ml of Cal mag. And then I forgot to check the pH. After watering quite a bit to the first bigger plant and second one, only then I realized I didn't check the pH. When checked it was 8.01. PH down to 6.15 and re watered the first two and the remaining 3 plants. Hope I didn't fuck it up.
21/12/19 - Plants are thriving!! 2nd node just appeared. Watering done with silicon and oxygen added. PH adjusted to 6.9. So it seems like the silicon is really helping with the growth!
WEEK 3 (23/12/19 – 29/12/19)
23/12/19 – Transplant Plant one, two and three to 5 gallon pot. 4/5 potting soil, 1/5 biochar.
Plant four - 5 gallon pot. Coco/soil/perlite mix from serbajadi.
Plant five - small cup with biochar soil
All pots nutrient feeding done with collective 4 gallon water mixed with 12ml micro, 12ml grow, 6ml bloom, 15ml liquid oxygen. PH checked to 6.7. Noted that watering 1 gallon of water is just nice for about 10 percent run off. But for pot 4 with the Coco drainage is quite fast but still maintain 1 gallon per watering.
Tent re-positioned. Second air-cond fixed.
For next grow - when transplanting from small cup to larger pot, make sure the small cup soil is moist. This helps to transplant without the soil breaking up and exposing the roots.
24/12/19 - Finally managed to fix the two small side fans in the tent. Little bastards. Took me so long to figure out how to clip it at side of the tent. Not pictured as I fixed the fan later in the day.
25/12/19 - All windows and attic entrance closed with pine wood and holes made for fresh air intake and hole for exhaust fan outflow
26/12/19 - 3L per pot x 4 large pots = 12L, Micro - 10ml, Grow - 16ml, Bloom - 4ml, Liquid silicon - 10ml, Liquid oxygen - 10ml, pH adjusted to 6.7Plants look healthy and thriving well. Posterior aspects of leaves show no evidence of pests. Fan raised so as to not blow the leavesdirectly and promote better growth. Soil run off water pH is 6.5. Everything looks pretty good right now.
27/12/19 - Low stress training done to plant 1,3 and 4. Went quite well I'd say. Pot 4 which contains soil mix with Coco started to show issues. When the top of the soil dries I noticed the fan blows the coconut husk everywhere. I added a bit of Biochar soil to the top hoping that it will contain the dried husk inside from flying everywhere in the tent. Plant no 2 seems stunted compared to the rest. But no evidence of nutrient burn, nutrient deficiencies or pests. Maybe it's the phenotype. Plant 5 in the cup is really thriving. Thought of transplanting it to pot 2, the 5 gallon pot but let's see if plant no 2 catches up. Generally everything is going well.
28/12/19 - 4 pots x 2L - 8L water Liquid silicon - 8ml Micro - 8ml Grow - 12ml Bloom - 4ml Liquid oxygen - 8ml Check pH - 6.9 Since LST yesterday, the plants have already started growing upwards. So far so good! Seeing several properly formed classical cannabis serrated leaves trulyis a joy.
WEEK 4 (30/12/19 – 5/1/2020)
30/12/19 - Noted algae like greenish growth on the top of soil. Could be due to over watering with high humidity during night time. I'm going to skip the next watering cycle which will be tomorrow and I just ordered some hydroton clay to fill the top of soil to avoid light reaching algae. I removed the soil covered with algae and on the next watering I'll add more clean soil and hydroton on it. Installed the China made dehumidifier and set to 45 percent. Let's see if it actually works.
21/12/19 - 5L water mixed with 5ml liquid silicon 5ml liquid oxygen
1/1/2020 - All 5 plants LST readjusted. Installed second dehumidifier. Installed baby cam inside tent. Soil still feels damp 1 inch below. Light raised up to 24 inches from canopy from 18 inches, to promote vertical growth. Also the coverage is better for all 5 plants. The girls are doingvery well so far. No signs of any issues.
2/1/2020 - 2L/plant +1L = 9L Liquid silicon - 9ml Micro - 6.3ml - 0.7ml/L Gro - 7.2ml - 0.8ml/L Bloom - 2.7ml - 0.3ml/L Liquid o2 - 9ml pH to 6.4
Hydroton added to the top of soil and watering with nutrient done.
4/1/2020 - 2L/plant +1L = 9L Liquid silicon - 9ml Micro - 6.3ml - 0.7ml/L Gro - 7.2ml - 0.8ml/L Bloom - 2.7ml - 0.3ml/L Liquid o2 - 9ml Cal-mag - 9ml pH to 6.5
LST readjusted to expose lower branches to light. Plant 1,3,4 have started showing stigma. So they are definitely girls. Have to keep in mind to constantly check for male sex organs as well because who knows if I've been causing stress to it and forcing the plants to go hermaphrodite. So far the girls are looking healthy. Plant 2 is lagging behind by 5 days in growth rate compared to others. In fact plant 5in 1 gallon pot is doing so much better than plant 2. But still plant 2 looks healthy and no signs of nutrient issues or pests.
Week 5 ( 6/1/2020 – 12/1/2020)
6/1/2020 - Light lowered back to 18 inches from canopy. LST adjusted. The leaves appears healthy just quite dry especially plant 1. Is it because of under watering? Light too close? Fan too strong? For now my diagnosis is under watering. It is getting so much bigger after all. Light too close maybe but the other plants are doing OK. We shall find out tomorrow. Otherwise just a little stressed about the rate of growth. The preflowers are getting more prominent. I should change my nutrient feeding to preflowering after the next cycle of plain water. Based on other growers, I'm just about the same actually. Thinking too much about it is not doing me any good and I might over do something. Chlorine test strip just arrived today and managed to get the Panasonic water filter tested out. The chlorine test showed 0 - 0.1. Which is fantastic. But the TDS meter showed 37, which is surprisingly the same as the unfiltered water. But the unfiltered chlorine water definitely shows the highest in the range of the chlorine test.
