Auto Purple Kush - Canuk Seed bank. Hey Friends. I’m back with a diary that is going to be simple to follow and to the point on exactly what I’m doing. I don’t have all the expensive tools but enough to have a great harvest and potent buds. It will be simple and honest so you guys can understand my exact variables/conditions! I’m confident I’ll have good results but always open to criticism. Again simple and easy to mimic but always can improve. My set up - 3x3x6 Tent. Two 600watt full spectrum LED lights. They pull 300 real watts from the wall. 150W per light. This will be sufficient lighting for a 3x3x6 tent. Light burn at 21 inches on autoflowers. You would need a PAR meter and UV meter to perfect this aspect. 30 pint dehumidifier-this is on the Outside of my tent vented in & out with 6inch and 4inch ducting. Simply plugged into a humidity controller I have three 500ml humidifiers attached to walls inside the tent with metal clamps. plugged into the same humidity controller. Humidity stays consistent even at RH80%. This will keep your humidity in check in a 3x3x6 tent. Heating- one 800watt heater, attaches with metal clamp on tent pole above the plants, with oscillating fan blowing above it(distributes heat around quick and even) and one 200watt heater on the floor, I have three 6inch fans sucking hot air downwards at the base of my tent attached to the poles. (See in pics). Obviously it gets cold in the room my tent is in (0-5c degrees) or you wouldn’t need this much heat. Soil - Organic soil called kryptonite , mostly worm castings but all organic soil. 90% and 10% perlite. You just want good drainage with autoflowers, not thick and heavy. 1 N , 0.5P, 0.5k. Nutrient level on the bag. 3.5 Gallon fabric smart pots.11 inches deep 9 inches wide. I’m Torn between this myth of air pruning roots in fabric pots being beneficial and regular plastic pots... any insight would be greatly appreciated. They seed to work a1 for me so far so I haven’t switched. I don’t run any exhaust vents in my tent. Only 3 exhale365 Co2 bags, I have a third in there now but I’ve grown with just two previous. I will vent Air out and in slightly during the summer but I don’t need to with the temperatures where I live so it stays sealed 80% of the time. They work. Wish I had a Co2 meter to see what its running but I don’t. But I know this works. - if your temps get hot, unlike mine. With hot summers and when temps are hotter outside then desired tent temps an intake and outside fan won’t cut it, u you would need an air conditioner with ducting in and out of your tent so it wouldn’t take up space. Then plugged into your temperature controller. Or you would have to intake air from an air condition room that your tent air is in. Basically the air you intake has to be cooler the desired temperature. You start with controlling these elements it’s be hard pressed not to have a good harvest! (I will touch on watering technique, nutrients, training techniques, VDP and my tools that I have for this next week) Gotta keep ya interested somehow. Week 1 - Soaked seeds in small plastic cup for 18 hours at 30 degrees in darkness. Soaked final mediums with PH’d water then put seeds 1/4 inch below dirt light patted down. Kept tent temp at 30c and humidity at 80%. Sprouted in less the 48 hours. Temp first week in tent 30c Humidity 70% Lights 21 hours light and 3 dark. 30inches away roughly 400 PAR. My Par grid for my lights is in my pictures. They have received 500ml of water twice in the first 8 days. Not counting the initial soak when I plant them indirectly in the mediums. I soaked the mediums good before the leave the cup of water.

Hey dude. Definitely feel like the pitting and twisting or your leaves is a heat issue. I suggest dropping down to 25-26 and see how they feel about it. Also, I know your lamp is at 30cm, but these little ones may not be taking it well and may need to slowing back off. Another quick move would be to jump your 21/3 cycle to an 18/6. It'll give em that extra long break they seem to be wanting for ATM. Definitely a non issue, just environmental parameters, transpiration is out of wack and some stress. Couple tweaks and I feel you'll be back on track👍 Cheers and good luck no matter your course of action 👌

