Week one Started out with 3 strains 1. Jack H, 2. White W. and 3. Blueberry --all popped within a day with exception of one JH. I transferred all at 48 hrs to soil, 1/2 seem to have crapped out in the soil transfer process. Not sure what happened. I suspect shock of transfer from warm paper towel to cooler soil, they were also just a bit dry. After 5 days I decided to scrap the 3 soil no shows. I started 3 additional strains. 4. Western Winds, 5. Strawberry Diesel and 6. Divine apocalypse. These 3 seeds popped within 24 hrs and were transferred at 48 with 1/2 inch taps. I transferred the last three into warm root riot cubes and these were placed into 1/2 gallon pots. Currently the lighting is a single 24" T5. I have all the potentials in 1/2 gallon pots sitting on a root warmer. My grand plan is to compare the differences during their growth cycles and enjoy the melody. The JH is leggy and vivacious at approx. 4 inches, the White widow is 3" and the Blueberry is 2". These 3 slackers (now a week behind should emerge within the next 48 hrs. I plan to attempt my first scrog. Wish me luck, this should be fun.

Ok week 2ish. I placed them all under a 600 W LED one day ago. Having an issue with temps up to 81 F. so I have the light at 29 inches in a 32" x 32" x 60 grow tent that I am keeping open and blowing cool air in. They have already started greening up and looking healthy and stronger. Misting leaves 2 x's a day with a few drops of water onto the bases around the roots once a day. Overall I am pleased. I weaned them on the T5 for almost two weeks total to let the latest seedlings catch up. They are now the following sizes (IN SOIL -- BlueBerry is 3," Jack H. is 4.5," White W. is 3" )). ((IN ROOT RIOT Straw Diesel is 4.5," Divine Apoc. is 3.5," and Western W is 4.5.")). The Jack and the Diesel looking the most vivacious. So ignore my first measurements in length- they were estimated and either I was completely off or there was some shrinkage, (must have been cold 😂. ) The ones in root riot noticeably took off and caught up and surpassed the seeds planted into the soil. see ya=all next week.

Welp Wk 3ish is here. The little ladies have started to differentiate themselves after 7 days under the LED. The pics are starting show phenotypes. The girls have pretty much stopped stretching and the leaves are starting to thicken and green up. The Western Winds, Straw Diesel and Jack remain the most vigorous appearing. The White Widow and Blueberry look like they will be short and stocky. For some reason the Divine apoc just looks boring to me... A little more about my set-up ~while the little ones are being nurtured from seedlings into veg stage. I am using a Vipar Spectra PAR 600 - I used it for one grow about a 9 months ago. It is built like a beast, uses 285w and is great for veg, tried to flower under it as well but i didn't get the results I was looking for so 1/2 way into the flower stage I switched over to HPS 1000w to finish. I think it was $229.00 new. I plan on bringing these seedlings up under the LED until they are big enough to start my first SCROG. I will then switch to 600W MH. My little seedling tent op is super simple. The tent was a bargain~ Oshion 32"x 32"x 63" at $54.00 (does have a few pinhole light leaks along the zippers). I have a Vornado VH101 personal heater $29.00 running as needed (growing in garage in the winter) - it is super efficient and quite amazing. I have the light running off a gardening timer $15.00. The heater and fan are ran by a Inkbird Itc-308 two stage Digital Temperature Controller, $28.00. I am monitoring temp and humidity with AcuRite 00613 Humidity Monitor with Indoor Thermometer, Digital Hygrometer and Humidity Gauge Indicator, $9.00 -(I think it has been pretty darn accurate, but is dependent upon placement in the tent). Next time I would spend a little more... My temps are dialed in, but humidity has been tough as usual here in the western high desert and it is drier that my mouth after smoking a Oz of mexi ditch weed, (outside humidity has been under 15% for the last two weeks). Due to air flow limitations I don't want to put a little humidifier in the seedling tent. I decided to make my own contraption in an attempt at increasing the humidity. I cut out a washed out milk jug and filled with water. I have the Vornado blowing over it - and each time the heater kicks on (many times a day for just a minute or so) I am hoping it increases the humidity. Within the next week I may start using a very light nutrient added to the water. Not sure where to go here on this one, the Fox Farms soil they are in is probably enough for now. This will be only my 3rd indoor grow, I have done 2 outdoor grows as well. So not a ton of experience here. This is a fun little hobby for me a this point. The learning curve is almost straight up. Luckily I am not too anal, or I would have been frustrated by now. My results have been much more than I expected (mother nature and genetics seem to win out) and I have had to give away most of my flower to stay legal. I am completely open to advice and constructive criticism -- thanks for following my diary.

