Pine Quest Oh yes dear peoples. 2020 is the year of my quest for that magic, enchanting piney taste. I really hope that at least one of the strains I'll grow has that taste. I germinated the beans on 28-03-2020. Location: the Netherlands I know, super (way too) early. But I want to harvest and dry the herbs before we go on vacation. So fingers crossed 🙏 they will be ready on time..... 😁 I call the week of germinating week 0 and start counting from this day, 5th of april as week 1. Wish me luck and kind regards! Oh, as you'll see in the pics, I put them in a DIY greenhouse with a heat mat in it to keep them warm during the night. StealthyDutchGuy

12th of April Weather super nice here in the Netherlands. This seedling started at the same time with my WW from White Label. The WW grew 1cm, the OG CBD grew 1,5cm. Anyway, she seems happy. Cheers!

26th of April OG CBD is really happy! I think I can see her grow :-) Today I did the first LST. Haha, if I don't they won't fit in the greenhouse in a few weeks. Heigth is a bit difficult to measure, but the top of the plant is at 6cm. Happy growing, StealthyDutchGuy

3rd of May Weather, a bit rainy and also some sunny days this week. Night temperatures are quite low. Yesterday I decided to go out and prune my auto's. Yes, I know that it's not advised for autoflowers. But there are people that do it, so I thought I'd give it a go. I actually did not want a lot of side branches with tiny popcorn buds. I really hope that by pruning my buds will get thicker/harder. If the yield will be a bit lower, so be it. Last year the Dinafem CBD Dinamed was also the most vigurous plant in the greenhouse. This year again 👏👍. She seems really happy. Haha, I just saw a small licy insect on the picture. I removed it after I saw it on the photo. Hopefully the plants will stay bug-free this year. If not, I've got my lil bottle of Neem.... 💪 That's it for now!

Sorry for the lousy pictures.... 10th of May Oh my, the weather was awesome this week. Today the weather turned around, windy and cloudy. Forecasts say it will get better wednesday. This plant is a MONSTER! She is growing so vigurous, oh my. I am LST'ing every other day and when I get the chance to prune I prune. Hope I'm doing a good job. By now the 'canopy' seems quite flat :-) Oh, maybe I'll start feeding some BioBizz Grow this week. Very happy she's so alive. Cheers!

16th of May Weather has been o.k. this week. Little on the cold side compared to the weeks before. In the mornings about 10 degrees, afternoons 17 degrees more or less. Sunny in the afternoons. I gave 1ml/L BioBizz Grow this week. Maybe next week I'll up it to 2x a week. Last year I think I might have fed the first run of auto's a bit too much because I had very light N issues. She looks happy. I prune each other internode and the node I keep I chop 1 side. Very curious for the results. Oh, when I take off the lid of the greenhouse there's that 'I'm growing weed' smell coming towards me..... Love it 😁🙌 That's it for now. I really hope you are doing well, all the best whishes, StealthyDutchGuy

24th of May Weather was quite nice this week. She's still growing niceley. Since I'm giving the BioBizz Grow she turned a bit darker green. Lower leafs are getting yellowish because they don't get a lot of sun. I think. Haha, last year I was worried that all lower leafs of my plants turned yellow. I'm not worried now.... :-) That's about it I guess. Bye bye! StealthyDutchGuy

31st of May Weather is good. Sunny, I think the night temp is about 12 degrees Celcius. No signs of blooming I think. I really hope she will start blooming, because of my vacation. I would love to chop and dry her before I go on vacation.... Anyway, the leaves. My WW had light green leaves of the newer growth. Also yellow flares. My OG CBD didn't have this, until this week. 😱 So as with my WW, I also started giving her PH 6 water. I decrease the PH with apple vinagre. To be honest, I think with this plant I can already see improvement. This might be suggestive though 😁. That was it for this week. Take care and a big digital hug (if you want 😄), StealthyDutchGuy

