FF Ocean Forest in 5G fabric pots. May go coco next grow. Week 1: PH Water only; Day 10: Started low-strength Nute Schedule. All seedlings taking well to first feeding. Exhaust fan turned off to raise temps and humidity in tent for veg. 2 stationary fans left on. Apologies in advance for photo duplicates, editing mistakes, and general low-frequency stupidity. I'll try and edit as I go. And NO, the air and solution temps are not 50! More like 79 - lights on; 68 lights off. Can't figure out how to edit some of this stuff. ;)

6 inch exhaust lowers humidity to about 30% so still left off except for me turning it off and on at random. It has a variable speed control which drops cfm from 405 to just below 300. It still seems to replenish the air in my 4x4 too quickly, removing needed humidity during veg, and reducing co2 levels during flowering. Eventually may drop down to a 4" exhaust at 195 cfm and plug into external variable speed pot. Will defoliate first set of fan leaves tomorrow, not much else. Been busy outdoors working in main garden while weather is dry and warm.

Lowered light to 24". Growth seems slow to this point. Maybe it's just because I haven't grown an auto in awhile...who knows? It does seem to have sped up since adding the Exhale CO2 bag about 12 days ago. Undergrowth forming fast. Nevermind the poop stains on the leaves lol - I get sloppy when watering.

NCH Flowered day 43; Smoothie - 45; MK Ultra 1 & 2 - 47 Seemed kind of late to start flowering but more for me ;). Stopped Grow Big, switched to Fox Bloom. Minimal defoliation this morning (day 48). I don't usually pluck unless it's blocking something more important. Leaf-tucking several times a day since we're not going anywhere... (Thanks, Wu) CO2 is obviously working - super duper veg growth. Can't wait to see how it affects bud structure inside my tent. Last few grows in the tent have been minus CO2. Smoke was fine but aesthetically not so impressive and that's across many strains. Strains from Mephisto that lean heavy towards the Walter White parent are usually whispier than those more expressive of the other parent.

Forgot to take training wire off of Smoothie thereby topping itself as it grew - Grrr. Oh well, this is the first auto I've accidentally topped and it was at the beginning of flowering, so probably a small loss (not concerned). I've been wanting to top an auto just to see how it affects yield anyway. MK#2 seems a day or two behind #1. Still out of PH Down so I'm at 6.6 - Little purpling on petioles of Smoothie and NCH. Also, NCH started showing a Nitrogen deficiency late in Veg. The 2 MK Ultras seem completely unphased by all of this and are green as envy. Started my photos inside (It's that time of year, yay!) By this point I'm talking to myself anyway so back to rolling. Night Y'all. Puff, Puff, Pass, babe. ( >^_^)>!<(^_^< ) Zzzz...

Nothing this week. Will drop off some pics later. Light went half-out, so nothing is going as planned. On the ‘bright’ side: got a new Spider Farmer LED board. Got sidetracked away from this diary so I’ll have post back later.

Started using the SF-4000 about this time - amazing light but these plants had a lot of catching up to do at this point. All 4 plants behind breeder projected harvest times, especially the MK Ultras. I wasn’t really in a hurry on this grow, but I was hoping to have the whole tent to devote to starting my outdoor plants under lights at about the same time. Not happenin’.

The Spider Farmer SF-4000 is one of the best upgrades I've made. Way more effective than the Viparspectra 1200, and costs about the same to operate at full power. The light is much cleaner, brighter, whiter, and the plants are loving it. The footprint during flowering is much more obvious. The extra $200 is a no-brainer. Didn't plan on making the upgrade yet but am glad I did. MK Ultra is going to be a nice-yielding auto. I love the original strain - Deep Piney, old school aromas and flavors. Great Indica OG stone - relaxed, giggly. and happy. Great for inducing laughter to work up exhaustion and eventually nap-time. Hoping to get more physical effects than other autos I've grown. Smoothie is a beautiful plant - dark, aromatic, and stately. Looking forward to growing this outdoor with zero stalk training. This is by FAR the sturdiest stalk I've ever seen on an auto. I'm certain that some of it has to do with auxins and my accidental topping earlier on as well as great genetics. Back up the dam so to speak. Looking forward to growing more FastBuds. Northern Cheese Haze is my first Cheese strain, auto or photo. I'm in love with this variety. Where have you been all my life? I've smoked LBS of Mexican brick skunkweed, but can't remember anything that ever smelled this putrid - fantastic! Will obtain some Big Buddha Cheese for next years outdoor photo grow. I'm at my legal limit at this point, so no big cheese for me yet. If anyone reads this and can recommend a great Cheese strain, auto or otherwise please by all means speak up!

NCH and Smoothie both outside now to make room for photos. Some parts of NCH, where leaves and flowers overlap, are so caked over with white that it looks like a happy ending. The MKs show obvious differences between sativa and indica-dominant phenos. MKU1 (Shine On) started flowering 2 days sooner than #2, and being sativa dominant will probably pull her at first sign of 10+% amber to keep her great for daytime use. MKU2 (Crazy Diamond) is indica dominant, and I plan on letting her go a bit longer than 10% for a more nighttime effect - up to 30%ish as long as she stays un-hermied. Smell is bright, pungent citrus and mostly the same, the difference being that #2 leaning more toward orange (G13?) on the Indica dominant, and #1 more lemony (OG Kush) on the sativa dom. All this said these strains should have been finished by 4/20 (now May 4) if the breeders info were more accurate. No worries, I just wanted to have the autos hanging upside down by now. AND BTW I ordered some Big Buddha Cheese (FINALLY found some restocked!!) I may go ahead and swap one of my Afghan Kush plants out to grow one of these babies. I swear have the best smelling garden in my town, even though my friends say I'm nose-blind to pot. ;)