WOW!!! What a difference a week can make. Plants exploded in width, volume and color. The leaves have widened up nicely. Growth heights remained marginal, they are no longer stretching. Added light dose of nutrients mid week. Unfortunately I found a couple little fliers. They must have came from some of the very little bit of soil I I mixed in from my outside veggie garden. So I broke out the Nuke'em. Doused them thoroughly and the soil. Will have to spray every two days for a week or so and then weekly. I hate using anything and never have had bugs on my indoor plants. I am not happy and kicking myself for being lazy and not just running to the store for some seedling soil. Lesson learned ! The humidity went up about 10% with my open bucket of water, but still is pretty low and divergent. Oh well, it is what it is until I move them to the big tent. They all look to being doing good to my eyes. Thoughts anyone? The Divine A. still lagging a bit. I think I am going to start calling and considering her "Ms. Diva." She had better be worth it. She is the only lady here I didn't get from Seedmans. Ms. White remains short and stocky at 4.5" with less defined serration on the margin. She looks like is going to be a husky girl. Ms. Jack is steady, strong and looks very uniform. The genetics look solid. What can I say about Jack... Ms. Straw seems to be between the Jack and White. She is up to 7" and has wide, thick beautiful leaves. A Silver medalist in the making. They are looking like they would make a hell of threesome. Ms. West is simply amazing. Thick dark leaves, vigorous appearance, 7.25 tall and has filled out the most of all the ladies. She is the running neck and neck with Ms. Strawberry for my favorite. I did pay a premium for her, looks like it may be worth it. Thoroughbred all the way. Ms. Blue is 4.5" and she looks bubblish to me. I suspect she will prove very lovely. I lowered the light today to 15" - (heat isn't a problem). No sure of the best height as it seemed every place I researched had significantly different recommendations. I will be watching them closer for a few days and see if it needs adjusting.

Welp week 5ish since little ladies popped out of the soil. They are fattening up nicely. They are 70's bushy at this point and have added an inch or two or height since last week. I don't see n any reason to measure them anymore. I dosed them nutrients lightly twice over the last week. WestW, Jack and Straw Diesel continue to exhibit the best growth. I am going to top them today now that all of them have between 3-4 nodes. After that I will attempt my first low stress training for the remainder of the grow. Probably will include some micro topping to promote new growth, but other than that I just plan to bend them to maximize the SCROG method. To build the SCROG I went outback found some old light mesh wire fencing that I use to keep the deer out of my veggie garden. I will most likely use PVC and will overlay the wire mesh. My grow tent is a Gorilla Grow 4x8x9 that I got off craigslist for a song. I plan to make my 2 screens of 3'x3i'sh and leave 18-24" between them so I have room to maneuver between them. I also think I will create a system (seeing how this is my first SCROG) that I can titrate the height of the screen. I have seen double screens as well for very heavy cola's. Not sure I will go that route, looks like that method may create a difficult situation when attempting to prune. I will however, build the PVC with unions that I can add another screen on top if I choose. No more bugs -- the two little flyers seemed to have disappeared. Haven't seen them since the first spraying. I have sprayed 3 times now. I did discover a big ass spider in my little seedling tent. Works for me... bastard was about the size of a silver dollar! Named him Horace after my grandfather who was a farmer for his entire life.