7th of June Weather is quite cloudy and rainy this week unfortunately for this particular plant. Rest of the vegetation in the Netherlands is quite happy with the rain I guess. Uhm, I was aspecting pistels, but I don’t see any signal of bloom yet….. Haha, was hoping I could harvest her before I go on vacation. That’s half in Juli… Oh well, you can’t rush nature :-) Oh, I give her PH’d water around 6 because of the lighter younger leaves. Hope I’m doing the right thing! That’s it for now. Take care and peace! StealthyDutchGuy ---------- Update 9th of June OMG 😱 I was like: Let's check the Dinafem seed box, just to check if it's an auto flower....... It's not an automatic! Crap! What a mistake I made.... So the Dinafem website says they will be ready mid October. Weather is usually crappy here in the Netherlands at that time. Ah man, what a bummer. Now I have to try te keep her somewhat small, as it's on a balcony and I don't want to stink up the neighbors. On the other side, it won't be warm and there will be wind at that time. 😶

15th of June Weather is quite cloudy this week. So, as you could read in last weeks report, I made a mistake. I wanted to buy OG Kush CBD AUTOMATIC, but I bought the photo version... Not really happy with this because fall is mostly quite wet here in the Netherlands. But I'll make the best of it. So I started LST'ing the classical way. Haha, should I just continue to do so in a circular way?! Completely new to this. But I think I did a good job this year with LST. I'll keep spiralling the main stem till it's one big spirally shapy thingy. I upped the nutes to 2ml/L. I do not give her nutes every time I water the plant. Maybe I should. Kind of weird she'll be nurtured way longer than I was planning and thinking to. Also, more things can happen to her in meantime till harvest. Bad things can happen to her. OMG, it's like having another child.... No actually, by far not.... :-) But auto's are a bit more uh, comforting so to say. I'll stop rambling. Wonder if anybody is reading this 😂 So, my dear reader. Thank you for visiting my diary. Hope you feel well informed and somewhat enlightened by this diary. Take care, love your plants, love your garden, love your fellow men and all the rest that's breathing and not breathing. If I could place a pink heart with the yellow little stars around it I would put it here ---> StealthyDG ------------ Update several minutes after saving this page. Made a mistake. Everything is going wrong 😥 Hahaha. But she's totally not flowering. Cannot seem to correct it at this moment. Next week she'll be revegged 😅

21st of June Weather is this week was sunny and sometimes showers. Growing steady. Sometimes I snip off a leave to allow the newer up-shooting branches more light. Not a lot more to say than that I guess.... Oh, it still looks like I got to lower the PH for every feeding although I have read that the BBizz Grow lowers the PH a bit. The leaves get lighter when I don't lower the PH. I didn't get these problems last year. Bye bye for now! Love, StealthyDG

28th of June Last week sunny weather, last few days rain. She seems happy, growth seems to have picked up quite a bit. I am going to look for a way to dress the soil for lowering the PH. Any comments more than welcome. I transplanted her to a bigger 12L pot. Added bamboo sticks for support. When I'm on vacation in about a month they will be hooked up on my Blumat dripping system. This works very nice, but that way I cannot add any PH lowering fluids (like apple vinegar). Maybe a layer of used coffee?! That's it for now. Love, StealthyDG OMG, I just realised she grew like 12cm's this week! That's crazy! Maybe I forgot to update the correct heigth last diary, but still, that a LOT!

5th of July Weather haas been rainy, windy and bléh. She grow quite a bit, seems happy. It seems like a long way till bloom. Never had a photo plant this long. Not much to say. Hoping for a bit more sun. Cheers! StealthDG Just noticed I cannot tell the Nutrients Tab that I used 2 Bio Tabs in this 12L pot. Weird 😶

15th of July Weather is picking up, less rain, more sun. Really happy plant, also I really like the Biotabs. From what I am seeing and my little experience the plants look better, greener and healthier than with the BioBizz nutrients. Sorry BB. The plant is making heaps of leafs and is quite easy to LST. In contrast to the Grapefruit plant I'm growing. I plugged her on my Blumat drip system and really hope she will be fine the next 3 weeks because I'm going on vacation! See you in more than 3 weeks, stay tuned. Love, StealthyDG

10th of August Waaa! Oh my, back from vacation, the plants grew astronomically! 😍 Weather has been warm to hot, currently a heatwave. Put the plants in another part of the garden where it's a bit cooler and out of sight of visitors, trying to do this stealthy. Man, next year I'll buy auto's again... 😂 So I've stopped doing LST, the main stem is going up as the rest. That's it for now. Take care! Almost forgot, the plant looks a bit pale compared to the Grapefruit, so I've put in another BioTab. Think this will help, really like these tabs. StealthyDG