Run off water tested and shows within the range of 6.1 to 6.5. Pretty good. Maybe a little acidic. The 6.1 was from plant 4 I think. Which is Coco mix mostly. Quite consistent with its grow media acceptable pH level.
Micro - 0.7ml/l Gro - 1ml/l Bloom - 0.5ml/l 3L/5 gallon pot x 4 =12L + 1L =13L water Micro - 9.1 ml Gro - 13 ml Bloom - 6.5ml Liquid O2 -13ml
7/1/2020 - One of the small fan is lowered down while the other one remains in the same position. The timing of the fans readjusted to 6 hours each. Generally all plants look much better than yesterday. So it was under watering after all with the previous concern.
Soft guard 2ml in 1L water applied to all plants. Soft guard is chitosan olligosaccharide and its supposed to increase the immunity of the plants. PH adjusted to 6.3. Quite surprised to learn that the soft guard solution is quite acidic. After mixing noted the pH was 4.8. Had touse the pH up solution for the first time.
8/1/2020 - Fabric pot is supposed to be better for the root growth because of better oxygenation. But I noticed that every time I water, it will seep through the side of the pot and a lot of it doesn't even absorb through the soil first. I initially thought that's just the normal run off water. So all these while, when I water not all of it is absorbed first. That's why my soil dries fast and I have to water everyday. Other growers have mentioned the need to water very slowly and using water sprayer to be more effective. That's when I thought of the water sprayer I already have which I previously used as pesticide. But using that is too risky. So I just bought a 16 litre water sprayer. Gotta try it tomorrow. And with the long nozzle it would be much more convenient to water without carrying out the pots every time to water.
3L each 5 gallon pot watered with 3 L of water + liquid oxygen + liquid silicon . 13ml of oxygen and 13ml of silicon added to 13L of water.PH adjusted to 6.3.
10/1/2020 - Micro - 1ml/L Gro - 1.5ml/L Bloom - 0.7ml/L 2L/5 gallon pot x 4 = 8L + 1L = 9L Micro - 9ml Grow - 13.5ml Bloom - 6.3ml Liquid O2 - 9mlLiquid silicon - 9ml Ph adjusted to 6.5
11/1/2020 - Philips dehumidifier fixed inside the room but outside of the grow tent. It's just more practical to leave it outside for tent space efficiency and heat generated from dehumidifier. The two China brand dehumidifiers used earlier are basically useless. They were just generating more heat inside the tent without effective water extraction.
12/1/2020 - 1L each pot of plain water pH to 6.5, then watered with nutrient mix. Micro - 1.5ml/L Gro - 1ml/L Bloom - 1ml/L Sio2 - 1ml/L O2 - 1ml/L 2Lx 4 +1L = 9L Micro - 13.5ml Gro - 9ml Bloom - 9ml Sio2 - 9ml O2 - 9ml
WEEK 6 (13/1/2020 – 19/1/2020)
14/1/2020 - Micro - 1.5ml/L Gro - 1ml/L Bloom - 1ml/L Sio2 - 1ml/L O2 - 1ml/L 4L x 4 +1L = 17L Micro - 25.5ml, Gro - 17ml Bloom - 17ml Sio2 - 17mlO2 - 17ml Ph - 6.3
After watering mixed with nutrient noted that the run off water pH for all plants around 6.6 - 6.7. Except plant 4 the pH was 6.3. Still acceptable. Did a little pruning. Removed the small leaves at the bottom. Accidentally broke a branch off plant 4. Wanted to use micropore plaster but it was too close to the node, so decided to use soft wire tie instead. Let's see if the branch survives. It was quite a bad break. Otherwise the plants are doing fantastic. No signs of nutrient burn or deficiency. All the plants under leaves inspected and no signs of pests noted. So far so good. The major concern for today is, did I go overboard with the nutrient feeding. And another concern is the branch for plant 4 as mentioned earlier.
16/1/2020 - Did major defoliation for all plants. It was quite painful. Tied down all the big branches to open it up for ventilation. I broke one of the big branch for plant 3. Plant four seems to be doing well from the accidental break 2 days ago. Removed the soft tie and for both broken branches I used micropore plaster to hold it. I really hope the plants survive today's high stress training.
18/1/2020 - Noted plant 2 and 3, middle to upper leaves having rusty orange spots. Most notably on plant 3. My differential diagnosis would rust fungus. But most likely to be calcium deficiency. I shouldn't see this growing in soil. But maybe because I'm using filtered water which is already deficient of calcium and magnesium. It didn't show earlier on because the plants were small and the soil could compensate. And now as they are already flowering and the soil is unable to compensate anymore. Or it could be rusty fungus and I'm fucked. I can't see any proper treatment from the forums. The regular sulfur may or may not help. So the plan now is treat what can be easily treated first. Calmag deficiency.

19/1/2020 - Both small fans raised. Light raised as well to 16 inches from canopy. Plant 4 despite of its weird pheno is growing so fast. Multiple bud sites. So tall! Also one of the broken branch that got reattached with micropore plaster seems to be thriving and bud sites are growing! Didn't think it would survive. Plant 3 appears to look OK. No new leaves developing rusty spots.
5L of water mix with 7mk of Cal mag.
WEEK 7 ( 20/1/2020 – 26/1/2020)
20/1/2020 - Micro - 1.5ml/L Gro - 1ml/L Bloom - 1.5ml/L Silicon - 1ml/L O2 - 1ml/L Micro - 25.5ml Gro - 17ml Bloom - 25.5 Silicon - 17ml O2 - 17ml Ph adjusted to 6.6
All plants look good. Flowering stretch is something I was aware of but severely underestimated. The girls are so bushy! And transplanting plant 5 to 1 gallon pot seems like a mistake now. It's buried among the other plants in the bigger 5 gallon pots. Note to self for next grow: if using 5 gallon pot, max 4 pots per 4 x 4 tent. But I think most likely I'll be using 2 gallon or 1 gallon pot with sea of green grow technique. As for my earlier fear of the rust spots, it might have been Calcium deficiency after all. No new leaves were affected. Thank fuck its not fungal infestation.
