Greetings GrowDiaries! It's an absolute pleasure to be back :) I have one of my favorites strains to date, Strawberry Cough, going into Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil under a Phlizon 900W LED light (Similar to a 600W HPS). Very excited to try SCRoG for the first time! Nutes will be EWC, Kelp Meal, Gaia Green A/P + Guano (Mineralized Phosphate :P). D/Earth, Insect Frass, and Heisenberg Tea. Keeping it organic since I was very pleased with my previous grow (Bruce Banger!) I've included pics from germination for those interested. I soak beans in a small cup of distilled water for 12-14 hours, then dump contents onto a small plate with half a paper towel sheet. I place the other half of paper towel over plate and gently press around the seed to soak the top layer. Loosely cover with saran wrap, then onto a warming pad (meant for a Seedling Tray) in the closet (somewhere dark). Usually pops within 2-4 days, then I split open a Rapid Rooter plug and gently place inside with taproot pointing down :) Stay tuned and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! Didn't take any pics last week. This COVID Virus is starting to get out of my hand and any extra time has been gone into researching and preparation. First topping at the 5th node :) I didn't think you could burn plants with Organic Nutes; I stand corrected! My best guess is that I didn't mix the amendments well enough into the soil, and the roots hit a concentrated patch. I've flushed the soil a couple of times and am hoping for the best. New growth is looking vibrant! Feeding a weekly dose of Kelp Tea. Top feeding with EWC and a bit of DE. 'til next week! Be safe everyone. Stay tuned and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! Hope you've all been keeping safe and healthy during these trying times. Not a whole lot to post this week. New mains appear to be growing in nicely. Will wait until they're at least 4-5 inches before I start training them. I truly think I was a little heavy-handed with the soil amendments this time around. Leaves are a dark green and some have curled awkwardly, which I believe is a sign of over-feeding (too much kelp?). I'm maintaining my water schedule, with the occasional day or two delay, but have increased the amount of water in hopes that the extra run off will leach out some of the excess nutes. Here's to hoping, or unless someone reading this can tell me otherwise :) 'Til next time, Be Safe and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! Lots of pics this week so feast your eyes 😲 Significant updates - started training the new mains down and away with gentle pinching and bending. - took 4 cuttings from 1st and 2nd nodes. Aiming to pass off 2 to one of my brothers for a backyard summer grow :) - ended up slightly breaking one of the new mains :( so I created a support with a sturdy plant tie and will hold off on training until it recovers. - topped up about an inch of soil, EWC, and DE and staggered the water schedule this past week. - not sure how I envision the canopy to look before I place the screen down once I move to a bigger pot for Flower. 'Til next time, Be Safe and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! Not much to update for this week. Still waiting for the damaged Main to heal before I start training. Figured I'd include a shot of the cuttings I took from the 1st and 2nd node. In retrospect, I should've waited 'til 2nd nodes were bigger before cutting. Hope you're all keeping safe and hunkered down during these trying times. Be Vigilant and Stay Blessed 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! Lots of updates this week - the damaged Main finally healed! - I commenced super light training late last week (no ties or extreme bending; just gently roll and pinch the branches between fingers until limp). The first pic from this week's batch shows her responding well, so I decided to start tying down the following day. - finally figured out how I want the canopy to look. started to defoliate to expose the lower shoots and create some room. the plant has responded very well to the LST. - will probably be switching over to flower within the next couple of weeks. definitely moving to a bigger pot, likely 7 or 10 gal amended w/ Gaia Green Bloom. I suppose it's time to start constructing a screen! - decided to back down on the nutes since I very likely got carried away with the amendments when I was prepping the soil. she seems to be happier now :) Stay Safe and Stay Blessed 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! Blessed for the past week of solid growth and progress - the cuttings I took from nodes 1 & 2 have rooted 😁 1st node cuts are much more vigorous, which confirms that I really need to exercise patience and allow the node to grow out (3-4 inches) before snipping. - did some major defoliation and managed to take 7 more cuttings! - Cough has responded very well to the LST. Pics speak for themselves 👌 - decided to transfer to 10gal Flower Pot (FFOF amended w/ Perlite, Gaia Green Power Bloom, EWC, Insect Frass, and DE) - will be building the screen within the next couple of days! Stay Safe and Stay Blessed 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! - Built a screen from bamboo and string from Dollarama! lol in retrospect, I will probably go with Hemp string next time as it's much sturdier. Thank goodness for binder clips and zip ties :) - Re-positioned the propagation station to under my garden desk to open up more workspace above. Also have 2 curry tree cuttings, tomatoes, and catnip starting. - Excited to finally SCRoG! Should be a fun week ahead. Stay Safe and Stay Blessed 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! First off I apologize for the photos with my LED light. I don't have a spare light at the moment to get better shots; I even tried to place my green LED glasses infront of the camera. It helps a bit. So SCRoG has been keeping me busy! Almost daily I'm pulling branches under and moving them over to the next spot away from the center. The middle branch shot up waay too fast for me to catch it in time, so I'm going to let it go lol I've tried my best to lollipop but I feel that I need to go further up. Crazy heat wave this week! Had to go out and buy an AC unit for the room :) Temps hit up to 87!!! Now back down to 72. Would like to get down to 68-70. Top dressed with Gaia Green Power Bloom, a bit of Bat Guano, and weekly Compost Tea :) Also included some shots of the propagation tray with some cuttings, (2) curry trees, (6) tomatoes and (2) catnips :) I transferred the (2) biggest cuttings into Dixie cups to be handed off to a good buddy. Hope you're all keeping well during these trying times. 'TIl next week, Be Safe and Stay Blessed 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! Not much to update this week. Once again apologies for the grow light pics - I'm hoping to upgrade to a TS1000 soon (full white spectrum) - Cough is bulking up nicely. - Still lollipopping and finding small bud sites way below the canopy. Snip! - Cuttings seem to be taking hold. Tomato seedlings are doing great. 'til next week, Be Safe and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! Cough is coming along nicely, bud sites are developing daily. I managed to get a shot in just after lights out with the flash. I'm certain that I have borderline N toxicity by the deep, dark ever green color and curling leaves (leaves aren't clawing yet and I pray they don't!) I flushed mid-week and hope this doesn't become an issue. Tomato seedlings a day after applying Compost Tea. Roots galore! New light coming in next week! Mars Hydro TS1000. Stoked! 'til next week, Be Safe and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