16th of August Weather was nice this week. Only at picture time it started to get dark and rain. Sorry for the crappy pics. Yesterday I trimmed her, quite a lot, but I'm not used to big plants like these. Today I supercropped for the first time. It went quite well, better than with the Grapefruit which kind of splined. Oh, I also gave her another Biotab this week. I thought the leaves where quite pale compared to the Grapefruit. Hope I did the right thing. They say 'don't panic, it's organic', but still, it's possible to overfeed them I gues?! That's it for now. Cheers! StealthyDG

23rd of August Flowering is there! At least, I'm almost sure 😬. Whaa, she grew from 110cm to 133cm's! 23cm's in 1 week?! That's crazy! Weather is crappy, rainy and sunny but wet. I ordered a transparant piece of tarpaulin to cover the plants while flowering. September and October mostly have quite some rain. I really hope she won't grow any taller.....

30th of August Weather is super crappy this whole week. Rain, rain, sometimes some sun and rain. Yesterday I put up an transparant tarpaulin. Hope it works for keeping mildew moldy stuff out. I'm really happy how the tarp is haning. Super tight/nice. I did it with 4 of these luggage straps. They are like big rubber bands 👍. I was expecting more smell of her. Smell is still really weak and plant'ish 😅 Thanks for stopping by! stay tuned, StealthyDG

6th of September Weather this week was rain and sun. When rain I click in the transparant tarpaulin so the flowers will be mostly dry. Yesterday I did another pruning session. Yes, way too late, but as I am still a noob, I learned from a friend. He had a autoflower and I saw on his unpruned plant the buds that weren’t developed. It gave me a better idea what would develop on this plant so I pruned away. Some branches I that I have pruned before I just cut off the tip (mini-bud). Hoping to not give a lot of stress and she can use the nutrients of the leave on that branch When she needs it. Hope that makes sense?! Buds are swelling, still looks happy I think. Sorry for the small amount of pictures. I was taking the pics just before rain started to pour. Hope you’re doing well, love and peace, StealthyDG Update! I changed the 'Smell' from Normal to 'No Smell'. It was the smell of the Grapefruit I smelled and not the OG Kush CBD. Uhm, never had a plant that really didn't have any smell at this stage. Terpenes will come.... (I hope 😁)

12th of September Hey there! Weather is picking up. More sun, less rain. last 2 days no tarpaulin needed 👍 When I thought that the blooming didn't go as rapid as in my previous grows (autoflowers) I realised that it could be a nutrient thing. I gave her 3 Biotabs in total, but the last tab was about 2 months ago. Bio-tabs told to last 4 to 6 weeks I believe. So I started giving BioBizz grow and Bloom. After 2 days the blooming rapidly increased. I realise this could all be suggistive placebo'ish, but I don't believe that. That's becasue I'm a master grower..... 😎..... 😂 Oh, I was also quite bummed and a bit worried that she didn't have any smell, accept a 'plantisch' smell. But after 4 days of BioBizz she is smelling!!! 👏👍. She kind of smells like the Dinamed CBD auto I grew last year. Fruity. But that's not what the dinafem site says about her taste/flavour. Curious 😀 I hope I didn't put her too much behind schedule, if that's possible. Anyway, I'm quite happy how things are going with this plant. Will keep on feeding her from now. Oh, she grew another 4cm's this week. Thanks for reading this, hope you're doing well. Love, StealthyDG

Super late, I just couldn't upload my diary and got an error when uploading pic's. Now via Mozilla. Seems to work. 20th of September Yo! Weather was super nice this week. Sunny and temperatures sometimes above 20 Celcius. Nice. The color of the plant is way better than before. Nice, fresh green. It was a good move to start feeding with the BioBizz. Sure there are leaves yellowing and dying, but that's also a part of the flowering phase (🙏 😁 ) Oh, the smell. Still the same as last week. I still think it smells like the dinamed. Fruity but with a overripe, slightly puky smell. That's it for now. All the best, StealthyDG