21/1/2020 - Did minimal pruning for plant 1,4 and 5. Plant 3 is still growing. No flowering yet. But it's definitely female as evidenced by stigmas. Its perfectly healthy. No signs of any issues. Just a late bloomer. Since it's the longest in vegetative stage, I'm guessing it's going to be the highest yielder. Looks like I have to get another smaller tent for drying purpose. Plant 3 is going to be the last to harvest and I need another tent to dry the ones that will be harvested earlier.
22/1/2020 - Cal mag - 1ml/L Micro - 1.5ml/L Gro - 1ml/L Bloom - 1.5ml/L Silicon - 1ml/L Cal mag - 17ml Micro - 25.5ml Gro - 17ml Bloom - 25.5Silicon - 17ml. Ph adjusted to 6.6. Run off water pH measured 6.6 - 6.7 for plant 1,2,3,5. Plant 4 is 6.3
All plants are healthy. Plant 3 is still not showing any signs of flowering. But it's vegging like crazy. So big and so bushy! Did a little pruning. Saved some leaves as survenir for my siblings. All plants are doing fantastic. They are so bushy that the tent is not big enough!Even while closing the zipper for the tent I accidentally cut several leaves that got stuck in the zipper. Note to self: tuck all the leaves and buds in properly before pulling up the tent zipper. Also noted that the run off water is getting less. Especially for plant 4. Even plant 5 in the small 1 gallon pot has less run off water. Maybe I should go for 5 litres for all 5 gallon pots and for the 1 gallon pot 1.5L.
23/1/2020 - Soft guard 2ml in 1L water applied to all plants. Soft guard is chitosan olligpsaccharide and its supposed to increase the immunity of the plants. PH adjusted to 6.9.
24/1/2020 - Major defoliation done to plant 3 that still hasn't start flowering yet. Opened up the branches. Once I flip the light to 12/12 and it starts it's flowering stretch, gives it more room to breathe after the defoliation. The broken branch is healing well. I am forced to change the light timing to 12/12 to induce flowering for plant 3 as the seed could be a photoperiod instead of autoflower. Plant 3 is about 2 weeks behind compared to the other plants that flowed earlier. Minor defoliation for plant 2 and LST readjusted. Plant 4 is just fantastic. Still leading the pack in terms of growth. Buds are thickening. Minor defoliation done. Dead leaves removed. Smaller branches that will produce popcorn nugs removed as well. Plant 5 is great as well. Minor defoliation and dead leaves removal done. Plant 1 is bushy as always. Minor defoliation done. All plants appear healthy with no signs of pests. Under leaves inspected as well.
Plain watering done and pH adjusted to 6.4. Each big pots watered to 4 litres each. 1.5 litre for the small pot. Run off water pH measured for all plants. PH 6.4-6.7.
25/1/2020 - Small fan readjusted. Left side raised and the right side lowed to the floor.
26/1/2020 - First full on flowering nutrient feeding done today.

WEEK 8 (27/1/2020 – 2/2/2020)
28/1/2020 - Major defoliation done for plant 3. Still no sign of flowering. Slow bastard. Minor defoliation done for other plants. Plant one moved to the middle of the light. Hoping the buds will start to get bigger. Otherwise all plants are healthy. No signs of pests or disease.

29/1/2020 - 5L of plain water mixed with 1 1/2 tablespoon of molasses. No pH adjustment done because I forgot to check pH. Again. Hope the range is not too far off.
30/1/2020 - 17L of water Micro - 1.4ml/L Gro - 0.5ml/L Bloom - 2.1ml/L Liquid silicon 1ml/L Liquid o2 1ml/L Micro - 24ml Gro - 8.5ml Bloom - 35.7Liquid silicon - 17ml Liquid oxygen - 17ml pH adjusted to 6.6 Run off water for all plants 6.3 - 6.7
Got a 300ml syringe from amazon and attached the nozzle to a sterile urinary catheter. The expectation was to minimize the handling of those heavy ass 5 gallon pots every time I water them and remove the run off water by using the syringe to suck out it off the pan. What a colossal disaster. Did not work out as planned. Very messy. Spilled the run off water everywhere in the tent and outside. The 300 ml syringe is just too big and the suction power is not that great and the vacuum seal sucks.
31/1/2020 - Spring cleaning done. Room mopped. Tent emptied and floor cleaned with Clorox spray. The right sided small fan which was on the floor got elevated slightly and still pointing towards the base of the pot. Once the tent got filled with the plants, noticed that the fan was touching the leaves. So I took it off and re-positioned back on the floor. Light raised up to 16 inches from the highest canopy in the middle which is plant 1. Minor defoliation done to plant 1,3,4.
2/2/2020 - 17 L water mixed with 4.5 tablespoon of unsulphured molasses. pH adjusted to 6.5
Minor defoliation done to plant 1,2,4,5. Major defoliation done to plant 3. Finally plant 3 is showing signs of bud production. All plants are healthy. No signs of nutrient issue or pests. Growth could be a little faster though. Plant 4 moved to the middle.
Week 9 ( 3/2/2020 – 9/2/2020)
4/2/2020 - Silicon - 1ml/L Cal mag - 0.5ml/L Micro - 1ml/L Gro - 0.5ml/L Bloom - 2.1ml/L Oxygen - 1ml/L Silicon - 17ml Cal mag - 8.5ml Micro - 17mlGro - 8.5ml Bloom - 36ml Oxygen - 17ml Ph adjusted to 6.5 Run off water pH 6.4 - 6.7
All plants appear healthy. Plant 3 is flowering well. Alot more pistils on plant 4 are turning amber. But the buds are still small and loose. No trichomes on gross inspection. I should set the digital microscope to see if any trichomes are present. It needs at least 3 to 4 more weeks before the buds gain enough mass. Plant 1 was the earliest to germinate but now its lagging in terms of bud growth. Even plant 2 which was stunted during the initial phase is packing up in buds, while plant 1 buds still looks like a teenagers pubic hair. Frustrating but what can I do but wait. Hope the wait is worth it in the end. Generally the growth for all plants seem really slow.