Week 6ish is in the bag. I moved them into the big tent yesterday. As you can see from my system set-up I built a screen. I used some wire fencing I had left over. Each screen is 36 x 42. I used 3/4" PVC piping, and lashed the screens on top with zip ties. I was going to use screws, but this was a lot simpler and prob more sturdy. These things are built like tanks. The screens are 12" above the top of the pots. I bought a wire rack to place my carbon filter, heater, humidifier and fan on. I have the lights running on a a digital Lumatek and a digital Hydroplanet. Both ballasts can run 120/240v and autodetect the the bulb. They and can run at 400W, 600W & 1000W. They are now running at 600 MH. My hoods have 6" vent and my inline fan is pulling out. I have a 4" inline blowing in cool air. The heating/cooling are being controlled by the Inkbirds and the humidifier has its own hygrometer. Temps are dialed in to low of 68 with lights off and high of 78 with everything running. I am still working on the humidity - I ran an entire gallon into my tent (4 x 8 x 9 Gorillagrow) and the humidity never got above 50%. I have no idea how to keep the moisture in the tent. It is very dry outside as in 15% right now. I think when the fan and vents turn off on the downtime it may increase. I will have to see as they have just started their off cycle about 30 mins ago. The plants were all moved yesterday morning. They looked a little sad and droopy. I started training them last week when I topped them. Prob a bit more stress that ideal, but these genetics are obviously solid. The first two pics of the plants are right after transplanting them into the large containers. All of them were fairly root bound and soil more dry that I had thought. I gave them all some water, misted them 3 times and let them run. The last pic is of what they looked like after 24 hours. Wow - it is like they hit paydirt (pun intended). They have absolutely taken off. One day in the big pots and under the MH and I cant be more impressed. They literally look like they gained a week of growth. RIP Horace... FYI -- I may have to skip next week as I am headed to Palm trees, beaches and Bonefish. My house sitter will hopefully take some pics of them for me so that I can check in. All they need now is water, fertilizer and love.

Wow did they ladies grow. Three of the ladies were at or above the SCROG line. They really shot up and flashed 70's era bush. My caretaker did a great job. She watered 3 times (twice with water and once with nutes) in 10 days, requiring 7 gallons in all. She misted the plants daily and kept the humidifier a hoppin''. She had to open the tent the last several days as the temps were getting higher than wanted. I will have to dial in a tighter temp differential. I decided to microtop and then re-train. I topped all stems that had 4 nodes or more, (I had 3-4 that had 5-6 nodes). I had a very few stems that did not have four nodes on them yet. I trained again with wire and on a few of the larger stems I did a light crush and then tightened them down with wire. -- The uniformity of how well they have spread-out amazes me. Feeling accomplished!!! Photos before and after demonstrate the finished product. I was surprised by how well training them when young enabled me to spread the stems out like spokes on a tire. You can also see the difference in the bulbs in the fist pic. I added a bionutrient I was gifted. I decided after the trauma I would up the level of nutrients by 1/3 and will mist 2-3 times day for a couple days. Wordscore! --I found a couple cousins of Horace alive and well inside this bigger tent. My predators are alive and well. I am really starting to enjoy this diary and the training process, and I am open to advice.

The ladies did very well since micro topping and LST 7 Days ago. You can really see the difference if you compare photos. Half the plants are back above the SCORG line WhiteW, JackH and StrawD. I had them tied down at least 6 inches under the screen - so they have really responded well and have grown beyond expectation. I couldn't find Horace and friends today, but I did not look hard. I have been misting daily and have the humidifier running. Humidity has come up to round 50% - don't think with more equipment I will get it much high. I am comfortable with 50. I noticed my garden timer was slipping - I thought I was going crazy but I have noticed this slow march of on and off periods for the left light. I had as much as 30 mins to an hr where the light on the right was running and the other was off. I suspect this has been going on for weeks, I finally just caught it by being present when the lights kicked off. So that sucks, not sure how much of a difference it has made as both sides seems pretty much the same as far as growth. I narrowed in the temps and I haven't had any crazy high temps, but my lows are now 70. I will go for a low of 68 and a high of 80 - not going to be easy to dial it in that tight with my intake sucking from garage temps and the significantly fluctuating temps outside. I may have to put in an outside draw on the next grow. I can already tell when it warms up it will be hard to keep temps down without air conditioning. I will find a way though, not into using AC. I think I am about 1-2 weeks from flipping. I am also considering a Terpene boosting additive, any recommendations. I want this stuff to make my mouth water when I smell it. Speaking of smell, all it takes is to walk into the room and it hits you.

