blasterw32 Hello gardeners!
This is my second grow ever, using an slightly improved setup. In my first attempt I was able to harvest 40 + 20 + 20 = 80 grams under not optimal conditions (limited time mostly). Now, with proper time and with a new LED panel for flowering, my goal is to reach 3x40g = 120g total.
SET UP --------------------------------
Grow tent 2 x 3 x 6" hidden on a closet

Extra LED Panel VIPARSPECTRA 450w (200w real) after 3rd week of flowering.
Air filtration VivoSun 4" exhausting outside the closet
Air circulation: 120mm 5v desk fan

blasterw32 Buds and sugar leaves started to get more and more trichomes. Some pistils are turning amber/brown, mostly in the tallest colas. I'm slightly worried about the distance between lights / flowers (~16-17"), but so far they don't present any symptoms of light burning. There's no vertical room left to bring the lights up, so I really can't do anything in that matter, just hope they have stopped growing lol.
I'm also about a bit worried about the amount of leaves. Not sure if I should do some prunning or leave as it is.
Heey gardeners!! I'm into 5th week of flowering with three healthy beauties. After the stretch they got bushier than I first expected, and now I'm worried there's too much shade covering the buds. Should I defoliate them? How much and how should I approach? Thanks and stay high
Beautiful looking flowers my man. Defoliation is great but it can also be counterproductive depending on how/when it’s done. From what I’ve seen by the 5th week of flowering unless you have bud sites down at the bottom of your plants (worth stressing the plant to beef up) than go for it👍🏽 Tough to tell but you should be safe with a small chop at the bottom, especially if you have leaves starting to fade and die off. Begin with them as they are probably hurting the circulation of your plant as is
blasterw32 Hey folks!
Thanks for the responses in my last weekend's post . I decided to give them a little trim so they could breathe better and exposed some buds to some more light
I'm finding the leaves too dark, so I started this week by giving only ph water +florilicious plus + maple syrup (don't have molasses and decided to try it out, 1 tsp/gallon).
If they look fine overall but still too dark, I'll give pure ph water in the next feeding and go back with the feeding schedule in the following time
blasterw32 Hey growers!
Skittlez started to develop some brown spots on the canopy and leaves are becoming less greener on Day 77. I suspect it is Calcium deficiency caused by a acid Ph (my Ph meter ran off batteries and I didn't calibrate it unfortunately).
In the following feed (Day 78) I made sure to give proper cal mag and adjust the PH to 6.0 (as I've always done). After 3 days, spots continued developing so I decided to fully flushed the medium and give a normal feed afterwards. (Day 82).
Brown spots on the canopy and leaves are less greener. I suspect it is Calcium deficiency caused by a acid Ph (my Ph meter was not calibrated). I have flushed it and fed it normally 5 days after the first signals. Is it really Calcium def or another thing I'm missing?
End of 7th week, I'm wondering whether it's time to harvest. There's about 20% amber trichomes in the very top, but in the second layer of buds the trichomes are still 50/50 transparent/amber. Should I harvest the most top buds already or wait one more week? (please see album pics
Depending on the ratio you are targetting , if you want to harvest with a bit of amber trichomes but not too much then harvest the top buds 1st because even after harvest the trichomes will continue to mature a bit so your final ratio will be around 30% amber.
50% clear 50% cloudy is what most of the growers are searching for so if you harvest now the cloudy ratio will be higher on the final product.
I personnaly prefer a 50%cloudy , 50% amber to sleep good
blasterw32 Whats up!
I've noticed a big development in size and smell in the past week. This week I fed with 5 ml calmag, 12ml Flora Bloom, 1 ml FloraLicious Plus, and 5 ml molasses (amounts per gallon; Ph = 6.0).
After lots of research I came to the conclusion that the common belief "flushing in the last week is essential to remove the excess of nutrients built in the plant, otherwise the weed will smoke badly and harsh etc" is not actually true. Basically because :
1) Excess of nutrients is not stored in the flowers ;
2) The huge companies growing weed do not flush
3) Nobody growing other cultivars flush their stuff, including the tobacco industry
4) Why would you make your plant starve to death and be obligated to consume itself in the moment she needs nutrients the most (to gain wait and create oils)?
5) What makes weed smoke harsh and burn black ash is improper drying and curing, only that.
Soo, I'll be feeding heavily the girls until their last moment.
Based on the trichomes, I'm planning to harvest the top layer by the end of this 8th week. They are getting amber in the very top, but probably because the strong light and its small distance. I can still see a good amount of clear trichomes in some parts in the canopy a bit less exposed to the light, so I don't want to cut them now and lose weight and thc potency
blasterw32 Hey folks!
I've decided to harvest the top bus at Day 55 of flowering (90 from planted) because some of the trichomes were turning amber, although there were a lot of clear trichomes in the more shaded areas.
I didn't cut all top buds-- instead, I chose those that were slightly taller than the rest of the canopy.
Purple haze: 17 tops
CBD Plus : 7 tops
Skittlez: 6 tops
I hung them to dry in a improvised cabinet and had planned to leave them there for +1 week while the rest gets ready for harvest, but I was having problem controlling the humitidy (~40%), so I decided to abort the plan and finish the harvest 4 days later. I didn't notice any development in size or density, but I observed a good increase in trichomes in those mid-lower buds, in addition to more milky and amber ones.
On the final harvest (day 94), I've cut:
Purple haze: 6 new = 21 tops
CBD Plus : 16 new = 23 tops
Skittlez: 15 new = 21 tops
Then, I moved everything to my tent where I can properly control humidity (50-60%). Now I gotta wait for 7-10 days before putting them to cure. I'll be back with a harvest post once they cure for 1 week at least and I can try them. See ya!
Hi ! superb flowering, what do you think of the smell and the resin of dinamed Cbd +, are they comparable to a strain containing thc? I'm curious to know what flavor can develop a pure cbd like it.😀

@StickyCali, what's up Sticky! Thanks a lot! Regarding its appearance, there's absolutely no difference between thc strains and the dinamed cbd+. The smell is strong is awesome, more in the fruity side. Resin production is very good as well, same thing as the thc strains. I can't wait until its fully dried and cured to check how it will smoke. peace!
@CRiSPrGrow, thanks man! Honestly I don't have idea of how much I can produce in this little space, so I'm not sure how good/bad this was How many grams should I expect?
Do you think the buds will get bigger in the next week? I don't wanna loose weight, even if I get more amber trichomes... So if it's going to get more weight I'd rather wait