5/2/2020 - Used Olloclip macro lens attached to my note 10 and finally took a close look. The trichomes are visible. It's still all clear. No cloudy ones yet. Perhaps another 2 weeks before harvest?
6/2/2020 - Everything is looking good. Maybe just one thing. Plant 3 is so much taller than the others because of the prolonged veg and superflowering stretch that it's about 8 inches from the light. If I raise the light it would make the distance too high for the other plants that are already budding. I'm not going to sacrifice the light distance for the budding plants to plant 3. Maybe if I keep rotating plant 3 during every feed, I might not cause too much of heat stress to the canopy. When I harvest one of the early ones, I'll have more room to move the plants around.
WEEK 10 (10/2/2020 – 16/2/2020)
10/2/2020 - Pre-filter removed from carbon filter for wash. Quite the bitch to remove the Pre-filter when you have plants in the tent. Light cable readjusted. Plant 2 moved to the middle. Minor defoliation done to plant 3. It's frickin huge! Removed smaller bud sites at the bottom. But it's flowering quite fast now. Calices are packing up nicely. I'm really not comfortable removing the pots for every watering. The main reason I'm doing this is because it's easier to remove the run off water. Also it allows me to perform a closer inspection to look for any issues. I have already tried the turkey ballast suction which was useless because it only sucks out 40ml at a time. Collecting almost 1 litre of run off water is so unpractical and accessing the further pot is just a risk injuring the buds. I also tried 300ml syringe and attached it to a sterile urinary catheter but that just turned into a huge mess. Maybe it's time to get a proper wet vacuum.
4L Ph 6.6 for plant 1,2,3, 4. 1.2L Ph 6.6 for plant 5. 17ml liquid oxygen added then silicon added as well to bring up the pH.
12/2/2020 - Pre-filter washed, dried and reattached to the carbon filter. This time for watering, none of the plants were removed from the tent. I've reduced the amount to 3L per plant and the run off water was very minimal except for plant 4 where I had to use the turkey ballast. But that was a non issue because the pot was easily accessible. I think I'm going to use this method of watering from now on. Minimizes the risk of injuring the buds during the process of carrying the pots out and back in the tent. I came up with an idea to further make watering easier. Got the idea from Christmas tree funnel that is typically used to water Christmas tree. Instead of using a rigid hose attached to a funnel, I am going to use a flexible watering hose where one end will be tied to the base of the plant stem and the other end will be brought forward to the tent opening and attached to a funnel. This way I will never have the need to remove the pots from the tent for every watering session. I'll be fixing it tomorrow. Let's see how that idea turns out.

14/2/2020 - Micro - 1ml/L Bloom - 2.1ml/L Oxygen - 1ml/L Molasses - 1 tbs per gallon 17L water. 4L for each big pots Micro - 17ml Bloom - 30mlMolasses - 4.5 tbs Oxygen - 14ml Ph adjusted to 6.5 Run off water pH 6.5 - 6.8 Plant 4 pH is 6.1
Tried to attach the watering hose to the base of plant but it didn't work out as expected. I did not anticipate the rigidity of the hose which makes it very difficult to point it downwards to soil. When I tried watering the water just sprays out of the pot. I'm sure I can make this work if I try it with more flexible hose. Plant 4 moved to the middle. Trichomes are almost 40 percent cloudy. After this cycle of nutrient watering, the next one ill start flushing. The buds appear big but internodal space is quite large. I have a feeling that after drying, the buds will be less dense and airy compared to the other plants. Probably its because the medium is hydro with major percentage of it is coco. And all these while I've been watering it with soil nutrient feeding regime. Plus the pH has been optimized for soil and not hydro. Despite all that, it's very surprising that it has survived and even producing decent buds. No major signs and symptoms of nutrient malnourishment t. No pests infestations throughout grow. Not forgetting it will be the first one to be harvested! Quite interesting how hydro produces a much faster grow. Other plants are doing great and buds are getting thicker. Especially plant 2. All these while I've been having difficulty getting the tent humidity to at least below 65 percent. But the room temp is 21 degrees Celcius and humidity maintains at 48 - 50 percent. So I decided to open another air intake flap. Also I opened the back part of the tent by half and closed the opening with the linen filter that's used for making cheese. The idea is let more of the room air in. The in line duct fan speed maintained at 5/10.Dehumidifier reduced to 40 percent. Still early to tell but after 1 hour the tent humidity is at 62 percent and temperature is 24. Seems to be working. Should have thought of this earlier but hey this is my first grow. In fact the timing is perfect as the plants are all flowering.
16/2/2020 - Plant 5 moved to the middle. I closed the opening I made at the back 2 days ago. Stupid me just realized there's another small flap which can be opened on all three sides of the tent. Noticed minor nutrient burn over some leaves on plant 1. Looks old. But other leaves are healthy.
Had a blackout for 1.5 hours. I used a flash light placed in the tent to trick the plants that it's a 'cloudy day'. During the whole duration temp rose up to 27 degrees and humidity went up to 78. Hope it didn't stress out the plants too much.

WEEK 11 (17/2/2020 – 23/2/2020)
17/2/2020 - Trichomes inspected for plant 4 and plant 2. Plant 4 still predominantly clear trichomes. Plant 2 are all clear.
18/2/2020 - 3L each pot watered with pH 6.5 water and 1ml/L liquid O2. 1L for the small pot.
19/2/2020 - 1L watering done for all pots. Will be leaving to Penang tomorrow and wanted to make sure the plants can hold on for 2 days.
21/2/2020 - Immediately after coming back from Penang, noticed that the air cond was off for 2 hours. Rh went up 75 and temp up to 29 degrees. Plant 2, several lower leaves had rusty brown spots. Removed the affected leaves. I really hope its not fungal infestation. The plant has at least 3 more weeks before harvest. Removed dead leaves from plant 1. Otherwise they seem to be doing good. It's extremely critical times right now. Can't be careless. Cannot leave this place for more than a day.

