This is a grape krush from dj short I've had in my rotation for about a year now. It gets really purple stems, which makes it easy to pick out in a crowd. It's been about 6 weeks since it was a clone, and a week or a week and a half since I took a couple clones off this pretty lady. Next couple weeks will be getting her another foot and a half or two feet tall and ready to move into the flower tent. Can't wait to see how she enjoys the new setup in there. More updates to come.
Getting taller and bushier, still another 8 inches to a foot she needs before she's tall enough to put in the flower tent. Another week or two and she should be ready to flip.
Just moved her into the flower tent today. Will be a bit before I consider her truly flowering. Gave her a lost shot of grow juice so she can stretch her arms real nice.
-well it's been a couple full days in the flower tent and shes in full stretch mode. It's pretty incredible to see her go.....shes really a pretty plant, with the deep purple main veins on her leaves, and deep purple stems she always has. Shes got a deep stone too if you let her go for a full 63 days
4-1-20- Shes been in 12-12 for a week now, still no signs of hardcore flower stacking. Stretch seems to be slowing a bit, but doesn't appear done yet, probably another 3 or 4 days would be my guess, but it might be another week before I can start my flower count. Time will tell....nothing else I can do but wait and watch
April 8th 2020- day 4 of flower. Looking really nice and lush. She did some good stretching, but kept everything nice and thick throughout. I might do some defoliation at some point, but I normally like to let them grow as naturally as possible. The ganja faeries and I came to an understanding many years ago.....I let the plants do what they want, they make the plants give me copious amounts of awesome green. Its a pretty awesome relationship that has been working quite well.
Day 6- She's moved to her new permanent home til she through flowering today. She's got a bit of room to stretch out still if she wants to. I'm sure she will. She also has a huge bottom arm reaching up, I may have to stake that one up in the future. Looking good though, excited to have some Krush back in my jars!!!!
Day 8-April 12th- man I love watching this girl grow. She gets purple everywhere right away
The veins in her leaves are purple. Its hard to get a good picture of with my phone, but its awesome. Dj short crossed 2 of his legendary blueberry parents to get this strain. And it shows off in the coloration almost immediately after the onset of flower. Beautiful. She is just dirty with huge fan leaves.....though it doesn't seem to be affecting the inner bud sites, they are all flourishing in there. She gets a bunch of rock hard nugs, and looks to be well on her way to giving me a nice crop. If you can get ahold of any of these genetics, I highly recommend them.
-She seems to be really blowing up around one of the uv and ir macro bloom bars I have. I have a couple uv t5s I could add....we'll see what I do
Day 17- she's starting to add weight pretty heavily. I can see a marked difference from when I checked on her this morning, just 9 hours ago. Gave her some extra nutes in her feed today, being a kush hybrid, she's always ravenous
April 25th- start of week 3 today and she's looking pretty fantastic. She's also a big of a giant, and goes through water pretty quickly now. I'm watering every 36 hours or so if not quicker. Shes gonna be a thirsty lady with the size of the buds she's already grown....another six weeks and she will be an absolute beast!
Day 26- her buds have started to get purple colorations to them. This will continue until there is purple interwoven throughout the whole plant. It's beautiful to see
Day 28- start of week 4 today. Gk is still putting on new pistils, though it has slowed a bit. She is also fattening some of her earlier calyxes. At about the half way point for her flower, starting to get a nice pungent odor with a purple smell to it....like any sort of generic grape flavored candy 🍬 would have with it. There are purple higights starting to show on some of the calyxes as well. All good stuff!
Day 31- Looks like she's experiencing a potassium deficiency....thats what I get for not reporting her into a bigger pot for flower 🤬 and I know better than this. So I made so homemade potash and fed her the liter. Hopefully it fixes it.
Day 32- doesn't seem to have provressed any further overnight last night. The night before it pretty much exploded all ove the plant, no noticeable progression today. In fact a couple of the leaves that were starting to yellow, the yellow is fading away again, now its sorta blotchy like your cheeks get when embarrassed 😳 ..... i only worry that it could also have a manganese deficiency....time will tell
day 35- Krush seems to have recovered from her deficiency. The potash I made last weekend worked for sure, she's put on some serious weight the last week and hasn't had anymoreeaf issues. I had to get rid of all the highly affected leaves as they had turned crispy and half dead. And dead matter only invites new problems....so off they went. Shes also getting a ton of purple coloring on her calyxes and sugar leaves. Looks pretty 😍
day 42- shes looking better than ever today. Bubch if her hairs have shriveled and are starting to dry out. Calyxes are fattening up very nice, and some of her trichomes are even starting to cloud over. Just a race to the finish line now!
kind of a harder strain to grow. She is beautiful though. Gets really dark stems on her leaves and when flowering the undersides of the leaves on the buds turn this brilliant beet red. The buds them selves can start to almost look black near the end of flower they turn so purple. Pretty high resin content. And is a good producer throughout flowering. But she is picky with nutrients...i had to make an ash potash for her in week 4 of flower. And then had to add extra carboload for the remainder of the grow just to keep her leaves and roots healthy. Maybe I should have given her a bigger pot. I still love her and am keeping her in my collection. She gets a grape washout on your senses when you smoke her and thats more than enough for me. If a little tlc is needed, I'm willing to give it.
Cut her down on night 47 by my count. Add more when she's done drying and curing!
-its been a couple weeks of curing and the longer she goes the more she gets a grape aftertaste. Ar least for me, she doesn't smell like grape, taste like nothing. You take a huge rip, and blow it out.....then all of a sudden your whole mouth and throat are just coated with this grapey tasting goodness. It's pretty fantastic. She gets real fat calyxes while growing, and this incredible grape washout effect you get after a good hit make her a worthwhile addition to any experienced grow room. I say experienced cause she can be a bit finicky while growing. I had to make this one an ash potash in week 4 of flower to take care of some deficiency she was experiencing. So some prior growing experience would be helpful. Theres easier strains out there to cut your teeth on if your still new to growing.