The girls came on strong. Everyone but the Diva was above the SCROG line (but I had her tied down tight like she deserves). The JackH and and StrawD had up to 10" above. I retrained as best I could even tied a few to the SCROG to pull them up. They had all been tied down and there is plenty of stretch. I suspect about 80% of the SCROG should be filled if they all take off. I did accidentally break off 3 or 4 of the nicer potential Cola's. I was rushed and am pissed at myself for moving too fast. It still took at least an hr to train 6 plants. Note to self, (buy a bigger tent), it is a pain in the ass trying to work around the plants in such a tight spots. I counted over 20 potential Cola's from both the Jack and the Diesel plants. There are some really strong amazing tops and some scrawny ones. I will try to bring them all up above the SCROG line and then I plan to flip. I will flip two weeks from now no matter what. It is getting warmer outside and my tent is keeping cool, but not sure for how long. One thing I noticed today after taking the pics is the difference in the plants on the left and the right. The difference is the bulbs, everything else is the same, of course they may just look different under the individual lights. Flower will tell as I will have the same bulbs. Cheers, everything is going very well. FYI: I looked up a few of the flower enhancers, there were rumors of heavy metals etc, but after checking with the State of WA Fertilizer database I didn't find anything of concern for my two potential choices Terpinator and Rock Resinator. If anyone has experience with either of these I would love to hear if you think if they worth it or BS. Here is a link for you guys. https://agr.wa.gov/PestFert/Fertilizers/FertDB/Supply1.aspx?action=ViewTable<r=G

Good week, in fact amazing. Wow have these plants popped. I gave them 3 good doses of nutes in the last 8 days, including some molasses and started 1/2 veg nutrients and flower nutes. They not only dominated the SCROG but popped up an easy 4 inches within days of the new nute mix with molasses. I trained the remaining stragglers that would fit thru the SCROG - Going to flip this weekend. Wish em luck. That smell though even with my filter....

I flipped to bloom 4 days ago, pics are from two days ago. Jack got a little dry once, and had to saturate. All the the ladies seem to have balanced out as far as height, each side looks like one giant bush. It is cold as hell here and the humidity is down. Humidity and temps in tent have been a challenge with all the weather variation, but seeing how I flipped I don't mind keeping humidity between 30-50% for a few weeks, the temps are minimally variable +- 4-5 degrees F. and well controlled within my desired parameters by the ink birds. I put the ballasts on digital timers, got tired of the mechanical ones slipping. I also put in two 6" hurricanes to circulate. The plants had exploded in height and I had to raise the lights. Odor was strong until I flipped, seems to have died down. Things are looking pretty. Just need to be more vigilant with hydration. I am monitoring for when to start trimming some of the lower fan leaves. Thanks all for visiting.

One full week into flower. They have shot up about 12"-18" above the SCROG. I am running 12/12 schedule with 600W HPS. Plan to crank it to 1000W last 5 weeks. Fertilizing 2 x's a week and keeping them moderately moist. I took out the humidifier, with RH around 45%. Every one of the ladies look amazing. The JackH has kinda spread out, I will need to train up the middle section. The StrawD is also quite big and tall. I estimate 95% of the SCROG is full. I will train what I can to fill in the holes and then will start looking to trim out the shaded leaves slowly. Getting excited. The flowers are already starting to show pistils. I am converting over to all bloom nutrients after two weeks or grow/bloom mix. I plan to use the molasses as well, just not sure how often yet.