Auto purple kush This isolation has me starring at my plants for hours on end for no reason at all not sure about anyone else 😂 y’all stay safe and spend some extra time on your plants they will love ya for it. Week two- they seem to be growing more vigorously then my last Diary which excites me. Let’s gooooo These plants were soaking in cup of water 17 days ago, i start my day 1 when first serrated leaves appear (roughly 72 hours). I’ve kept the watering to a minimum, in 17 days they have drank about 2L of water each, in the middle of the pot (4-6inch diameter) to promote the roots to keep searching downwards. They revived no nutrients in the first two weeks trying to promote organic properties and microbe colony in the soil before I add synthetic nutrients. Ph6.3 ppm140(my well water) -my watering equipment (essentials) ph meter and root farm ph liquid test so I can double check PH. TDS meter measures water PPM and the Total amount of dissolved solids in your water. Ppms gos up when you add nutrients to the water and there’s a limit they can handle, I have water hardness 0-150ppm of unknown solids every time from my well water, it will be fine to water your plants with this amount ive used it for 5 grows now. Seedling water should never be higher then 200Ppm with soil grows. I think my soil (maybe water also) was a little bit “hot” meaning too much nutrients for them and that contributed to some weird leaf twisting the first week + temp around 30c that might if been enough to do it. Still vigorous growth just little off on those two aspects in my opinion. They look happier now with a temp around 25 and being able to handle the higher nutrients in the soil. Water thermometer- give them good temperature water not to hot or cold. I like it around 20c. Infrared thermometer gun. Measures my leaf Temperature which sits at 23-24c when room temp is set to 25c. Then I calculate using the VDP chart above in my pictures. I’m not overly picky with this though I like react more off what the plant is showing me bc every plant is different from experience. I have two light green plants not sure why or if it’s just genetics but very interesting, they are growing with the same pace as the others so we will see. Any info would be great on these. Lights roughly 400 PAR see chart in my pictures. Temperature- lowered from last week from 30c to 25c and I’ve noticed a less stressful looking plant- thanks everyone who answered my question it’s seems heat and maybe my soil were too hot. Relative Humidity 62-72% gives me a nice balance so my equipment isn’t turning on every 5 minutes. Purple kush is a very popular strain around my town and I’m pumped to finally see what it truly is!

Auto purple kush Day 21 or 24 from initial soak, whatever way you wanna spin it. Good surge of growth on these fat leafed kush plants, did some LST and gave them there first feed of nutrients. I used garden plant ties to pull the tops towards the middle of my tent. Hopefully side branches catch up to the main cola in the next couple days giving me a more even canopy. I’ll untie in a day or two. Then scrog gos over top to spread everything out. Gave my 3.5 gallon it’s first full water On day 23 with the nutrients listed above, it was about a 1/4 dose with the water PPM @235 PH6.6. They received a small feeding of 150ppm earlier in the week. Lights roughly 400 Par. Temperature 25c. RH 57%-65%. All in all seeing excellent growth.

Auto purple kush day 28-31 Check check reporting in @ the End of week 4 all systems are a go. These are days 28-31 from initial plant... like right from when I soaked them in water. Did some more LST this week tied them down once again and place a scrog over too to shape my canopy better. I only left this in place for 48 hours, days 28-29. Now I have released them which looks to be there last week of vegetation growth this week so I want to let them relax for the transition. Plants are roughly 23 inches tall Even with LST being performed the last 2 weeks. Held off on any nutrients this week as my tips on one plant have nutrient burn coming in and the rest have some green tips so Just water for the past week. About 2.5L every 2 days, there drinking quick. Lights are roughly 500 PAR Temperature 25c RH 59-70%

hi buddy 👋 nice grow 👍 personnaly i am not an adept of big defoliation with auto's....due to their specifics very short flo cycles each big leaves are potentially a tank for mobiles nutrients..... but a little lollipopping is strongly recommended to avoid that's littles pop corn's buds sucks energy to upper buds. another great solution could be the addition of 2 vertical bar with a flo spectrum to ensure a really better penetration of light by the side.....it is not a pricéy solution (even if it's a cost) but demands to find the good chinese stuff . hope this helps to your reflexion 👊 have a good grow

