All organic grow... Have had a hard time getting this to actually "grow". Out of 6 seeds from the same vendor only 2 have started to grow. Also have mycorrhizae in the soil. I am also "companion planting" with oregano, basil, lavender.

Plant exploded this past week in comparison. Beautiful green color, plant looks very strong!, no issues noted. Watered as needed, no added nutrients. *Added 2 normal ordinary "60w" LED lightbulbs from "drop lights", this is in addition to LED already in use.

So, growth this week very nice! Leaves fat and happy! Not over watering, just as she needs it. Watering past week 1 heavy, 2 light. Started LST as you might be able to see, did so very gently as not wanting her to break!... Plant strong and vigorous but yet supple... Shes a happy girl

Ok WOW her growth exploded this past week! I noticed the 1st pistols about 5 days ago and they have progressed steadily. We are now definitely into "pre" flower going to flower. Her growth wen from 7 days ago at 9cm w/o LST to 16cm with LST changing her shape. Tight internodal spacing, but heavy growth. Compare previous pics to these. No added nutrients as it's already in the soil. Watered as needed, alt between 2 light waterings then a heavy. The only water I use in my indoor grows is RO Water. The companion plants are growing extremely well, no noticeable bugs in the grow tent. At times there is heavy herbal smells from the oregano, basil and even the lavender is blooming..

OK.. wow! This week explosive thick growth, 1st full week into "flower". Water as she needed it as before. Increased LST a bit, being gentle (probably too gentle), very minor trimming of leaves earlier in week to allow more light to flower sites. Noticing at times a slight "Ganja" smell, which is very nice combined with the aromas of Oregano, Basil, & Lavender. Her flower sites are very pretty, loaded with white pistals. Beautiful plant all around.. Would love any suggestions or recommendations for her continued beautiful growth....

So.... another week has come and gone, all the while this medicine keeps growing... This week I continued with the LST as well as gentle trimming of fan leaves to allow light to the bud sites.. I probably be more aggressive than I am in this. Also attempting the "bend & hide" of the fan leaves. Really trying not to stress this sativa too much... Still getting that beautiful Ganja smell mixed with the flower and herbal smells from my companion plants.... it's very nice... Noticing trichomes starting to appear at the bud sites!!.. MA#1 has the most so far (which is expected) as she has always seemed a faster grower.. MA#2 has them but its still minor.. MA#3 no trichomes yet but that's fine, shes still young.... no worries the babies are growing I still havent added any extra "nutes"!... As I am using FoxFarm Ocean Forest as well as "KIND Hot Soil" (look this up! Wow!). The soil is jammed packed with organic goodness! I cant say enough how great the plants grow in this and how simple it is.... Still watering as needed, using only RO H2O, alternating between "light" and "heavy" waterings.. I love reading your comments and tips, so please post them.. Please follow my diaries as well as me in general... Thanks, BigHickory357

Ok... wow! Another great week of growth! Plants are healthy and vibrant... the smells are wonderful... So what's new with MA#1?.. well let me tell you! She still is ahead of the other 2 in all noticable (to my uneducated ass) areas... her buds are more dense, bigger, more resinous, more fragrant. She also appears to still have an over "bigger yield" so far... She is very hearty and amazing... I've continued with the LST and light trimming. Really did minimal addition this week hoping giving her a slight break will be good for her. I'm still trying bending and hiding of the fan leaves with some success.. I added 1/2 the dose/ concentration of "Big Buds ORGANIC" 1 feeding (GD does not have the ORGANIC version listed, so I listed the normal one)just for a slight kick. Seems to have responded nicely to it. Not anything "drastic" or "phenomenal" but "nicely". My watering as still as before, a cpl light waterings followed by a heavy. So, you'll notice the pics of the JUG.. ok, so I was curious about adding CO². I've read a bit on it, and the "theory" is sound I guess, so I did my own Redneck-ification.. I used a 1 gal jug, put in 3 cups of sugar, 2tsp yeast, water, and covered the opening with a balloon that I poked a few holes in... yeast fermentation creates CO²... extremely cheap and easy to do... (as a side note, I found out fungus/ mushrooms create CO²! Looking at adding mushroom grow inside my tent... think about it... look it up! I dont know if having "companion plants" like I do in the current setup is actually effective or not, but its pretty... and it doesnt hurt anything. But it does appear that my Basil and Oregano are not fans of my grow light (tho the Pot and apparently the Lavender do), seems like it's too much for them.. Overall in my opinion a successful week of good growing...

