FastBuds Girl Scout Cookies Auto Grow

DankOfIreland Currently germinating the FastBuds Girl Scout Cookies Auto seed using the damp paper towel method. This is a budget grow, given the fact that I'm a student and due to the current economic climate as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Grow medium is John Innes number 2, plant will be fed with certified organic nutrients and liquid seaweed. Soil has been further amended with used coffee grounds and organic rooting powder as part of an experiment with grow media. Grow closet is a 45cm x 45cm with a height of 1.3m. Currently finishing up a City Seed Bank Black Widow Auto grow in a 850ml as an experiment.

DankOfIreland Plant is now 3 days old from breaking the surface, and 5 days old since germination. Had a little difficulty getting her set up - the seed shell was stuck on the seedling and had separated from the internal membrane lining of the seed. To fix this, I gently dropped some water droplets on the seed shell to moisten it. I let the plant continue to push it off for one more day, before using a tweezers to remove the seed shell from the plant. I then had to use the tweezers to very delicately peel back the inner membrane, allowing the seedling to open its leaves. One cotyledon was yellow, however the other is of perfect health. The seedling is now happily growing with a good shade of green and new size every day. Hopefully this germination ordeal won't stunt growth down the line.

DankOfIreland Plant is growing nice and quickly, and is taking well to the BioTabs nutrient regime. I'll be starting LST once the plant matures slightly. Side branching sights on the first true node are already beginning to develop. These genetics are top quality 😀

DankOfIreland Happy 420 everybody! The Girl Scout Cookies is coming along really nicely and is looking nice and healthy. Because I'm growing in a small pot in a small grow space, I decided to start LST early at day 15. The plant responded really well and exploded with growth on 420! The next set of leaves growing have 7 leaflets per fan leaf - apparently this is the sign of a happy and healthy plant. Checkout my Big Bud Auto grow diary, which is about 2 weeks behind this run!

DankOfIreland Man what can I say other than this plant is absolutely loving life right now, and is putting on some seriously explosive growth. I've never grown a FastBuds strain before, so I'm not sure if all grow like this or if I just got a banging phenotype. The plant has adapted very well to early LST, along with defoliation of a fan leaf to help light penetration. Loads of new tops appearing, which are putting out even more tops. Excited to see her start to flower in the next few days, and I am excited to see what I can yield from my small grow set up in a 2.5l pot. DankOfIreland Growth has continued to be excellent with the Girl Scout Cookies. Foliage is really nice and lush green - the BioTabs nutrients seem to be doing a great job at keeping everything in check. All water used is dechlorinated tap water, as BioTabs automatically PH buffer. I'm really happy with how the LST turned out for this grow, I've now got a nice even canopy with plenty of exposed bud sites that I will now let grow up towards the light as the flower stage progresses. Cannot wait to see what the buds will be like! Happy growing!

DankOfIreland Flowering is well and truly underway with this girl now, she's growing at a phenomenal speed! Gave her the prescribed Week 5 strong dose of orgatrex and bactrex. Hopefully she'll fattened up and perfectly ripe in no time.

DankOfIreland Growth continues to be amazing, she's really starting to fatten up the budlets now into true buds. She's getting more and more thirsty too, and is now being watered 500ml twice a day. The plant is surprisingly healthy and is thriving considering its in a 2.5L pot. I've been slightly more aggressive in giving nutrients to counteract any deficiencies due to the small pot and the need to water frequently. Happy Growing!

DankOfIreland Growth is still great, she's really starting to get chunky and frosty. Hopefully she'll be done in another 3 weeks or so as I am absolutely dying to be able to try it! Happy growing

DankOfIreland We are getting closer and closer to the chop! This grow has been incredible, the plant has responded well to everything I've thrown at her. The small pot hasn't held her back too much either! She's looking seriously frosty and looks to be a potent smoke.

DankOfIreland We're on day 70! I'm really impressed with this grow, and I am delighted to see some purple colours developing as the plant fades. It really does look tasty. I've just been giving dechlorinated tap water now for the past 5 days. I'll be sticking into darkness for 48 hours shortly before I chop her down. Cannot wait to smoke her!