Just over 2 weeks of flowering. Everything is looking good. I think the stretch is slowing. The StrawD excessive stretch concerns me if the Cola's get excessively large (exactly what we are after of course). The JackH stretch is pretty impressive as well. The other 4 ladies are more uniform so far. I had to titrate the light level for all the plant so I am splitting the distance between the taller and lower stems. The JackH dried out again, despite using the same amount of H20. I have to assume it is using more water. I soaked it pretty heavily 2 days ago and it looks great again. It seems to require a bit more vigilance than the others. AS you can see they are flowering nicely. The humidity remains low, but I have no plans to put he humidifier back in. It has been cold here, but my temps have been maintaining a 6 degree variability 69-75 F. I have about 80 cola's. This will get interesting...

Week 4 of budding. Vertical growth has slowed and they are flowering well. The StrawD and JackH look more Sativa-ish. Smell is barely present, well unless you are a friend and then it seems they notice it when entering the room. I can't even smell it anymore. Temps have been holding great. Humidity between 30-45%. I am watering every other day with 1/2 gallon and mixing in days with just a little sugar water. I need to start thinning below the scrog line - although the JackH -seems to have done it by itself. But the rest of the ladies need a trim. I also need to flip to 1000W in about 2 weeks.

Wow, a big week. Lots of changes. First of all these ladies stink, well actually the Jack and the Blueberry are reeking. The rest are mild. The ladies smell very very good, but opening the garage door despite the can filter system is like getting hit in the face. I actually like it, but really don't want guests smelling it despite the grow being legal. The Jack and the Blueberry started to show lightening of the deep green. I added a tsp of Bio-grow per gallon, (4-3-3). The blueberry greened back up and the Jack is almost back where I want it and will take another round. I have noticed with everything else being equal the Jack requires more water and nitrogen. The Blueberry just a bit more nitrogen. The remaining ladies appear solid. I shaved the ladies below the waist this am (you can see in the pics). I took a bit more than I wanted too, but they were getting their 70's bush back and I realize they will benefit in the long run. Always hard cutting off flower for me. I will say that the Blueberry and Diva has the most growth under the SCROG line and they will need some more trimming otherwise they will require a lot more trim time. I gave them each a 1/2 gallon of sugar water right after trimming to help energy of repair and added a fan to circulate below the SCROG. The lights needed to be raised again. With the different strains being different heights I just averaged out the distance per best guess, (of note: with the Straw Diesel and Jack H being a good 12" taller than the others I would grow these under the same light next time. The other plants variability in height is insignificant and could all be grown together easily. Overall they are coming along nicely. I may have to skip reporting next week as I am off in vacation again. However, my beautiful assistant will be feeding the ladies again and they are in good hands. With this being the start of week 5 of flower I am completely impressed with the genetics from Seedsman. Everyone one of them are solid. I have always used clones before this and I will not go back. The selection is poor, the genetics are watered down and I always have to place them in quarantine for disease and pests. I want to say thank you to all those who are following. I somehow got a promotion to apprentice (Don't know how that came about???). I certainly don't feel much more knowledgeable. Anyway -as always I am open to comments and suggestions.

Here is a quick vid and a few pics from last night. I am away from the ladies- but they look and smell great. The Jack and Blueberry greened back up with a little additions nitrogen. Jack is smelly as hell! Can't wait.

So in the video you can see one of my plants with upturned leaves like they are reaching up. Any one know why this happens and if all things equal why only one plant doing it?

In my experience and from what Ive learned from reading, is that this happens when your lady-friend is really enjoying her life :D I hear people call this phenomenon "praying leaves"

Got back last night. Opened the house and is reeked like a biker gang of skunks got into a fight. Wow- the flowers have continued to put on weight. They are thickening up. The StrawD - colas and main stem buds are short - as in about 4" long, when compared that is about 1/3 of the size of the others. They all have their own distinct smell, the Terpenes are outta control in a good way. The Jack, just reeks on its own and the smell dominates the others. I had to gently touch the other buds with separate fingers and then leave the room to tell the difference. I will say this, that Western Winds (Khali Myst) is looking and smelling amazing to my palette. My beautiful caretaker did a great job. They all received the perfect amount of moisture, and received one day with just water. I did throw a little 4-3-3 at the Blueberry and the White Widow last night as you can see they were yellowing up a bit and I suspect Potassium deficiency by the look of the fan leaves. I am on week 7, so I will start flushing at the end of the week for those I expect to harvest within two weeks. I cant wait... thanks all...

