Unknown lineage. Best guess would hopefully be from Kyle Kushman's original cut, which is Strawberry Fields x Haze. But based off the look of the plant, it seemed to have more Indica traits than Sativa (specifically wider fan leaves and shorter internodal distance). This was a lovely grow. Completely organic and tried my hand at SCRoG for the first time. I think it really really paid off. She responded well to LST, and despite my shortcomings, she still pulled through. Also flushing for 2 weeks and stopping nutes around week 6-7 seemed beneficial. Tempted to push nutes another week or two next round. Temps got a little too hot for my liking this summer - might forego future indoor summer grows or switch to lights on at night. Upon Harvest, I got strong smells of sweet fresh Strawberry, some diesel/fuel, and earthy goodness. Effects are top notch! Reviews from some trusted buddies: "Functional, Heady Buzz, good in small amounts" "Sweet! energizing but still calming" "Quick on-set, happy, functional high but calming"

Love this line and will continue to use for all my gardening needs!

Fantastic light. Had to mount driver outside the tent to control heat. May decide to bring back in during the colder seasons. Hard to say if I'll ever go back to Blurple, but perhaps running them in tandem would be beneficial. Buds were nice and tight w/o CO2 - not as tight as an HPS but if this light is any indication of the advancement in LED Tech, they're getting real close! For a 150W power draw, I'm happy.
Reviews. Tent
6-years running and still going strong! A couple of tears along the main zipper in the front but otherwise holding up well. Will continue to use for another few years easy.

Unknown lineage. Ideally, this would be from Kyle Kushman's original cut, which is Strawberry Fields x Haze. But based off the look of the plant, it seemed to have more Indica traits than Sativa. This was a lovely grow. Completely organic and attempted SCRoG for the first time. I think it really paid off. Also flushing for 2 weeks and stopping feed around week 6-7 seemed beneficial. Tempted to stop feed around 7-8 next round. Temps got a little too hot for my liking - might forego future indoor grows or switch to lights on at night. I think I've got the Drying/Curing down. I decided to only dry for 6 days before trimming and curing. This also may be due to the fact that I water-deprived for the last week leading up to harvest. Tried "washing" my bud for the first time due to the amount of dust and particles I saw when inspecting Trichomes. This involved a Lemon Juice, Baking Soda, & Filtered water solution, followed by a double rinse in pure filtered water. After a 2-week cure, the smoke is fantastic! Near-white ash, doesn't go out, tastes real fruity - one of these in a Grape "Port" Backwoods is killer! Upon Harvest, I got strong smells of sweet fresh Strawberry, some sort of diesel/fuel, and earthy goodness. Effects are top notch! Reviews from some trusted buddies: "Functional, Heady Buzz, good in small amounts" "Sweet! energizing but still calming" "Quick on-set, happy, functional high but calming" Thoughts for next round: Harvest one week earlier, feed one week more, more Teas, pH the damn water!, don't forget Lime!, set water schedule, fill-in canopy better, and top more! Thanks for tuning in :) 'til next time, Keep Safe and Stay Blessed! πŸ™πŸ‘½

Grow Questions

I believe I have a N toxicity issue on my hands. Leaves are a dark evergreen color, and I'm noticing some leaves are curling left or right. I've experienced the full out clawing action a while back but never like this. Is anyone able to confirm? How do they look overall?Thank U!

what breeder is your cough from?
Calveeno

@GreenHouseLab, These beans were purchased from MJ Seeds, a canadian online seed bank. Here's a link to her page: https://www.mjseedscanada.com/products-page/strawberry-cough-feminized/ πŸ‘Œ

Hey did you get them seeds from MJ seeds out of Canada?
Canna96
Canna96commented4 years ago
@Calveeno, Hey bro, yes I just updated my diary with harvest photos and videos, the biggest one was a sour diesel auto that yielded a little over 3 pounds wet. My buddy stored them in a vacuum sealed baggie in his basement. The other 2 seeds were a Nebula and Jack Herer auto, they yielded 4 pounds wet combined....not sure how much I will get dry cause this is my first grow...

@Canna96, Unreal!!! Happy to hear that man. Did you have a journal for them? Great to know that these seeds can be stored long-term. If you don't mind me asking, how did your buddy store the seeds? I've heard everything from Fridge/Freezer to vacuum sealing in a cold dark spot. Thanks in advance πŸ™

@Calveeno, wow! My buddy gave me seeds from the same company he had since 2015, and I just harvested all 3 this past week! They turned out to be BEASTS!!!

What are you feeding your plants? I don't see anything listed, or do you have a living soil type system in place?
Experimentgreen

@Calveeno, sweet. I think my favorite episodes are with jaya palmer, and then jeff lowenfels he wrote teaming with microbes/fungi/ bacteria its like a soil series of books...and i think his new book about autoflowers is out now.

@Calveeno, that sounds like a pretty good schedule. You should listen to the podcast at kisorganics.com its cannabis cultivation and science podcast and its got great organic and living soil info, they're compost tea guys.

Good job mate. Well looking girl and good yield. Have a wonderfull time with Strawberry. Are You goin to do them again? i think i will move to spliffs strawberry with lovely parents;). Take care
OrganicRepresent
OrganicRepresentcommented4 years ago
@Calveeno, as long as You happy the faults are lessons its all good. Spliffs strawberry is about same indica sativa ratio. Bigger yields, smell should be same/similar, medical propertice looks same, thc lvl about same as well. And her parents: Strawberry Cough x Skunk #1 x Jack F1.

@OrganicRepresent, thanks man! I certainly had my faults this run but overall I'm happy with the end product. Strawberry has been nothing but great to me and those willing to partake :) Will definitely be doing another run soon once I reset everything. What is Spliffs Strawberry?? Take care as well!

Hey there! Awesome training work 😊 And thanks for the Jeff Lowenfels note 😊
bobtheblob
bobtheblobcommented5 years ago
@Calveeno, well bob loblaw the way he pronounces it is pretty close to what my nickname here is 😁 Also a bit related to gardening since there's "blob" and to being 'dazed and confused' most of the time, guessing own personal identity πŸ˜… Ok that was too deep I guess About Jeff Lowenfels - I once read a book where organic stuff was mocked in a way that "plants can't eat organic!" And I tended to think that it is mostly a marketing hoax. Probably time to change my mind on that Regarding training - I'm still bad at this, all the time getting uneven branches, envy your symmetry skills ahah

Calveenocommented5 years ago
@bobtheblob, Hey! Good to see you again 😊 and thanks a lot! I really enjoy training the plant and seeing how she responds. It's always worth the extra effort. Glad you read the note and you're most welcome 😊 I look to be ordering a book soon. Hope all is well! BTW Your name reminds me of Bob Loblaw: www.youtube.com/watch lol

@@GreenGrows, I humbly Thank you brother πŸ™ Patience truly is key here. Set your expectations low lol trust me. My first few grows looked good but tasted like burnt grass - only once I got the drying/curing process down was I pleased with my Harvest :) The community here has been nothing but helpful and supportive. Don't hesitate to ask any questions - we're all in this together πŸ’ͺ

Nice nice.... How long has it been flowering? πŸ€”
Calveeno
Calveenocommented4 years ago
@Ferenc, thanks! so I messed up with the dates. I intentionally kept it in flower for 10 1/2 weeks as I wasn't looking for a racy, speedy high, but more of a calming one. I think I succeeded based on initial reviews 😎