27th of September Weather had been rainy accompanied by some sunny parts. Checking my plants for budrot. Most parts of the plant seem te stay dry during the poring rain 👍. So the buds keep swelling and the smell is getting more intense. But the smell itself still isn't intense 😁. That's it for now. Love! StealthyDG

4th of October Rain and rain, sometime dry periods and sunshine. It seems like the lower buds are thickening up the main cola's not so much if anything. I am still guessing I'm in the harvest window, but I would like to see amber trich's before I'm going to harvest. Hope this will work without getting mold. These are her last weeks.... Week 27. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!
Rated
8/10

OG Kush CBD 10th of October Waa! This morning I harvested my Grapefruit. I wanted to harvest the OG Kush CBD the next morning. But I spotted grey mould. Quite some spots so I decided to make it a whole day of harvesting. Ah man, this bud washing is nice, it works, but quite some work! I think this took me like 4 hours to chop, trim the fan leaves, wash, hang to dry with the oscillating fan, hanging them in the drying closet…. But don’t get me wrong, I love to harvest :-) This last week and a half the smell went from fruity to, uhm, kushy?! I don’t know. To be honest I think I only have vaped 1 type of kush, the Hindu Kush. But it doesn’t have the smell of the Hindu Kush. The fruitiness (I think the Dinamed CBD smelled exactly the same) has gone to the background and now it’s this WAAAaaHH smell. You know? If I take a look at the color of the smell it’s steal blue, turqoise and fresh green. If that makes sense haha. But since this smell change I’m super curious how she will taste. Actually this smell change made me very happy because I thought I ended up with a Dinamed Photo. Because it was all quite a rushy experience (harvesting 2 plants) I didn’t take a lot of pictures of the harvest. I even didn’t bother to weigh the wet buds. Plant training was a breeze! I Low Stressed her all the way (because I thought I bought auto’s :-). She grew happely where I lead her. As where the Grapefruit completely just DIDN’T grow where I directed her . Since she was a seedling the leaves never turned dark green. Is this a plant genetic type of thing? I thought that all healthy plants had dark green leaves, but these were more like fresh green. Must be. She was a very healthy plant and I’m still impressed by the Dinafem genetics. I think it’s hard to judge if this plant is disease resistant of not. So that’s why I set it to neutral. In was underneath a transparant tarpaulin since flowering. But the weather the last few weeks in the Netherlands was really wet. So. She didn’t have this LOUD smell like the Grapefruit I grew this season. This is a more subtle scent that doesn’t fill up your whole garden to make neighbours suspicious. When the drying, curing and some vaping is done, I will defenately update this page! Thank you for reading my stuff. Really enjoyed growing and taking care of the plants and GD. Love and cheers, StealthyDG ------------------ 9th of November minor update 66 grams of dried but 40 grams of trim I was ecspecting more, but compared to the Grapefruit I grew next to her, she yields 25 grams more. And the OG Kush CBD was in a 12L pot, the Grapefruit in a 16L. Vape report coming up in a while! ---------------- Update 5th of April OG Kush CBD Finally, as promised, the vape/smoke-report! Oh, yes, this is nice stuff 😁. Super happy for the taste, and the effect. Taste; PINE! Mission accomplished. But in a very elegant way. It’s piney, earthy and also a small piece I can’t really define. But this flavour gives the whole pallet more balls haha. When I close my eyes and take a puff I envision this taste with the colours blue, turquoise and green. Effect; Boy, if you think this is cannabis ‘light’ you’re wrong…. For my IBS it’s a super relief. It relaxes my intestines and makes life so much nicer when in pain. It also relaxes my muscles which gives an overall nice relaxing experience. This weed is like a warm bath. In the evening I only take a small amount. This is because it also activates me, just like CBD oil. But in small amounts I can fall a sleep fine. Only negative side: Cotton mouth! First My first experience was with the scissor hash. Because this is more concentrated than flower I thought it was because of that. No way! This stuff is cotton mouth 2.0 haha. Just hydrate sufficient and you’ll be fine. For the nerds: I vape this weed in my Dynavap with the Low Temp cap. This weed is super tasty this way. The effect is very therapeutical with physical effects but no body high. When vaped with the normal cap there is more body high. And when smoked you get a super body high. Final words I defenately recommend this strain for people looking for pain and cramp release. I can also imagine this would work for anxiety issues, but thankfully I personally don’t have these, so no experience here. Thanks for reading and hope this helps! Love, StealthyDG

She was underneath a transparant tarpaulin since flowering. Love and cheers, StealthyDG

Definitely flowering👍 The first couple weeks of flowering stage you get that stretch before they start showing a lot of pistils. She may have entered that stage earlier than you think😉 Looks great!

