This week starts great with great growth. I can see some marks on the cheese leaves due to ph imbalances when it was younger. All of them are getting their leaves out big bang being 3 older has more than them, its kinda funny to see that small of a difference between these plants. As LSD was just 2 weeks old and was really hungry for more root space I transplanted it in a fabric pot with coco choir same ph as it was and my girl took it like a champ and seems like it didnt stunt growth since she got taller in just 12 hours of the transplant. Cheese is next. I started LST on the Big Bang and it takes it pretty well I think we will see in the following days. So, I fcked up the lst on the big bang and I snapped it, topping it 3 weeks into vegetation. It recovered after 3 days and now it started growing strong again. It has a huge root system that carried it. It lost about 90% of its leaf mass. I also transplanted the cheese to a 7lt fabric pot and switched it with the big bangs place in the closet. Big bang now is gets its lights straight from a white 15w LED bulb in a 18-6 light schedule. Upon searching for the big bang auto I found out that even though Its an auto flower strain it needs some night time. The other two never sleep and from what I ve read they dont need it. the big bang is another story.

After one week the Cheese and the LSD got pretty fast to 3-4cm in height where as the big bang, which started developping its first node and the second one is still very short. This has to do with the pot size, the genetics or both?

I think both.. Next time you should start your autos directly in their final pots, transplant isn't good for them and you risk to lost important days of veg :)

During veg stage I used a sample of Hesi Supervit that I had, on the instructions said they need one drop per 4.5L i used 0.5ml/L but I had no problems with it. this sample ended and I bought it again 3 weeks later. Now I used 1 drop per litter as they sai

They are giving a recommended dosage that is working in most of the cases but sometimes it can be too much for a plant and some other times they are reacting well to an higher dosage like yours , this is why it is good to try new dosages like you did but if you can see a nutrient excess then cut the dosage

Hi @JNTgrows It is not a male calyx. it is female, at the end of flowering the plants tend to stretch the buds to make a final effort to collect pollen and reproduce, from these calyx females coming out of the buds the famous "fox tails" born, there is no reason to worry . good luck mate

This photo is the best I can take to see the trichomes, when should I chop the cheese, I see some start to get amber? Also could I chop the big nugs and let theinner nugs that are small to grow more?

Hi there.. remember that the type of high depends not only on the strain, but also on the state of the trichomes.. the main question you should ask yourself is "what kind of high" do you like? Should it be more of an "active" head high for during the day, or more of a "body high" which pushes you into the couch and makes you sleep well? Once you know that, you should look at the strain you're growing.. If the plant you grow is a pure indica, the standard high will lock you more into the couch by default, while a pure sativa would give you more of a head-high (the basic sativa-indica difference) when harvested at the same time, but then of course there are still a lot of hybrids in between. This is just a general rule, but it also depends on time of harvest. When it comes to trichomes you know they go from clear to milky and then to amber.. In general if the plant one is an indica-heavy plant (so more of a couch-lock), if you want a head-high, you'd be best off harvesting when a bit over half are still clear, and half are milky.. If you want a body high, then most should be milky and some amber. If 20 or 30% or more of them are amber, it'll just be definitely in the body-high area, pushing you into the couch (and as always, don't wait too long or they'll fall off the plant). In comparison if this were a sativa, then even even when the trichomes are full milky it should still give you more of a head-high, and to get more of a body-high effect you'd need to wait until there are a lot of amber trichomes. The hybrids are obviously somewhere in between.. the exodus cheese auto seems to be a fairly well balanced hybrid. So it's basically up to you, what you prefer and the type of strain you grow, but definitely keep the trichomes in check. And yes.. you can harvest the top buds earlier than the bottom ones. happy harvest!

@MadeInGermany , hi thanks for the answer! I dont have a microscope so I need to zoom in manually with a digital camera. From the picture I proviced , if you zoom it in you can see the trichomes. They seem like 10-20% amber.

@MadeInGermany, yeah I know its on my wishlist haha! thanks for the answer. I was considering harvesting her today.
MadeInGermany
MadeInGermanycommented5 years ago
@Treenoded, you need a microscope, they are very cheap :-) Because your plant doesn't look finished yet, I would even easily type 10-14 days more, but you can only determine that with a microscope 100% :-)

@ijustdontgiveaf, thanks a lot for all the information , great explanation! really appreciate it! This is what I had in my mind, since this is a hybrid and as you said pretty balanced, I could chop it since it is 90/10 cloudy/amber. I rechecked with a friends phone with amazing macro photography and indeed it is 90-10. I wanted a second opinion on this. I will probably chop her today! :D

@ijustdontgiveaf, Thanks a lot! I Harvested almost half of the cheese! She is hung upside down right now! Smells amazing, like lemon skunk or lemon cheese i really dont know how to describe it. Its the classic cheesy smell with a bit of lemon!

ijustdontgiveafcommented5 years ago
@Treenoded, sure thing! Given i didn't know the Exodus cheese auto, i went to the greenhouse site and notice it's a 30% sativa - 40% indica - 30% ruderalis strain, which is really well balanced. And I personally prefer around a 90/10% ratio in hybrids myself as well. I hope you do know that the difficult time is just coming up now: having harvested but having to wait until she's properly dried and cured. ;) Curing really does make good weed become a great weed, so no rush with that. Having seen you have just recently harvested others, i'm quite sure you're well aware of that. In either way, congrats to a(nother) successful grow! The pictures are looking great, i'm sure you'll enjoy her!

@OGgrows thanks a lot for the answer it's not a male calyx indeed but it doesnt look like a foxtail either. I probably got paranoid over it being a hermi. Looks great now and the buds have become fatter

@Jntgrows, enjoy it while it last looking forward to smoke dang weed once again harvested my previous plants to early due to quarantine and higher usage. So nice frosted lsd sounds nice for a change guess still a week or 5 to go at least for a quick taster. (have 3 others that will be ready before her so she will have time). Enjoy!

Treenodedcommented5 years ago
@Sopje, after a short drying session i tried like a gram with my friends, it had some smell and it was harsh since it wasn't ready yet but still tasted good and it got us very high! So its all about patience now! In two months the other 2 plants will be harvested and cured so I will have 3 strains which was always a dream of mine. The lsd will probably run out but hey

Looking good and healthy jntgrows! Sure gone follow to look what becomes of these babies. BTW no lst?
Treenoded
Treenodedcommented5 years ago
@Sopje, thanks bro, much appreciated! 2 reasons for not trying LST, firstly I want the first time I grow a strain to do pretty much nothing on it to see its characteristics and how they grow in the future so I can try stuff on them in the future, also I Tried on the big bang and I snapped it in half so I am a bit afraid to try LST but I will do propper lst on the baby LSD which I transplanted today in an 11lt fabric pot .
