These are soaking in paper towel on a germ mat currently.
Growing 2 of these along side some chemD and Blackberry. Using FF coco loco soil in a 3 gal fabric pot.
Update 4/1:
After soaking in RO water for 12 hours and in a damp paper towel on a germ mat for 24 hours. One has a tail poking out. One is cracking open.
Update 4/3:
The tails havent come out any further, and a chemD seed rotted out due to lack of hydrogen peroxide because of this damn pandemic. I put these seeds in soil today to avoid any more BS.
Update 4/7:
I made a noob mistake and lost all 6 of my beans. Since then, i popped the last smoothie bean i had and it showed a tail quickly. She is now poking up from soil. I am now germing differently with styrofoam and plastic wrap to keep the RH high. So far, it is working very well.
Update 4/8:
She is still doing very well. I would estimate that she will she showing her first leaves in the next few days.
Nice ladies ππ½
When do you start to flush?
Do you wait till you see more amber trichomes?
Iβve got 4 smoothies in week 2 of veg. I am very curious!
@FXRocket,
@FXRocket,
I would say it depends on your medium and how heavy you feed them.
I dont think ive ever gone above 1000 PPM on this lady, mainly since I am using Reverse-Osmosis water that starts out at 1 PPM. I am also using coco as the medium. So realistically, i dont have a need to flush, since she is absorbing everything i give her and her runoff is close to 0 PPM.
I will most likely not flush her and just give her very low PPMs on her final week of life.
That being said, I have always flushed in the past. Id say i give them a flush once the trichomes are above 25% milky. It does depend on the size of your plant as well, since some plants store more nutrients than others. You can always see how they react to the flush and go from there.
Always feel free to hmu on here if you need any advice. Im on here like a dozen times a day lol