Plant 3 pot turned. All plants appear healthy and buds are forming well. Noted trichomes for plant 4. Almost all clear. Unable to properly appreciate any cloudy ones. Images are quite blurry. However I did notice two or three trichomes turning amber. I should check the trichomes every two days to determine when to start flushing. Once it's 50 clear and 50 cloudy, I'll start flushing. Plant 3 buds are thickening really fast. Quite amazing to see it grow everyday.
WEEK 12 ( 24/2/2020 – 1/3/2020)
25/2/2020 - I took out the large oscillating fan and put the small one in its place. I ordered two more small fans. One will be positioned at the bottom. Another will be used for the drying tent which I've already ordered from Mars hydro. I placed one extension socket inside the tent, screwed to the middle pole holding the fan. Cable management is more efficient now. All plants are thriving well. Plant 4 trichomes are still mostly clear. Used yoyo to support the buds as the stems are starting to bend from its weight. Overall quite happy with the progress and quite eager to harvest.
Molasses - 1tbs/gallon Micro - 1ml/L Bloom - 2.1ml/L Oxygen - 1ml/L 17L water. 4L for each big pots Molasses - 4.5 tbs Micro - 17mlBloom - 35ml Oxygen 17ml pH adjusted to - 6.5 Run off water pH - 6.7-6.9. Plant 4 - 6.4
26/2/2020 - Observed trichomes for plant 4 using digital microscope and macro lens attached to smartphone. I cut a small piece of the sugar leaf but not enough trichomes to provide proper assessment so cut a small piece of the bud measuring 1mm by 2mm (not a good idea and it wasquite painful to cut it off. Never to be repeated again for other plants) . With the macro lens I noticed a lot more cloudy trichomes than previously. Even several amber trichomes noted. But with the digital microscope, it appeared all cloudy. Strange. But I'll go with the macrolens findings as the image quality is much clearer. I am not very confident with the next course of action as there are 2 more big buds with mostly white pistils. Should I start flushing now or wait for another week or so. But since more amber trichomes were visible this time around, plus the buds are not packing up much any more, perhaps its a good time to flush before I miss the harvest window. Im not happy with how the buds turned out for plant 4. No uniformity and just looks plain ugly compared to the other plants. I wonder what is the reason for this. Would it affect the potency?
27/2/2020 - Supposed to water today but after collecting water, mixed with liquid oxygen and tried to lower the pH but I accidentally dropped too much of pH and caused it to be too acidic. Then used pH up to bring to 6.5 but it became too alkaline. Got frustrated and gave up. I'll just water them tomorrow. So stupid.
28/2/2020 - 17L water mixed with 17ml liquid oxygen. PH adjusted to 6.4. Each pot 4L of water and small pot 1L. Run off water for plant 1,2,3,5 - 6.8 -7.2 Plant 4 - 6.8. Surprisingly alkalinic. Not sure why. Hopefully after plain watering today, it will go back to normal range.
Plant 4 is showing more amber trichomes. Mostly cloudy ones. Clear trichomes are still present but minimal. Its a good time to flush. Since the medium is hydro, I'll just have to flush for a week then harvest! Plant 2 trichomes have turned half clear and half cloudy. Not very confident of my findings though. I'll check again after few days. The thing with taking pictures with macro lens on a smart phone is the image can be really good but when zoomed in its quite hard to make out clear and cloudy trichomes. As you zoom in and it goes out of focus, clear trichomes can appear blurry and giving cloudy appearance. Maybe if I disable the auto mode and do it myself manually it would produce better focused image.
1/3/2020 - Plant 1,2,3,5 feeding with molasses, Micro, Bloom and oxygen. Plant 4 is just plain water pH to 6.3.
Trichomes inspection for plant 4 revealed more turning amber. Plant 2 trichomes are still predominantly clear. Perhaps another week of nutrient feed before flushing. Plant 2 moved to the middle as the leaves look like it's getting bleached from light. More yoyos added to support the buds for plant 4. Overall plants are healthy and no signs of pests, gross malnutrition or other issues. As the plants are getting into the later stage of flowering, I noticed that the run off water pH is more towards alkalinic. But still within acceptable range for soil and hydro for plant 4. But plants appear healthy so its all good.
Molasses - 1tbs/gallon Micro - 1ml/L Bloom - 2.1ml/L Oxygen - 1ml/L 13L water. 4L for plant 1,2,3. 1L for plant 5 Molasses - 3.5 tbsMicro - 13ml Bloom - 28ml Oxygen - 13ml Ph adjusted to - 6.5 Plant 4 - 2L of plain water mixed with 2ml of O2. PH adjusted to - 6.3 Runoff water pH - only checked for plant 1,2 3, 5,- 6.8-7.0.
WEEK 13 ( 2/3/2020 – 8/3/2020)
2/3/2020 - Plant 4 plain water pH to 6.6
3/3/2020 - Molasses - 1tbs/gallon Micro - 1ml/L Bloom - 2.1ml/L Oxygen - 1ml/L 13L water. 4L for plant 1,2,3. 1L for plant 5 Molasses - 3.5 tbs, Micro - 13ml Bloom - 28ml Oxygen - 13ml Ph adjusted to - 6.5 Plant 4 - 2L of plain water mixed with 2ml of O2. PH adjusted to - 6.3 Runoff water pH not checked
Plant 1,2,3,5 feeding with molasses, Micro, Bloom and oxygen. Plant 4 is just plain water pH to 6.3 Trichomes inspection for plant 1 and2. It's so hard to stabilize the digital microscope to get a clear image. I can't seem to record videos. Buggy app. So I had to cut off smallpieces of buds. Plant 1 is mostly clear. But noticed amber trichomes on the sugar leaves. As for plant two it's about 50 cloudy 50 clear.Looks like after this cycle of nutrient watering, I can start flushing the plant. Plant 4 is for harvest as planned this coming Friday. Andtoday is going to be the last day of watering. I'm extremely unsatisfied with the trichomes inspection. I have to find a way to stabilize thedigital camera to get better image.