Ok BAM... here we go.... oh beautiful Maria Juana.... OMG! So this week has been all anticipation... shes so close... no BS.. shes close... I tend to harvest a bit on the late side (so I believe).. so I'm paying super attention to her. This weeks growth is insane, throughout her grow I've added very little added extra "nutes"... I'm careful, maybe too much so in some areas, and way not careful enough in others.. but I'm trying.... Her color is beautiful, her vigor is insane... very strong and healthy..... So, while I've been watcher, shes close to being ready to harvest (FastBuds says let her go just a bit longer to mature). Shes loaded with trichomes, this I notice SOME are disappearing maybe... maybe... Shes still super loaded with the sticky icky goodness... her trichomes are mostly cloudy, plenty still clear, some amber ( but not many).... Her smell is intense! Her main COLA super thick and dense.. her surroundings buds are nice and dense.. not super big, but not popcorn either.. even the small buds are nice! From her presentation, I think.... I think I have a vacation in Mexico lined up and I'm about to catch a flight.... *side note... so, one of these 3 plants (the Mexican Airlines) or a combination of the 3 will be used to infuse some excellent 100% pure azul agave Tequila.... (decarb the cannabis @ 220°F for about 1 1/2 hr, wrap in cheese cloth.. drop into Tequila and wait...) I mean how can you NOT infuse a Mexican Sativa into a good Mexican Tequila! I'm sure here within the next week I will harvest this amazing plant..

Grow Questions

I've always heard that you shouldn't "defoilate" auto flower cannabis, especially if they're a sativa to boot. With that being said, (looking at my pics for reference) should I do more defoliation? Would doing so really increase my yield significantly? Thanks

you really dont want to defoliate in flower, usually you do defoliate right before the flower stretch, then go in with a small razor to nip off any of the very bottom flower nodes just as they reveal themselves. Folks that take advertisement-level pictures for cannabis basically starting taking the leafs off to show off the plant and the practice kinda became fashionable i guess... nothing useful about it during flower though ! 🚀

So... I went ahead and harvested her... was a hard decision to come to.. So far with my grows I think I've tended to let the plants go too far! With MA1 I've been checking the trichomes along with watching the pistils.... The pistils had basically all been brown for past week, but the trichomes were all clear! So I waited... I waited to the trichomes were cloudy and only a few amber... I was gonna wait 1 more day, but went ahead and pulled the trigger.. Shes not a big plant but her buds are nice! Nice thick dense main COLA with many nice chunky smaller buds.. All the buds look like coated in sugar, the smell is intense... Definitely the normal pot smells, but I'm also noticing a slight "cat piss" smell... very slight. Isolation I've got her hanging after I stripped off most of her leaves and I've done a very quick "wet trim", leaving most of the sugar leaves (gonna save the sugar leaves of all 3 to make Mexican Airlines infused Tequila) I have high hopes on this beauty... Once shes dried I'll add her "dry" weight. I'm thinking right around an ounce, probably less.. nit sure. Tho may not be biggest yield, this is a straight 100% Organic cannabis grow! Quality before quantity * (May 22nd, 2020) went ahead and trimmed her to (I prefer a rough trim, thise sugar leaves smoke to! Not too many tho). Total dry weight is 25.6 gr... I'll take it! Gonna sample tonight... ok.. sampled it... OMG... wow... smooth smoke through the bingo, very mild taste... wow... ok this is a SATIVA lime a MOfO... oh damn yeah, I'm on a trip.... I'm starting to laugh... I took 3-4 hits, less than 10mins ago... THIS SOME GOOD ASS WEED!