I believe I have a N toxicity issue on my hands. Leaves are a dark evergreen color, and I'm noticing some leaves are curling left or right. I've experienced the full out clawing action a while back but never like this. Is anyone able to confirm? How do they look overall?Thank U!

Yup definitely a nitrogen toxicity but overall plants look very healthy , since your in flower I would back off of the nitrogen a little bit but there turning out very nice 👍🏾 keep them growing and good luck to you ✌️🏾

Greetings Grow Diaries! I'm finally caught up lol In light of that, I have an entire weeks' worth of shots for you to feast your eyes on :) - LOVING THIS NEW LIGHT! Mars Hydro TS1000. Cough has responded well. Zero issues w/ heat (have a small fan pointed at the driver above the light) - I actually enjoy making ACT - I continue to Lollipop every few days but new growth keeps coming back! - Starting to get frosty in the tent :) - First set of clones are ready to be transplanted outdoors - Have been reading some conflicting info regarding my feeding regiment. Decided to educate myself and will be picking up books from Jeff Lowenfels! Hope you're all able to get out and enjoy this beautiful weather. 'til next week, Be safe and stay blessed! 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! - Cough continues to bulk up. - First set of clones have been handed off to a buddy to thrive in his garden. Will try to post pics as I get them. - Noticing some spots on the leaves. Hopefully not a major issue. Symptoms lead to Cal/Mag deficiency or lockout (ran into similar issues in Hydro), under watering, and/or NOT pH adjusting my water. - Overall Cough looks healthy so I may decide to ride this one out and start flushing earlier? Be Safe and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! - Cough is looking more resinous by the day. The smell is starting to get real sweet! - Started to play around with the camera settings and dimming the grow light for pics. The latter is a nice option to have. - Included another video and several pics since I have nothing but time to dedicate to this lovely plant :) - I really need to track down my waterings and start to play with pH down again. For the next grow! - And yes, that is a Three-Lined Potato Bug (from an outdoor garden). They are resilient little pests that eat away at your precious Potato plant leaves, rendering the plant useless. - 2nd batch of clones have been handed off to a good buddy to thrive in their forever homes :) - Beautiful looking red hairs. I absolutely love this plant! Be Safe and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