Auto purple kush. Day37- 40 from initial soak in water. Day 37 for these girls. Lights roughly 750 Par on tallest plant. Temp 25. Humidity 55-65%. Watering 3L every third day. Ph 6.5. PPM 350. Started with bloom nutes this week. One plant Really pushing the limits still stretching and 36” in height. I have 2 very purple plants, very very purple. hoping it’s the strain and not a deficiency, they look healthy and happy though so will see. No training this week just little by little defoliating the plants to expose all those bud sites. Had one plant not pre flower with the rest. I put him on a 13/11 light cycle up in my spare room and it seemed to work after three days he started pre flowering so I put him pack in the tent on 20 hours of light with the rest, hopefully doesn’t stress him out and he continues to flower with the rest, he will be a couple weeks behind the rest at the end though. Sorry for my pictures the ol iPhone 7 just ain’t cutting it anymore lol. Stay safe out there everyone

Day 42-45. End of week 6. One girl had a mean ol stretch on her from day 35-43 topping out at 39 inches. Smallest is 22 inches. Good bud development starting now. I have a 2 very purple plants and 3 very green phenotypes. Just some light defoliation every 2-3 days at this point. Drinking 3Liters every 2nd or 3rd day. Par value roughly 750 on tallest plant. Little close for my liking but he’s too damn tall. Temp 25. RH 52% -62% - slowly lowering it day by day. Yeehaw

End of Week 7 Day 49-53 Took it easy this week with no defoliation, lots of nutrients. Just watching them fatten up. Slowly lowering temp and humidity throughout flowering to try and produce some frosty buds. 2 of my plants leaning towards the the complete purple spectrum. Very cool.

Day 56-59 from seed. End of week 8. ( soaked in water before planting on March 7th) Great bud development over the past week. Starting to smell and really pouring on the THC. Last heavy feeding on day 58. Lowered my RH 35% (as low as it it can go, how low can ya goooo). Temp is 24c probably going to say right there until the end. Still all clear trichomes on the plants inspected with my microscope. Apologies for my pictures it’s impossible for me to take all my plants out of my tent when there this size so I won’t have full pictures of the plants until the final week I hope these do them some justice.

Day 66 from initial soak in water. Some might call it day 63 or end of week 9... whatever floats your boat. All I know is my trichomes are still mostly clear and the odd cloudy one. Last feeding was done on day 58 followed by dose of sugardaddy on day 63 followed by a plain watering on day 66. They will receive 1 more flush of plain water before harvest possibly two. Not many changes in variable other than that. Raised my lights by 2 inches and temp dropped a couple degrees to try and produce some of that goodnesss. Got a picture of my smallest plant outside of the tent. My week 10 and harvest pictures will show the plants better as a whole! Hope you enjoy!

Day 70-73 . Plain water since day 63. I opt for the plain watering In the same amount as usual, over the last 2 weeks rather then one week of heavy flushing, never had problems with taste. Trichomes are milked over like a cow gone wild. Odd amber coming through. Harvest will be on day 75 by these parameters. Going to have some DOPE harvest pictures. You guys wait oh man. Lowered temp and RH just sorta ply with them the last week see if I can stress out some more Crystal and Swell on the buds. 5 day dry cycle will happen before harvest to let the weed dry out before I harvest, seems to take a day off drying the herbs.

Harvested on day 74 with a good mix of Cloudy and Amber trichomes. I use a gradual flush method starting on day 62 just watering with normal amounts over the final stretch. This was a very inconsistent strain when they started to flower, 2 very short plants with purple and green colours , two very tall purple plants (20 inches taller) and two medium size plants that were mainly green an no purple at all. It’s all good stuff don’t get wrong. I just expected to see more similarities across the plants. They don’t seem like there all the same strain. Or Theory #2 autoflowers just have a mind if there own and can be very different genetically. My average was somewhere around 40grams which seems to be normal for myself. Would love to get it 50 everytime. Grow diaries makes it simple so many good growers on here to compare and learn from truly making my grows better from day 1.
