so .... this is my first time trying to grow jack herrer in a grow tent. i decided to remove suckers that were covering other tops and also to help increase air flow under the canopy . I also trimmed the roots growing outside of the net pots to help control the height .these ladies felt bad afterwards so i decided to spray the foliage with a combination of epsom salt and superthrive :D. its worth saying that today was the first time changing the water in the previous weeks i ended up adding 12 liters of fresh water and nutrients to the tank each week.

so for the first 4 weeks I didn't add any cal mag + because the water im using is from a well that is normally hard with a PH around 8.5 I only do a complete water change once every four weeks or so. however i do check the PH and EC every other day so if i notice the EC going up higher and the plants using more water then i will probably drain half of the reservoir and add some RO water because the increase in EC has to be because of calicum in the well but for now they look fine and are getting some nice little fuzzy buttons on them.

i was a little worried about the ppm being so high but ive come to the conclusion it was due to calcium . their not showing any sign of nutrient burn and the ph and EC are holding steady. they also seem to be loving the LED

everything seems to be growing as expected. the three that started slower from seed are still a week or so behind the others . some of the pistils on the nicer plants are starting to turn orange and there is still a good number of clear tricoms . there is a liitle alge starting to grow on the roots that are exposed i will be adding a little hydrogen peroxide to the resevior and keeping an eye on that.

anyone have any positive results from using hydrogen peroxide in their resevior tank. im sure if your using organic nutes its probably not a great idea because HP breaks down organic matter into o2 but im not using organic nutes and my thought was to use it to control alge?

hey there Lynrd ! turns out algae is not a bad sign, rather it's the sign of a healthy organic system. You can always add beneficials to stay organic like Great White. None the less HO2 totally does work for exactly what you're looking for and it really wont be that bad for the organics, simply it will kill off most benefical bacteria so you end up needing to re add them anyway. Hope this helps ! 🚀

top buds on the plants are getting mature but side branches and a couple of the other plants are still behind so they will be going another week till flush they are getting frosty instead of a fruity blueberryish smell its getting more piney . i decised to pull one plant to sample the smallest one its tricombs were still cloudy and clear. damn it was energetic.

it was an ok harvest it wasnt as heavy as some other strains and therir are a few thing i could have done different to have gotten a better yeild from 6 small plants they were let pretty much alone other than removing a few shade leaves i ended up with around a 1/4 pound of really nice, kind weed yeah that a good way to decribe this strains effects really really nice😀 but the quality and taste is great it really reminds me of what we used to call panama red not overpowering very clear and energizing
