Seed to weed, (08/04)
This is just the first week, starting with germination!
I’m trialing some different pots I have the plastic smart pot and the cloth version. Seeing if there is a big difference, this isn’t a scientific test by any means as the pot sizes are different ! But I’ll keep and eye on it to see which way I’ll go in the future.
I have some pretty rich organic soil, which is a mixture of compost (3/4) and manure (1/4)
Smart pots are 7l cloth are 5l
This week hasn’t gone quite to plan. The one seed that has popped has had little to no growth or change. As you can see in the other picture the other seed hasn’t fully developed and popped properly. A little but gutted as I won’t be able to complete the un’scientific’ experiment. Although One has survived so always a silver lining 😃 temperatures have been quite low during the day and night. I have brought inside during the nights but I think maybe I was a few weeks early with these girls. Not to worry too much I have more seeds and will be planting 2 /3 every month in schedule with the moon. (When it’s waxing)
So the other girl definitely didn’t make it! I have been checking in her regularly and no changes. I think thatM the nighttime temperatures are still a bit too cold, even indoors. Looking at the growth(or lack of) the other girls has made definitely indicates this. Ah well. They were a test anyway. Hopefully this early growth stunt won’t effect the yield too much and I will have a nice diesel aroma pot of weed in a few weeks. Not giving any nutrients yet still too early also there should be enough within the soil to keep her going for a few weeks
This girl is coming along slowly but that’s ok it’s still cold outside! Some new growth this week and starting to look good. I will begin feeding her some biobizz fish mix next week. Very slowly as there should be enough food in the medium for a substantial period of time
So this week I started to low stress train this girl. She’s becoming a nice size now and starting to really come into her own! I will give her some feed next week. Probably 0.5-1 ml of Biobizz fish mix and same for biobizz bioheaven.
This week saw the start of my LST. She coped well and has flourished. I added a small part of bioheaven and fish mix to give some extra strength and boost . This week has seen some extreme sunshine and heat👍🏻 Which has done her very well.
Some great growth once again. In the lovely summertime weather we are having here in the Uk. Some growth up top and also on the lower branches. Enough so that I can start feeding them along the metal frame of the green house to have a nice wide canopy. Looking good. I’ve kept the feed low as there is no need to go wild with it. Hopefully it will do her good. Some strange marks that I’ve never encountered before though 🤔bugs maybe? Or isit slightly too hot? Watering seems to be fine, I always try to go for less rather than more . But I did feed her 2liters today, she drank it up lovely and had slight run off.
So I have some markings on the fan leads that I’ve never come across before. See the pics ... could this be bugs? Feed? Or a heat issue? Or is it simply mother nature , and the fact that we all have imperfections somewhere along the line?
Hey mate ; i have the same in indoor plants. Figured out ; it happens when tempearatures are high with enough water at roots; those leaves tend to gulp up more to compensate ; and those leaves capillaries breaks easily when touched or even by its own weight. Thus creating a cut in leaf. Just make sure to give some shade if possible and water sparingly but enough as temperatures are high. With a good combination of both ;the buds shall be denser.
This week we saw an incredible ammoubt if growth thanks to the beautiful sun we’ve had. I had to cover her over with a tarpaulin to give some shade at the highest points of the day as she was having some heat stress issues. Had the chance to give to do really Useful LST. As you can see in the pics the canopy has opened up well. Looking forward to seeing how she goes. Also this morning I noticed there are some pistils this means we are now entering flowering stage so I will begin to add some biobizz bloom and a little extra fish mix. During the first weeks of flowering all plants usually have a growth spurt! Autoflower a may only be a week or two but photoperiods can go upto 5weeks.
This week has been a little bit slow but she has just gone into the transfer from vegetation to flowering.. some upward growth. Roughly 5cm and the side branches have piicked up also. Temp hasn’t been as hot as last few week but she seems to cope well enough. Give her a dressing of bat guano and watered that in. First time using it but I feel I need that extra bit of ‘P’ to fatten and flavour those flowers. Happy how she looks. Although it seemed to take a while to go into flowering. First time with this strain, maybe it’s that or maybe it’s just her :) although I think I prefer the longer vegetation stage.
This week has seen what I believe is the last stretch for this girl! And also some appearances of nice bud sites. The lst has worked wonders and can see an even growth all over the canopy! It’s been very wet outside and so the RH has been high most of the week, the smell is starting to erupt ! Lucky my neighbours are Cool😎 and like a smoke themselves.
This week she has started to make some lovely smells and increased budsites. I’m so happy I lst this one as I can see so many more new bud sites and so hopefully get more but smaller buds coming up all over the place. Can’t wait for the weeks to progress 🤗😊 some serious amount of sunlight and heat this week so I’ve covered them over with an old dog blanket for some shade! Check out the lux in pic! Will be doing some defoliation in the coming weeks
This week saw some bud growth and some defoliation! Things are looking healthy in the green house :)
Hopefully I didn’t go too wild with the defoliation this time. I usually do it at week 3/4 so I know there’s no more stretch. I gave the buds a little squeeze and they have a nice sweet and Sour taste ! Can’t wait for them to pack in the pounds ! 😀
I’ve been watering every 5/6 days with about 1.5 litres and feed. Seems to be going fine at the moment. Next feed might just be water
This week has seen some trichome production and some weight being added to the buds 👌🏻 The buds now have a purple hue to them , most probably due to the change in outside temperatures. Especially during the night where it gets as low as 7celcius. Also it’s been horribly wet/humid this week so doesn’t help. She’s doing well and took to last weeks trimming fine. I decided I would water with added coconut juice to give them a little flush. Smell is delicious!! Sweet and sour notes from all angles, yumm! 😋 I don’t think she has long to go before she is ready. I may give some bloom on the next feed But then it will be flush time for her
This week the weather has been abit wet, scaring me as it’s prime weather for the dreaded mold. Hopefully the lst I done has spread the bud sizes enough so that they won’t be too dense to worry about that! Heavy final feed this week! I think I will flush from here out. First week with coconut water second without. Beautiful purple buds all around except for a few at the bottom. I looked through the magnifying glass and trichs are looking good👍🏻
The girl was chopped about two weeks ago after a nice flushing! I wet trimmed and hung to dry in my shed as there was good weather and enough air flow. She is going to be jarred up for at least a month before taste testing. I also have all the trim ready to make some bubble hash :) very easy to grow and a nice harvest. Could be better and next year I think I will invest in a bigger and better green house so I can control humidity a little better
