Lots of growth, but not much height. Watered 2 days ago, probably too much but will let 8t dry out

Turned up humidifier from 50% to 65% mid week. No added nutrients, letting it settle in the big pot. Moved the fan to blow more down / across. Seeing better movement. Recent pics added.

It's coming along, still a bit of leaf claw including new growth. Still no added nutrients so not much I can do but I think it will work out - no nutrient burn and I found some examples of other growers with the same issue with this strain / seed source. Just germinated a "backup" seed in case things go tits up. Lots of mistakes to be made yet. Topped at 6th node April 2nd.

Topped already, and growth is going well. It's very short at 7" and the nod spacing is very tight. Trunk is super thick, but will work to train the branch's out. My backup plant is also doing well so I may get "bolder" with this one knowing I have another on the way.

What could or should I do regarding trimming at this stage? Removing lower leaves or upper? My concern is that while healthy it is very dense, nodes are tight, and I think this might impact yield. 3ft would be my max height (6ft tent), and I will likely flip wk 7/8. Thank you!

Trim only leaves that are blocking bud sites. Don't hack away healthy leaves. More than likely the growth on bottom that's not getting light should be what's removed.

04-14 everything is looking great, 12 potential cola sites which are all withing about an inch of height. Plant is getting extra thirsty. Changed the fan schedule to try and keep it a little warmer at night.

Week 7 - 420 it suddenly went from 5c to 25c, so took her out for a field trip to the sunshine. Grow tent was getting a little too hot anyways. Around a foot tall (12 inch) and 20inch wide all around. Some signs of deficiencies after getting 2 hot on 4/18. Added a second humidifier to the tiny tent as its so dry here and I need to keep the exhaust running to keep the temp down. Feed 1 full gallon 4/19. May flip by eow as I would like it ready around end of Jun / start of July. 04/23 - LST, 12 growth sites distributed in a circle at equal height. We defoliate the center some to give the middle more light / maybe get more tops yet.

Flipped may 1st, which is about day 60 - probably have about the same time in front if me for flower time. For a very short plant (about 15 inches at flip) it is stretching pretty good - about 2 inches in the first 4 days. I still have about 15 to 20 inches of useable height in the tent so hopefully I'll just about max out.

Pretty happy with the flip, although I might have waited a week too long. It is super thirsty too, taking at least gallon every other day. I lowered the light (600w HPS) but am having trouble keeping the heat down - usual high of 29 or 30 during the day. For a first grow I think I've done alright so far.

The canopy is a warm at 30c but at the base of the plant it's around 24c. I haven't seen any issues yet (the claw is weird genetics - unchanged) any idea on yeild impact? I can lower it but it will lower the humidity to ~30%. Night temp 18c. All diary comment/suggestions welcome!

Stretched 70% from flip, hopefully slows down as not much height left before its too close to the lights. I have her tied to both sides of the tent and its taking all the square footage possible. Also, drinking lots more - gallon+ a day and the soil is drying out an inch down, and lifting (carefully she's ties off!) the pot is lighter. I lowered the nutrients because of the increased watering, only feeding every second day and lowered the ml/gal to avoid nutrient burn issues (few tips showed tiny burn last week). Have defoliate further to keep the focus on the top buds and have beeter air movement. The temperature management has become a chore (gets hot and I need to cool the garage where the tent is and open the tent). I an monitor the temp remotely but I've started slowly shifting the light schedule later to avoid the mid day heat with the lights being on. Shifting early would be better but I'm not getting up at the crack of dawn to water - I'm not a real farmer here. Finally, noticed what seems like roots coming out and down from where a trimmed the lowest leaves? I'll google and then ask a question - don't think it's a problem itself but might might be a sign of other trouble (could I be root bound in 7 gal pot?)

Start of week 3F and the stretch continues. I've taken the light off the ratchet ropes so get a few more inches of distance, I can tighten it up about another 2 inches and after that the plant will just have to cope with being closer to the light. Buds are starting to fill up and down all branches - should be a good first harvest if I keep it together.

Flowering is going well, still struggling to get the heat down but they seem to be handling it. Separately I think I have a deficiency - magnesium? I gave a flush yesterday in case it is nutrient burn... I use tap water so I didn't think I would need to suppliment.

Working through lower leaf issues and a timer malfunction (night power outage, caught in time). I'll make it to harvest for sure so that's exciting. Curious as all noobs on the yeild.

Dying leaves seemed to have slowed, I flushed twice and adjusted nutrients, checked PH of run off etc. Regardless buds are getting super fat. 12 main colas and a few smaller ones as well. Pistols are starting to curl but still white. Thick trichomes on buds and surroundings leaves.

It's hard to put scale to this girl, but there are 12 colas all about a foot long. For a 1.5 x 3 x 6 foot tent I think that's pretty good. As expected not harvest time yet, but it is progressing to plan - the nutrient issue from weeks past seem to be resolved. I still hVe lower leaves yellowing but it is more in line with what I have seen in other people grows as it approaches harvest.

Started to flush, bottom is almost all yellowed off, pistils are still a bit light, but trichomes are mostly cloudy. Think I will flush for about 3 or 4 days - maybe a week. Going to be away some this week so maybe chop before, Maybe chop after. Regardless I should have a few months of smoke once dried and cured.

Final week completed, pistil method would have had me leave her longer, but looking at the trichomes it was about time. Flushed for about a week, and temps were in good order. Overall happy with my first grow. Further thoughts in the Harvest 'week'.

Update after dry July 14th: smoke is smooth and weight is close to my estimate 224g - 1/2 lbs roughly for big dick measuring. Actually the smoke is fantastic I want to ramble on so you get it. Ran out of jars - should have got the 12 pack. Fantastic first grow! Very thankful for the help from the growdiaries community. It was constant attention but not a lot of real effort. My setup was not ideal but it was mostly free to me, left by a friend who moved. The smell is great to me, and the wet weight of 1076g is incredible to me. I know the wet trim is pretty rough, but even if I lose 80% in drying and final trim I'll have more than enough to enjoy and share. Thinking about entering newbie of the month - doesnt seem to be many photoperiod grow virgins or big single plant yields. Until next grow DrBinoc zooooooming out!