@Fibro_Witch,Ah, really good to know! This week the flowering is super obvious. Happy both of my plants are flowering. Hey, one weird thing though. The OG Kush CBD almost doesn't give any smel 😶. Never had a plant that didn't produce smell. Curious how she will be. Cheers!

Looking great! This strain was definitely on my list for this year, but Dinafem has so many great CBD strains to choose from! Following

@Fibro_Witch,Thanks! Last year and also this run the Dinafem turns out to be the most vigorous plant. Where the WW is having a rough time, the Dinafem is growing as a happy camper. ?! If that would be possible.... Very curios for the taste and effect. Can't wait to have a taste... 😁

Great review thanks for the info I have one now inhydro at day 48 of flower and was checking your diary to get an idea of when to harvest. I think I will let mine go another 20 days to try bring out more of that smell change you had in your last week! I know good fuel tasting kush usually has the smell coming out past the breeder's harvest info, I used to do 84 days on average for '63 day/9 week' og kush crosses to get that really dank addictive taste and waves of euphoria effect 😀 Thanks for taking the time to make such a detailed diary! Good luck on your next grows 😄👊

@StealthyDutchGuy, Yes its currently in my bubba kush diary but dinafems cbd og kush deserves her own diary so I will make one soon :D Currently day 63 flower, she went from a citrus smell to having more sweet smells last week and now i get small hints of 'funky' smells (in a good way :D i don't know how to describe it better haha but basically a quality og kush hybrid fuel smell, hindu kush does not have much of this smell its a different kind of kush VERY confusing with cannabis you have the kushes from the afghan mountain region (and neighbouring countries) they are short body numbing relaxing indicas and NOT the same as the og kush family which has 'mystery genetics' but people think theres some thai influence in there (bit of a spiritual comfy effect) -> the good quality og kush hybrids usually are tall, leggy, stretch quite a bit, long internode distance, small buds, slightly finicky growers, very low harvests but they have the extra bit of quality that is hard to find in other strains. But og kush is very famous and has been copied a lot so its a bit of a mess when buying strains with og kush genetics honestly I have no idea if its going to be the real deal and more often it is not ^^. Checkout rare dankness scott's og or devils harvest waardareekn they both have lemon fuel taste (which usually means the effect is strong with euphoria and relaxation and the lemon taste adds a bit of energy when smoking it - those strains are not full of cbd though so pretty difficult to work after smoking them 😀 I used to grow nearly only og kush hybrids in the past (before I started documenting on growdiaries), tried some new stuff the past year but im going back to filling my tent at least 1/2 with fuel tasting og kush hybrids 😈 Success met je volgende kweek 👍👊

@Slurpy_Terpy,Hi Slurpy! Nice to hear that my diarie was helpfull in your situatiion! I couldn't find a OG kush CBD in your diary section. Maybe you're growing it without keeping a diary. Makes sense... 😉. But I am curious how your OG kush turnes out 😁. I really hope that you'll enjoy it as much as I do over here. Thanks for stopping by and your feedback! Cheers!

Hey, how did you do the washing? Was this for the mould? I tried a wet cure on last batch but it turned out a bit crappy
StealthyDutchGuy
StealthyDutchGuycommented4 years ago
@yinandyang,Hey! No, I threw away the moulded buds 😞. The Moulded buds also smell nasty. I kind of did it with this manual. https://www.zamnesia.com/grow-weed/230-bud-washing There are quite a lot of manuals out there for washing. Good luck! Make sure that after washing you put a oscillating fan near them. And make sure your humidity isn’t high so they can dry. Let me know how it turns out!
the end.
