Week 7 and finally starting to see some bud sites starting to develop (I don't think she's going to be ready for harvest on week 8, like advertised). She also grew several inches this week. Pictures are from Tuesday and Friday.
On a side note... My perpetual harvest concept does seem to be working, I have plants in various stages all going strong. But I feel like I'm running into some over crowding with 5-6 plants. I'm going to try staggering new plants on a 3 week interval and see if that helps me get to 3-4 plants at a time.
Hey bro, about the harvest you may do it as you prefere, it will affect the effects on the high, as it follows:
A - 40% of hairs have darken, trichomes are half clear and half cloudy : Produces a more energetic effect, and buds tend to still growing in size.
B-50-70% of hairs darken, trichomes are milk / cloudy, you get the most intense high, with most euforia - pain relief vibe.
C- 70-90% hairs have darken, trichomes are major ambar and turning, you get more CBN less THC and a more relaxing / narcotic / couch lock high.
Basically once you feel the bud has developed to full potencial is your call based on preference.
Be aware the more they go the more you have to keep an eye to potential problems in the buds.
Good luck, cheers!
@CANNASIM, Thanks, good info. I hear a lot about waiting for the trichomes to show some yellow/amber, Iβve been waiting for that this time. In the past Iβd cut at this stage. Really curious what other GD friends are doing in their grows. Thanks again π
I just went through the same thing with my BDM. I didnβt know whether to harvest or not. Last time I let them cook I got bud rot. These autoflowers are so unpredictable sometimes. Then sometimes theyβre blatantly obvious. I decided to cut my BDM and I kind of regret it. Iβd let her cook a little and remove all the leaves that could potentionally rot into the buds. But Iβm a novice grower. My BDM literally turned more than 60 percent orange pistols over night. Best of luck!
@jon_do Yes and no. Sure I wanna chop em down and smoke em. But I have plenty of weed at the moment so Iβm not desperate. I really want to know what my fellow growers would do. For now, Iβm gonna keep waiting. Thanks for your support! π
@islandgrows89, So far the Seedsman Auto Lemon has been growing very nicely. She took a little longer to switch to flower than I expected but thatβs fine with me as long as she smokes good in the end. I have a few other Seedsman strains that I will be starting soon.
Loving your tent mate πI also am struggle space at moment - all it takes is one plant to slow whole system ,my gorilla was stunted now is taking up half tent πa few weeks and will be back on track π
Nice grow dude.. 16 weeks is huge when Seedsman say only 11 weeks from seed to harvest... I'm also doing a Auto Lemon but outdoors on 12/12.. Surprised your comments in regards to smell as mine is like a bowl of lemons on the fingers when you rub the stems, so nice!!
Thanks for sharing π€
Still curing, but over 4oz after drying/curing for 10 days. πͺ
Still tastes wet when smoked. I'm going to wait for her to cure some more before posting the Harvest & Smoke report.
@Germbucket, they are nice and dense and get me high AF. But very little smell/taste. My dry/cure seems to be the weak link. But I literally had a new idea on what I hope will be better a few minutes ago. Will be trying it with my Mexican Airlines after chopping her this weekend. Fingers crossed
Recharge works!! Noticing nice results after 24 hours. Looking forward to seeing what happens after 48 hours! π
Will post pics with the next weeks update.