5/3/2020 - Cal mag - 0.5ml/L Micro - 1ml/L Bloom - 2.1ml/L Oxygen - 1ml/L Silicon - 1ml/L 13L water. 4L for plant 1,2,3. 1L for plant 5. Cal mag -6.5ml Micro - 13ml Bloom - 28ml Oxygen - 13ml Silicon - 13ml Ph adjusted to - 6.6 Run off water 7.0-7.2 Plant 4 - no watering done.
Plant 5 leaves appear bleached. About 4 or 5 leaves. Not sure if it's because of light burn or nutrient issue. But the buds look healthy and getting bigger.
6/3/2020 - Trichome inspection done for plant 2 and 5. Turns out I could have stabilized the digital microscope by putting it on the table and bring the pots close to the table. Worked out perfectly. It's quite clear now that it's 50 cloudy and 50 clear. Good time to start flushing tomorrow. But I'll be mixing Molasses since it's organic.
Plant 4 harvested today as planned. It was a sad day. Took about 3.5 hours. Fan leaves were disposed. Sugar leaves and small airy buds collected and wrapped in a loose ball with cheese cloth and placed in dry tent. The idea is keeping leaves together will help to dry them slowly like the buds. I'm going to keep them as my backup in case the current batch finishes before my next grow. My first harvest and trim went really well I'd say. I used the same clipper used for LST to hold the branches inside the dry tent. Hung upside down with a hanger. The dry tent was left open. The room humidity can maintain around 45 - 50 rh. Temp 21 - 24 c. So there is no need to vent out anything. I placed a small fan on the tent floor pointed to the opposite wall and not hitting the buds directly. If humidity goes lower I might just turn off the fan. Don't want to dry it too fast.
7/3/2020 - Plant 1 trichomes looks like half clear and half cloudy. Need to verify in next watering. If it is, I might harvest plant 1,2 and 5 together.Plant 1 might need another 2 weeks to really fill up the buds. If plant 2 and 5 can wait, then it would be perfect.
5L of water mixed with molasses and O2 for plant 2 and 5. The start of flushing. Molasses - 1.5 tbs O2 - 5ml pH adjusted to 6.6 8L of water mixed with silicon, molasses, Micro, Bloom and O2 for plant 1 and 3. Silicon - 8ml Molasses - 2tbs Micro - 8ml Bloom - 17ml O2-8ml pH adjusted to 6.8
WEEK 14 ( 9/3/2020 – 15/3/2020)
9/3/2020 - 5L of water mixed with molasses and O2 for plant 2 and 5. The start of flushing. Molasses - 1.5 tbs O2 - 5ml pH adjusted to 6.5 8L of water mixed with Micro, Bloom and O2 for plant 1 and 3 Micro - 8ml Bloom - 17ml O2 -8ml Ph adjusted to 6.5
Plant 1 trichomes inspected. Still about half clear half cloudy. Another day of nutrient feeding, then ill start flushing. So I still might be able to harvest all three plants together. Plant 2 buds are so frosty! Plant 4 is drying well. No signs of mold. Another day or so I might be able to cut it into the Mason jar for curing. I got a WiFi enabled IR universal remote. Now I can set timer to the device and it will turn on the aircond automatically! Should have thought of this earlier. I also got a switchbot. It's a WiFi enabled device to turn switches on and off. It was supposed to be used for the dehumidifier but the dehumidifier is touch sensitive and not pressure. So didn't work out as planned. Overall everything is good and no issues.
10/3/2020 - Plant 2 trics almost all cloudy. I think if I wait for another week till next Friday should be perfect for harvest. Plant 5 is about 50 to 70 percent cloudy. Looks like both plants can be harvested next week.
11/3/2020 - 13L of water mixed with 13ml of 02. PH adjusted to 6.5.
Led light driver replaced with a new one that I got from Mars hydro few weeks ago. I was supposed to change it immediately but since the old one didn't require me to do any brightness adjustment, I just didn't install the new driver. But now since the temperature increases by 5 degrees every time the light turns on plus plant 1 is showing signs of foxtailing, I decided to change the driver and reduce the brightness. Its hard to estimate what's the optimal brightness while flowering without a PAR meter. Pre-filter removed and washed. Hope the duct fan is more effective in reducing the tent temperature after this.
13/3/2020 - 5L of water mixed with molasses and O2 for plant 2 and 5. The start of flushing. Molasses - 1.5 tbs O2 - 5ml pH adjusted to 6.5 8L of water mixed with silicon, Cal mag, Micro, Bloom and O2 for plant 1 and 3 Silicon - 8ml Cal mag - 4ml Micro - 8ml Bloom - 17ml O2 -8ml pH adjusted to 6.5
Plant 4 might have over dried. The buds are crispy dry on the outside. But the stems are still bendy and didn't snap. I still cut the buds out and placed them in Mason jars. Placed the digital hygrometer inside a jar and noticed the humidity exponentially increasing. So I didn't overdry them after all. Plus the smell is not hay like but instead quite sweet and pungent. The buds themselves as expected quite airy and loose. But total dry weight is 108g. Quite impressive as I didn't expect anything more than 70g. Jar 1 - 23g Jar 2 - 23g Jar 3 - 23g Jar 4 -23g Jar 5 - 16g
Typing this after just finishing half a joint. Just after 2 puffs, it went up immediately. Coughed like crazy. Taste is almost sweet. Not much profile identifiable.
Trichomes inspection for plant 2 and 5 revealed all cloudy trichomes. Just another week of flush and it would be good to harvest. Plant 1trichomes are mostly cloudy. So the next watering I can start flushing for plant 1.this will go on for another 2 weeks then harvest.
