I have just got to water PH measurements and figured out that the ph of water I have in my house is 7.0, while the water I bought is 8.0! At the same time local water is very hard, while the water I bought is much softer. So i am now awaiting for Vitalink PH down Easy delivery to adjust the soft one ๐Ÿ˜

Hydroponic 15L 1 Pot System with coco substrate. Hard water for planting with 7.0ph Soft water for air humidifying with 8.0ph I plan to decrease ph of soft water and use it for planting. How to do this properly? Just replace the current water with the new one or...?

Hi @Chimken .In order not to have a large PH variation for your plants, it is better to start putting the water little by little, but before that, adjust the PH of the new water. After we have added all the products we want to the water, we should let the solution rest, and then measure the pH. If the pH is above the desired value, we should add to the water a product to lower the pH, which can be solid (powdered), or liquid, usually made with nitric or phosphoric acid. It is called pH Down. If the pH is below the desired value, we should add a product to raise the pH, the so-called pH Up, usually based on potassium hydroxide. The pH Up can also be very useful in case we accidentally lower the pH value of the solution too much with the pH Down. To lower the pH of the nutrient solution you need an acid, use lemon juice. You should add a few drops of lemon, little at a time, and measure the pH of the nutrient solution until you get the desired result. You can also use vinegar. Vinegar is also an acid and will lower the PH of your nutrient solution. Another solution is cream of tartar, also called potassium bitartrate or hydrogen potassium tartrate. Potassium bitartrate crystals are not harmful to health and, if ingested, do not pose any risk. Good luck mate

I am growing Auto Black Opium(Divine Seeds). The description says SCROG and LST work good. I started bending it recently and did 1 time topping earlier. I feel I need to do some defoliation, but it will be 2nd HS technique, which contradicts the recommendations. Should I?

Hi @Chimken automatics detest stress, before you start defoliation let it recover from the stress of topping 7-10 days. start to make the defoliation slowly, a day a little, after 2/3 days do a little more so as not to delay the plant. good luck mate ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™

I did topping on week #3 and have been doing LST during the last 4 days. I feel I over-stressed the plant. Seems like it's to small for it's age. Please take a look at the photos I have attached and say: Does my plant look okay as for a middle of the 4th week of vegetation?๐Ÿ˜

Ok so 1st it ain't Hydro , it's coco growing with automatic irrigation , it's not the same , it's similar but not the same as you can't over water in hydro but it's possible in coco and there are more little differences like that. That said there is a similarity in hydro and coco : you are feeding straight from day one and the week 2 EC can be around 1.2/1.4 with healthy plant , so you need to feed and the dosage is significantly higher than in soil growing , what I can see is that you are not telling us which ec/ppm level you are running so it could be too low ans the plant is running out of nuts( not too high or the symptoms would have been differents ) The ph is wrong , correct it to 5.8 the sweet spot in coco and stick to 5.8 , measure the water runoff PH too to know how much the variation of ph between the input and the output is high and correct the input according to the output : ex 5.6 output then water with 6 ph to get back to 5.8ph quickly

I got a 100% valid information that it is better not to band my strain at all. How to stop bending properly? Just remove the ropes or some more stretched approach?

I would just leave it and do no more bending as it is obvious that strain doesnt like it at all.you can remove all the ropes at once, won't do harm.but the plant will be straight up next morning and this won't remove the stress history so just leave it like this at least those few lower buds get better light.this will probably equalize the situation

Guys, sorry for those under-HPS photos before. At least I will be picturing through the sun glasses :) I would appreciate any useful comment from experienced growers or those, who raised the same strain.