Greetings Grow Diaries! Catching up from the past couple of weeks. Been super busy with life. Managing the day-to-day stuff with Covid is stressful and exhausting. So thankful to have this hobby to keep me sane! - Cough is chonking up nicely. Stopped feeding and only giving filtered water every few days. - The heat waves are ridic! Seriously debating having lights on only at night or just not growing indo' during the summer season. - Noticing some spots on the leaves. Early diagnosis suggests Cal/Mag deficiency (don't recall adding Lime to this pot) or lockout due to under/over watering and lack of pH down. Hesitant to make any adjustments this late in flower, so may decide to ride it out. - Smells oh so sweet! Like walking through a Strawberry patch :) More to come! Be Safe and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

Greetings GrowDiaries! - Bloody heat wave! Temps have peaked at 82 so I'm hoping it doesn't cause any undue stress. Debating not growing indoors during the summer seasons. Or need a better location. - Nothing but filtered de-chlorinated water from here on out (started using Vitamin C Ascorbic Acid to neutralize chlorine - Thanks Fam!) - Yes there is such a thing as Catnip Bud! - Received some beans from a good buddy (Thanks again MV!) very excited to get them started, likely early next year. - I promise to stop playing with the lights so pic quality is consistent! - Mag/Cal deficiency or lock out due to pH is more prominent on fan leaves. Mixed in a bit of Lime into top soil and pH'd water. Going forward, I'll be more stringent with my watering schedule and adding pH down! Be Stay and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

Greetings Grow Diaries! - Despite the heat, Cough is chugging along. Growth may be affected due to the Cal/Mag / pH issue. - Decided to check Trichs although it's a few weeks early. - After careful inspection, I'm seriously debating "washing" the buds at Harvest after seeing lots of dust particles. Thankful, no pests :) Be Safe and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

Greetings Grow Diaries! - Nothing but Trichome shots this week :) Enjoy! - Seeing some cloudy heads on the buds and maybe 5% amber, mostly on sugar leaves. - Almost forgot to mention, started a Mother for Cough in my veg tent! This should hold me through to the rest of the year and then some. Be Safe and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

Greetings Grow Diaries! - Was very tempted to Harvest this week! Just look at those buds :) Still seeing some clear Trich's and am trying to avoid a 'Racy-Speedy' high. Hoping my patience will pay off! - Thankfully temps were cooler this week. One less thing to worry about! Harvest time is approaching soon :))) Be Safe and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽

Unknown lineage. Ideally, this would be from Kyle Kushman's original cut, which is Strawberry Fields x Haze. But based off the look of the plant, it seemed to have more Indica traits than Sativa. This was a lovely grow. Completely organic and attempted SCRoG for the first time. I think it really paid off. Also flushing for 2 weeks and stopping feed around week 6-7 seemed beneficial. Tempted to stop feed around 7-8 next round. Temps got a little too hot for my liking - might forego future indoor grows or switch to lights on at night. I think I've got the Drying/Curing down. I decided to only dry for 6 days before trimming and curing. This also may be due to the fact that I water-deprived for the last week leading up to harvest. Tried "washing" my bud for the first time due to the amount of dust and particles I saw when inspecting Trichomes. This involved a Lemon Juice, Baking Soda, & Filtered water solution, followed by a double rinse in pure filtered water. After a 2-week cure, the smoke is fantastic! Near-white ash, doesn't go out, tastes real fruity - one of these in a Grape "Port" Backwoods is killer! Upon Harvest, I got strong smells of sweet fresh Strawberry, some sort of diesel/fuel, and earthy goodness. Effects are top notch! Reviews from some trusted buddies: "Functional, Heady Buzz, good in small amounts" "Sweet! energizing but still calming" "Quick on-set, happy, functional high but calming" Thoughts for next round: Harvest one week earlier, feed one week more, more Teas, pH the damn water!, don't forget Lime!, set water schedule, fill-in canopy better, and top more! Thanks for tuning in :) 'til next time, Keep Safe and Stay Blessed! 🙏👽