15/3/2020 - 9L of water mixed with molasses and O2 for plant 1, 2 and 5. Molasses - 2.5 tbs O2 - 9ml Ph adjusted to 6.5 4L of water mixed with silicon, Micro, Bloom and O2 for plant 3 Silicon - 4ml Micro - 4ml Bloom - 8.4ml O2 -4ml Ph adjusted to 6.5
WEEK 15 (16/3/2020 – 22/3/2020)
17/3/2020 - Alright! This will be last watering for plant 2 and 5 before harvest in 3 days time. Plant 2 is so frosty! Gonna be such an awesome smoke. I've been smoking plant 4 past few days and it's bloody brilliant. And plant 4 is the least frosty one and quite loose. Plant 1 leaves are starting to turn yellow now. Still minimal. I think I can wait for another 1.5 weeks before harvest. I should check the trichomes on my next watering.
13L of water mixed with molasses and O2 for plant 1, 2, 3 and 5. Molasses - 3.5 tbs O2 - 13ml pH adjusted to 6.5
19/3/2020 - 4L of water mixed O2 for plant 1. O2 - 9ml Ph adjusted to 6.5 4L of water mixed with Micro, Bloom and O2 for plant 3 Micro - 4ml Bloom -8.4ml O2 -4ml pH adjusted to 6.5
20/3/2020 - Plant 2 and 5 harvested as planned. My sister helped out quite a bit with the trimming. 4 hours work with both of us on it. Plant 5 the smaller one is filled with trichomes that I had to wipe down my scissors with alcohol wipe several times.quite excited to find out how these buds would smoke.
21/3/2020 - 4L of water mixed with molasses and O2 for plant 1. Molasses - 1.5 tbs O2 - 4ml Ph adjusted to 6.5 4L of water mixed with Cal mag,Micro, Bloom and O2 for plant 3 Cal mag - 4ml Micro - 4ml Bloom - 8.4ml O2 -4ml Ph adjusted to 6.5
WEEK 16 (23/3/2020 – 29/3/2020)
23/3/2020 - 4L of water mixed with molasses and O2 for plant 1. Mollasses - 1.5 tbs O2 - 4ml Ph adjusted to 6.5 4L of water mixed with silicon, Micro,Bloom and O2 for plant 3 Silicon - 4ml Micro - 4ml Bloom - 8.4ml O2 -4ml pH adjusted to 6.5
25/3/2020 - 8L of water mixed with molasses and O2 for plant 1 and 3. Molasses- 3 tbs O2 - 8mlPh adjusted to 6.5
Light height raised to 14 inches from the highest canopy which is plant 3. Light brightness is maxed out. Plant 1 moved to the front. Heavy buds supported with Yo-Yos. Trichomes inspected. Plant 1 is almost all cloudy. But very few amber trichomes. Since the first three plants I harvested when all trichomes are cloudy, so for this plant I'm going to wait for another week and let a lot more amber ones observable. No rush to harvest. As for plant 3 trichomes, I would say about 50/50 clear cloudy. Should be good to start flushing now but since I'm planning to harvest this late as well, I'm going to nutrient feed for another week before I start flushing. This allows it to have longer time to increase the bud mass. I'm estimating the final dry weight to be at least 130g.
27/3/2020 - Plant 2 and 5 dried for exactly one week. Small branches can be broken easily. Buds were cut and placed in mason jar. Plant 2 yielded exactly 100g and plant 5, 46g. Quite impressed with plant 5 actually. 46g for a plant grown in 1 gallon pot! The buds are beautiful and glistening with trichomes. Not as dense as I would like it to be but definitely more dense than plant 4. Overall quite happy with the outcome. Now comes the annoying part of the burping process as there are more jar now to open and close 2 times a day.
3L of plain water pH adjusted for plant 1. pH adjusted to 6.5 4L of water mixed with Cal mag, Micro, Bloom for plant 3 Cal mag - 4ml Micro- 4ml Bloom - 8.4ml pH adjusted to 6.5
28/3/2020 - 2L pH 6.5 water given to both plants. Plant 3 pot felt quite light while watering yesterday.
29/3/2020 - Plant 1 yo-yo removed and pot moved to the back. Dead leaves removed. The sugar leaves are starting to turn yellowish/purple. Plant 3 moved to the front
3L of water mixed with 1 tbs of molasses for plant 1. pH adjusted to 6.5 4L of water mixed with Cal mag, Micro, Bloom for plant 3 Calmag - 4ml Micro - 4ml Bloom - 8.4ml Ph adjusted to 6.4
WEEK 17 (30/3/2020 – 5/4/2020)
31/3/2020 - 3L of water mixed with 1 tbs of molasses for plant 1. pH adjusted to 6.5 4L of water mixed with silicon, Cal mag, Micro, Bloom and o2 for plant 3 Silicon - 4ml Cal mag - 4ml Micro - 4ml Bloom - 8.4ml O2 - 4ml pH adjusted to 6.8
Today is the last day of watering for plant 1 and will harvest in 3 days time. Light brightness reduced. First driver turned to minimum and second driver turned to 70 percent bright. Now this light issue has been bothering me for some time. Its an led light and there is no way for me to estimate the adequate brightness level without a PAR meter. Since all the plants developed signs of foxtailing, I'm pretty sure that the brightness is too high for the plants. Despite increasing the height of the light, still the same. Not forgetting the tent temperature rise of 5 - 7 degrees when light turned on. So now the idea is by the decreasing the brightness and lowering the light to level to 16 inches from highest canopy, the plants would do better. I might have to invest in a par meter if I want to continue using led for my next grow. I'm quite happy with led for now and no plans of trying different lights.
2/4/2020 - Light adjustment done as planned yesterday. But now it's too close to the highest canopy. About 8 inches. I can't pull the ratchet up anymore. Perhaps if I shorten the steel cable from the light, I might be able to increase 3 to 4 inches higher. A job for tomorrow. Plant 1moved to the front for easier access for harvest tomorrow. Plant 3 trichomes inspected and its almost all cloudy. I think I can push another week of nutrient feed before I start flushing. For this plant I'm targeting 20 to 30 percent trichomes turning amber before harvest.I knew that trichomes maturity can have effect on the high but I underestimated the spectrum of effect it really has. Plant 4 the first plant to be harvested was about 70 percent cloudy and the high profile is more of anxiousness, paranoia, palpitations and negative thoughts.Followed by deep couch lock and low mood. But plant 2 and 5 on the other hand, they were harvested when all were cloudy with about 10percent amber trichomes. The high profile in the beginning is quite relaxed and more positive thoughts. Followed by deep relaxation and good sleep. Wake up the next day feeling more energetic.