Ok, kinda of a poll question. Looks like I am about 2 weeks from harvest based on Seedsman recommendations. Wondering how long most people like to flush. I am going with the tradition 2 weeks, but am wide open to being educated here. So how long to flush using just H2O? tha

At least 10 days, less will result in a chemical taste in your buds that would certainly make you cough when smoking. Don't forget that even when flushing, your PH needs to be adjusted (7.5 is really strong, I recommend you to lower a bit to 6.2 - 6.5). You better start flushing early and watch trichomes with a magnifier everyday, so you can find the perfect day to cut your branches. I'll be around, good luck with this baby bro, can't wait to see your final weight and smoke report !

---I was wondering why my flowering felt behind. I went back and checked when I actually flipped the ladies (Feb 18th), so despite how GD's has it - this is actually the start of the 7th week of flower. Next time I will not update my GD to flowering until after the first week has finished. There has been some changes to the ladies as well. Mostly sugar leaves are yellowing (I think prematurely) on the StrawD, BB and WW. I was able to track it down to me not reading all instructions. (I was supposed to be running Bio-Grow simultaneously with Bio-bloom). So for the last 6 weeks the ladies have been a hair deficient. I previously had to throw in some back-up nutes, and I did again this weekend. I have ordered the Bio-grow and Bio-bloom in bulk - those one liter bottles are WAAYYY -- WAYYY over-priced. So I threw in a very-light portion of my old grow nutes along with mollasses and will use that until the Bio grow arrives in a couple days. The ladies will be fine. A little rant here - but the over marketing of nutes is a bit annoying. I seriously doubt anyone will increase yields in proportion to cost of all the snake oils products out there. They seem kind of a rip-off to me. Mother nature finds a way... Anyway- off that soapbox. The ladies continues to thicken up. The first potential harvester (Blueberry) 7-8 weeks still has almost no cloudy trichomes, and no amber. -- but she is putting on weight. All the ladies are! The Jack continues to impress and the Western Winds has a couple of Cola's that are about 12 inches long and big around as a baseball in parts. They are all very frosty- glistening very white when taking pics using the flash. I will start to use water only today on the Blueberry the next two weeks and hope for harvest at week 9ish. I will follow suit with the others over the next 4 weeks as I have plants that range from 7-11 weeks. Shout-out and thank you's for some solid advice from @bobo420.

A little slow this week posting. The ladies are looking good. I am water only on the blueberry. Trichomes still mostly clear, in fact that counts for all of them. Otherwise going as normal- going to flip Jack and White Widow to water only this weekend. Flowers are still putting on weight. Hopefully the trichomes will start turning soon...

Well, they are all on water only. The Blueberry will be harvested within 7 days. All continue to fatten up nicely, trichromes remain mostly clear but turning milky. The colors are really coming out. I broke out my good camera and I can sure see the difference. Most of the ladies have some nice purple tones to them. Currently infatuated with the Western Winds. She looks amazing!

Vigorous, hardy, likes nutrients, very smelly and huge cola's. I harvest 20 cola's of this plant. did not weight wet and tasted some non-cured. Spent the next 5 hrs cleaning the house with a clear head.😬 One huge bummer is I had a 3 count seed pack of Jack H. from Seedsman that didn't germinate at all - definitely a seed issue as all my other seeds popped as expected.

She grew well the entire time, I had no problems with deficiency or bugs. She was the prettiest of the ladies and grew thick, dense flowers. Easy to trim, great to smoke.

Welp, this is the third time I have grown Divine Apocalypse. To be honest I wish I had bought fewer seeds. She is like that snotty girl we all that looks good, is high maintenance and isn't really special.

This lady turned out the most sticky buds I have ever grown, when they dried and I was trimming it was like handling dense cotton candy. Gummed up 5 pairs of scissors on one plant. She is a very strong smoke, I had to go sit down the first time I smoke some. The buds were so dark they had a blackish green color. They are very smelly, and amazing. I have given a lot of the flowers away already - and everyone reports they love this one.
