Moved over to 4x3gallon smart pots and 1x5 gallon smart pot. Named the plants to get more personal, obviously based on a theme. Maybe someone over the age of 25 will know what it is? Watered with 1 liter per plant except for Bosley, that one got 1.5liter. I feel like I might need to add more water but skeptical to it. This is my third time trying to grow, first time with a proper setup not solo cups and a HPS light in the basement but an actual tent and LED light with decent air traffic. Any comments/suggestions always appreciated.

Pic 1 is about 6-7 inches, all the plants are showing the same 'yellowing' on the bottom leafs. Pic 2 is about 3-4 inches Pic 3 is about 8-9 Pic 4 is 12 inches now Pic 5 is 6-7 inches. See week 7 for the yellowing of the tips without the LED light. Will try and take pictures before the light turn on tonight. Added week8 day 1 pictures with no LED

No nutes for the past 2 weeks now and all of them seem to be growing slow and steady. Not sure when to switch over or what to do with the dead leaves but i'm sure someone will help out with that in the comments. The middle one is getting pretty big right about now too.

Might move 2-3 plants (the smallest ones) to another tent. Been thinking about buying a 2nd tent to be able and switch the two bigger ones to flowering since they seem so far ahead. Almost 20" tall now. Feedback is welcomed.

Switched over to flowering now, win or lose it's a learning experience. Ordered another tent as well as the same soil I used for the "big" plant. Also ordered a little "easier" crops according to their descriptions. For these they actually picked up a little bit at the end, all but one. She's dead to me.

Had a real scare with 1 plant 5 days ago. Wasn't sure but seemed to be under watered, moved it in to it's own tent to see if it was able to be recovered, so far so good. Smell is getting weaker sadly, also lost power for 24 hours so not sure how the plants looks now.

The failure of a plant seems to have recovered with a little TLC this week. Even the smallest plant that I thought for sure was a goner recovered a little, reaching about 10 inches now. Giving Fox farm nutes every 4th watering right now, need to get a soil testing kit to make sure the soil is good. The PH for waterings are about 6.5-6.7 with the fox farm. Hopefully about 5 more weeks then I should be able to harvest this. That's the magic number I put in my head unless someone else has a better number?

Last week watered with big bloom and tiger bloom once, and once with just big bloom. Both times 10ml/gallon. Next watering (today) will be straight water with a ph of 6.0. After getting the ph tester I feel like I test the water in my house about 5 times a day with strips/drops/digital meter and so far it's amazing to see the difference. The first 2 months I've watered with 7+ ph every time. Last 2 weeks is when I've actually taken control over it. Updated with mid week pictures

I’ve got to say you’ve got me a little stumped. Your plants have shown nute burn from a very early stage of growth on through now. But I dont think that’s the only thing that is causing your drooping leaves I believe that is because your low humidity. Your plants look to me like they are getting to much mag but the only nutrients that you’ve listed don’t contain any so there are some inconsistencies that aren’t making sense to me.

Was out of town this week so had my BIL water each plant with just .5L of plain water, felt the plants this morning and they were on the way to get a little dry. Will do a feeding today with nutes and hopefully it will be the last as it has been flowering for 7 weeks now. Any suggestions to how much is left is greatly appreciated.

First grow and doing a CBD was probably not the best choice as it took super long because of my inexperience but I stuck with it and got some smokable weed that worked perfectly. Only smoked about 4gs of it so far letting the rest cure for a while. For some reason the first night it tasted like seaweed and the second night just like any other medical strain. If you have grown two or three plants before I recommend trying this strain. Even with a fuck up like me it gets the job done and more

Congratz on the recovery. I use foxfarm soil, and I find it stays at a neutral level around 7. This is ok for soil as it acts as a buffer for nutrient uptake so there is a little more wiggle room. The only Problem I've forseen would be iron uptake which tapers off at the 7-7. 3 range, so I usually water at about a 6.0-6.2 area then I measure my runoff about once a week. It usually stays around 6.5-6.7 afterward.
Dirtydraggel
Dirtydraggelcommentedweek 187 years ago
@Jeff123fish, the sad part is that I never really used nutes in the beginning, I think I used it once or twice during the first 5-6 weeks at half the dosage so then when people said nutes burn I just stopped. Picked it up again following fox farm schedule in week 15/16.
Jeff123fish
Jeff123fishcommented7 years ago
@Dirtydraggel, after looking up your soils I’m going with that as your biggest problem as this stuff if nothing else is wildly inconsistent some is really hot some won’t hold water but most of all the bag says it’s meant to be used with other soils as a soil amender
Dirtydraggel
Dirtydraggelcommented7 years ago
@Jeff123fish, https://www.lowes.com/pd/EcoScraps-32-Quart-Container-Mix/999990018 is the lowes soild and https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00553BLPA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is the az soil. Neither of the plants are really "fluffy" in the dirt its rather compact
Jeff123fish
Jeff123fishcommented7 years ago
@Dirtydraggel, well if I’m seeing things right it looks like the cheap Lowe’s mix causes you a lot of problems and the better soil from Amazon has much healthier plants. Maybe the cheaper soil is compacted and restricting root growth? Or preventing your roots from getting good air flow? I would check to make sure it’s still light and fluffy

Yep, looks like you're recovering or the symptoms would have spread. That's always a bit slow going. Thankfully it's a photo and you can just veg a bit longer! You should be able to re-introduce properly dosed and pH-balanced nutes starting at weak feed and moving up if you want to be paranoid. If you want to be sure, you can water them in a tray and test the runoff to make sure the bottom of the pot's pH isn't too off. She's gonna do fine!

@Dirtydraggel,ok.

CBD_Sweden
CBD_Swedencommented7 years ago

Looks like it had a hard time during one of its rooting phases in early veg. Good salvage, tbh. How is the effect medically? Very interested in "trip reports" on different CBD strains; some are better for some symptoms than others.
Jaindoh
Jaindohcommented7 years ago
@Dirtydraggel, would guess the taste is the chlorophyll. Takes a long time to break it down, shortened by keeping the bud from drying out (iirc, the living plant breaks the chlorophyll down itself, whereas once it dies the process takes longer). Curing is harder than it sounds; some people have better first luck, I'm just now getting my results more consistent several grows in.
Dirtydraggel
Dirtydraggelcommented7 years ago
@Jaindoh, Still got most of it in curing however whatever I smoked after 3 days was very relaxing, not a couch lock but couldn't feel the back pain (2 torn discs) for a while and slept pretty good. No dry mouth, no couch from it, was smooth. The flavor was like seaweed probably cause it was a little wet but the second time had no real taste.
Jaindoh
Jaindohcommentedweek 127 years ago
second tent is always a good option if you have the space money etc however i say veg em another week max and just flip em all 😈
Jaindoh
Jaindohcommented7 years ago
@Dirtydraggel, i know the feeling, as soon as you cure it out and make it a month or two without buying and can go "okay that tent is in the black" it feels a lot better. Then you need more stuff and youre like "argh i'm months in and back in the red" then you get the next crops after that and it's just like "oh man, this is gonna be CHEAP" XD
Dirtydraggel
Dirtydraggelcommented7 years ago
@Jaindoh, Switched them yesterday all 5, yolo. Ordered a second tent since this is actually kind of fun and ordered some white widow to try next. Hopefully this will turn out somewhat nice, deff not doing it for the money since I've sunk in $1k into it now without smoking (so far)