4L of water mixed with silicon, Cal mag, Micro, Bloom and o2 for plant 3 Silicon - 4ml Cal mag - 4ml Micro - 4ml Bloom - 8.4ml O2 - 4mlPh adjusted to 6.8
3/4/2020 - Plant 1 harvested as planned but could only cut half of the buds and wet trim it. Too busy with other things to finish in one sitting. The balance uncut stems with the pot replaced in the tent to continue tomorrow. The buds were so heavy, it was a challenge to hold on to the base of the cut stem to trim. The stem bends like a bitch from the weight of the bud.
4/4/2020 - 4L of water mixed with Micro and Bloom for plant 3 Micro - 4ml Bloom - 8.4ml pH adjusted to 6.4
Successfully harvested plant 1. Similar to plant 4, plant 1 did not have a strong smell. I'm curious as to how the high would be. One more plant to go then!
5/4/2020 - Didn't have much to do today so decided to take some macro shots of the buds. Few shots turned out fantastic!
WEEK 18 (6/4/2020 – 12/4/2020)
6/4/2020 - 4L of water mixed with 1tbs of molasses. PH adjusted to 6.5
8/4/2020 - 4L of water mixed with silicon, Micro, bloom Silicon - 4ml Micro - 4ml Bloom - 9ml pH adjusted to 6.6
9/4/2020 - 2L of plain watering done with pH adjusted to 6.5
10/4/2020 - Today is the last day of nutrient watering. After this, flush and two weeks after that, harvest!
4L of water mixed with Silicon - 4ml Cal mag - 4ml Micro - 4ml Bloom - 9ml Ph adjusted to 6.5
11/4/2020 - I think I might have overdried plant 1. The small branches break off easily but the bigger ones can still hold. The buds just seem really dry and crumbles. I hope jarring the buds somewhat helps to regain the moisture. Despite its over dried state, the total weight came to 144grams. Quite impressive I'd say! And I have another plant to harvest. I estimate the final weight for this grow could touch 550 grams! Bloody amazing for my first grow. Most of the equipment for my next grow is ready here. I'll be using 70L containers. 2 container for two plants. My seeds are on the way from weedseedexpress. I'll be planting 1 harlequin and 1 green crack. The harlequin is going to be for my mom while green crack will be for the guys and myself.
12/4/2020 - 4L of water mixed with 1tbc of molasses. PH adjusted to 6.5
WEEK 19 (13/4/2020 – 19/4/2020)
13/4/2020 - 2L of plain water ph adjusted to 6.6
14/4/2020 - 4L of water mixed with 1 tbs of molasses. PH adjusted to 6.4
15/4/2020 - 2L of plain water ph adjusted to 6.5
16/4/2020 - 2L of plain water ph adjusted to 6.5
17/4/2020 - 4L of water mixed with 1 tbs of molasses. PH adjusted to 6.5
18/4/2020 - 2L of plain water ph adjusted to 6.5
19/4/2020 - 4L of water mixed with 1 tbs of molasses. PH adjusted to 6.5
More leaves are starting to turn yellow. Nothing to do with nutrients. It's just that the plant is in post maturity. Checked trichomes yesterday and all cloudy. No amber ones yet. I think I'll harvest in a week time.
WEEK 20 ( 20/4/2020 – 26/4/2020)
20/4/2020 - 2L of Ph 6.5 watering done.
21/4/2020 - Trichomes inspected and still almost all cloudy. Maybe 2 or 3 trichomes turning amber. Thought of harvesting in 3 days time but I think I'll wait for another week instead. Its fine. No rush. I can start working on setting up the grow room for my next grow. I should test out the air and water pumps. The seeds are not even here yet. So no rush to harvest.
4L of water mixed with 1 tbs of molasses. PH adjusted to 6.5
23/4/2020 - 4L of water mixed with 1 tbs of molasses. PH adjusted to 6.5
24/4/2020 - Work area cleaned. Fixed a wall shelf and got an IKEA steel rack. More organized now. All ready for my next grow!
25/4/2020 - 4L of water mixed with 1 tbs of molasses. PH adjusted to 6.5
Week 21 (27/4/2020 – 3/5/2020)
27/4/2020 - 4L of plain water pH adjusted to 6.5
29/4/2020 - 4L of plain water ph to 6.5.
This will be my last watering before harvest in 2 days time! It has been 5 months of watering every 2 days. I'm so done with watering plants individually. I don't think I'll ever go back to soil or coco. Even if I do grow in soil or coco, I'll create an automated watering system with nutrient reservoir. The aircond is finally showing signs of decline. Need to get it serviced before starting the new grow.
1/5/2020 - It's harvest day!
Harvested the last plant today. Did a proper wet trim. The buds are quite dense and heavy. I'm betting this will be the winner. I'm estimating 170-180 grams. I couldn't fit all the buds in the smaller dry tent. So just used the grow tent instead. That's it then! My first grow is done! Will be starting the next grow in 2 weeks time. Still waiting for the seeds. Details for next grow: Top fed dwc (bubbleponics). Two air pumps and two water pumps. Grown in two 70 L tote box. 4 x 4 gorilla grow tent with extension height to 10 feet. One harlequin strain and another green crack. Light upgraded to hlg 550 v2 rspec led qb. General hydroponics flora series for base nutrients. Additional supplements : Cal mag, humic acid, silicon, hydroguard, liquid oxygen.
7/5/2020 - After drying for 6 days, the small branches crack but doesn't break off easily. The buds are dry but not brittle. Dried plant taken down, cut and stored in Mason jars. The buds are airy. Hope after curing it would look better. Final dry weight is 251 grams! This is just insane!Total yield is 649 grams! Extremely happy and satisfied with my first grow.
