Any experience with keeping a seedling in 12/12 to begin with, then switching over to 18/6 after the first week? Because I did that this time for tech reasons, and I do wonder if I produced a hermie. My own notion is that it will just set me a week back perhaps. Anyone know tho?

Hey growmie do not even stress about it at all peeps do 12-12 from seed with Regulars just to sex them then revenging after , i did a solo cup 12-12 but abandoned it after i saw how daunting it was to water lol, so i reveged them, i got hermies x3 out of i think 14+ plants but that is all just genetics im testing out for a buddy so yeah you are on your way to a good harvest..

Light intensity or cal/mag def? Something third? I raised the light a tad and fed a teaspoon of Epsom salt to the res, plus gave it some adjusted and fertilized water with more calcium than it's used to. It's only one leaf for now, I just want to make sure it doesn't spread.

The location is definitely strange but it is led light burn. I have had similar issues when the humidity is too high and water droplets build up on the leaves from transpiration. If the leaf is getting too much wind from the fan or intake then it can combine with the led intensity and burn them also. But in hydro it is common to lose a leaf here and there. Nothing to worry about at this point. Just keep an eye on the plant for other leaves starting to get damaged. Good luck flowering her!

I'm gonna have a lot of leftover leaves once this is all ripe, as you can see in the photo. What's the best use of them at that point?

Hi @ReeLeaf I gather it in a bag and store it in the freezer and when I have a good amount, about 1kg of leaves only, I make 15g-20g of hash. I make a good bubble hash. for me it is the best way not to waste these frosty leaves. good luck mate 🙏👍

i have the same plastic in my tent corners lol they cracked twice but im too stingy to buy new tent good luck
ReeLeaf
ReeLeafcommented5 years ago
@Reaper, it's an almost 10 years old tent, has yet to crack on me hehe, but yea, some are better made today for sure. I also found a corner for it recently, an extra corner they mustve put in the package just in case of cracks or something. And thanks.

Hey! Newbie couple here, I was wondering, are your seedlings transplanted straight into rock wool? Or do you use coco and put the cubes under the rockwool? We are using hydroponics as our first grow and having some issues 🙈 our lamps are 400w and 600w hps and we have ionic bloom and grow as nutrients. Best wishes for your grow! 🍀 MavAndy
ReeLeaf
ReeLeafcommented5 years ago
@MavAndy, hi, she's not transplanted, but germinated directly in rockwool using an infra red heat mat.

Its a lightburn... the pLnt looks everywhere nice and green, only upperleaves are effected( or the Parts that are exposed to the LIght
ReeLeaf
ReeLeafcommented5 years ago
@Mrs_Larimar, photos must be deceiving because no top leaves have it, only one mid leaf. I picked the light intensity option as the answer anyway, but i think it has more to do with high humidity on single leaves that has been entangled, like the one in question. Than it has to do with actual light intensity - i.e. it's a kind of light intensity enhanced by humidity on single spots. So close enough I guess. Thanks for your input. Happy growing!

I’m growing a northern lights right now if you want to know what you are in store for
HiddenColorado
HiddenColoradocommented5 years ago
@ReeLeaf, there is Caribbean voodoo involved in this grow just can’t get gamma rays
ReeLeaf
ReeLeafcommented5 years ago
@@HiddenColorado, well, fimming, topping, mainlining.. youre like doing everything to your plant apart from gamma rays and Caribbean voodoo, but i have actually had solid success before, in this kind of setup and with this kind of plant, with doing nothing apart from a bit of ScrOG, so that's also what I'll be doing now. Also, youre in soil, im in hydro and was set back from initial poor light, and so on, but it shall be interesting to compare results in the end, especially since youre mainlining - a technique ive been interested in pursuing for a while. Let me just tag along. Cheers 😊

I am shocked at how much this plant has grown in such a shallow medium! I'm actually jealous because i was thinking you'd need at least a 5 gal bucket for the root zone. This just proves me wrong though. Now i have about 16 inches of wasted space as far as height goes. Mind if i ask how you came across that reservoir?😀 Edit: Should have read the comments. flo gro 500 eh? how did you get it through the bottom of your tent though? it looks like you only have 4 inches of root space
ReeLeaf
ReeLeafcommented5 years ago
@StickyDog, a saw and a knife :)

Put a picture of your bucket base in harvest video so I can see it or tell me where you got it
ReeLeaf
ReeLeafcommented5 years ago
@@@@HiddenColorado, you can make out the platform in the pic called "Day 29 - platform" in week 5, and it's a Flo Gro 500.

Both my grows are soil/coco mix, on top of that they are also hydroponic. I aerate the runoff water underneath the pot bucket and drill tons of holes in the bottom. When the bucket fill the roots take outside the bucket and suck the runoff. The grow in the armoire is a recirculated grow I water extra and it does what yours does. My pot also goes into the first drawer it’s the tank that hold the extra water.
HiddenColorado
HiddenColoradocommented5 years ago
@ReeLeaf, didn’t mean to say Hydro, more like aeroponics
ReeLeaf
ReeLeafcommented5 years ago
@@HiddenColorado, normally you wouldn't mix hydro, soil and coco, because you don't want soil or coco in your pumps. But it all depends on what you call hydro ofc. People have different notions on that. Long story short, then I don't think I can use your slightly exotic setup altogether to see what I'm in the store for dude. They are still too distant from each other, and not even by the same breeder by all means. But I'll tag along so I can see how your mainlining goes, it's an interesting technique.