Not too much to say about this one. It's like Northern Lights with an earthiness and no sweetness. Much like a cheap cigar minus the bitter. This particular pheno is the smallest I've grown structurally. It started off great and then just fizzled out at the start of flowering. Stretched 2 or 3 inches then nothing. In the end I only harvested about 3 quarter ounces. A total waste of a 5 Gallon pot/space. Should have been put in the corner in a 2 or 3 at the largest. Smell while growing was fantastic. Floral, pungent, sweet, musky - very Cheesy. WHERE is the Haze, peops?? Other than whimsical bud structure there is almost no Haze presence: not the high, not the smell, not the taste. I love my SPICY, Haze, but this seed lacked it totally. Maybe I'll have luck with the other 2. Not really much cheese flavor, either. Stone is excellent! Very potent little Auto, which is why I even bothered with a 6. Something that smells that DANK while growing it should at least have some dankness to the final cured product - this one turned out bland. I feel like I just stumbled across one of those few seeds that put out a weak, inferior pheno. I do believe this strain has great potential, though. Not my fave Mephisto strain (LOVE Sour Stomper). Much luck growing it! P.S. Let her go past the recommended 80! These doubled up during the second swell and would have otherwise been extremely thin buds. Many, many Triches on this strain.

Great easy strain to grow, very potent, very tasty, moderately pungent, and overall fantastic! Pulled at day 93, way beyond the listed harvest time, otherwise the buds would've been weak, small, and underdeveloped. It still needs a couple of months of curing to really know how this or any strain will fully play out, but so far, so good. Screwed up on the grow, lost my main khola which resulted in a substantially lower yield on my part. The buds are big, plump, and pungent, with very dark leaves. The smell and taste are dusky berries and ripe fruit. Very nice! Kind of like Shiskaberry with a bit of fruitiness. The high is very pleasant. I can keep my eyes open and keep typing, or close them and rest a bit - either way. Great example of a Hybrid strain, leaning towards both side of the spectrum. Relaxed, yet energetic and creative enough if needed. Very low anxiety factor for a hybrid. This is very well representative of both strains, with a nice berry and fruit smell, which is kind of rare to have both. Easy on the palate and great for anytime of day. Getting ready to spark up another and head out to the garden. PEACE 😎

Low harvest weight due to me not taking wire off of main stem while growing, thereby severing the Khola from the plant early in flowering. 😔

This is definitely a chill out and do nothing strain. Probably the most potent, head-thumper auto I’ve grown so far. The high is a tad cloudy for my taste, but if that is what you want you will get it here. This one is up there with Sour Stomper as far as stank and flavor. This pheno leaned more towards the OGK side of while the other was more Indica, G13 side, with a heavy orange and citrus smell. Bright and earthy. Tastes exactly like it smells.

Stomp my feet for this one but I did not weigh it. Nope, I smoked it. My bad. I started out only smoking a small bud and then one led to another and I got busy, yadda yadda LoL Go to plant #2 for better details.

As with MKU1 this is a total head-thumper. A bit cloudy - like snorting mud it just keeps backing up in your head lol. The greatest smell though, only 2nd to Sour Stomper as far as autos. This is a perfect blend of it’s parents - OGK and G13. Slightly more on the lemon (OGK) side of citrus, whereas the other pheno was more G13 (orangey citrus).

This whole thing took forever and the overall finish time was horrid, but my bad. I didn’t realize that half my lights were out until I noticed the plant wasn’t developing properly. I dunno, I just never bothered getting down low enough to look. I did grow one of these out on my balcony with a small amount of lower bud removal (no diary though). It finished in only 8 weeks using True Signal. If growing in soil you would do fine if you prefer 3 gallon pots or smaller. Yield was fantastic considering there was a pause in growth and a change of lights. 3 ounces (exactly) for an auto grown in soil is amazing. MKU1 was about a half-ounce lighter, but still great. I would grow this again if there were not so many new things out there. This is a real Stinker - bright, aggressive, pungent, earthy, heavy duty citrus - absolutely ethereal. This is going to test your carbon filtration if you use it. P.S. I’m so glad my old LED broke. Gave me a chance to try a quantum board. Best break ever.

Back to your outddor question. Iam growing every year agood nmber of plants outdoors. And adapting the lightschedule is never a problem to the plants. More difficult is the first week, until they are used to sun and wind. The ony enemy of an outdoor grow is continous rain in the late flower ... and heavy winds. So i give my ladies a" cage" to lean on and some strips to hold them against heavy winds. And they get a transparent roof against rain ( in late flower) You can look in my outddor doaries like the " Shaman"-Diary ... there are some tips for outdoors

@Mrs_Larimar, This helped tremendously, thank you! Still no roof or greenhouse but the steel cages and plant tape works fantastic. Branch snapping winds will be coming through tomorrow so they will get their biggest test yet with the buds putting on their final weight, but so far so great. Using RecycleSil during veg helps. Thanks a ton!

Fantastic grow my friend 👍 those buds look outstanding. I checked out your page since I saw you were using the Spider SF-4000. I just ordered one and wanted to see how other grower felt about it. I’m glad I checked your page. To see how happy you were and to get the stamp of approval from @Mrs_Larimar was all I needed to feel great about my decision. I can’t wait.
