STORY SO FAR:
She's getting so fat! π Super sticky, super dense, super smelly! I couldn't more happy with this grow! @bombseeds has killer genetics and I'm excited to finish this one to start the next!
Weather conditions haven't been too bad. Low 70's all week in the tent and peaked at 80 on Friday. Gnats are still under control thanks to Captain Jacks and sticky traps πͺ
Feeding regiment is still the same as before. π

Thank you guys for stopping by this week! -One Loveπ
@DeathCrusher92, you're welcome! The problem with gnats is they lay eggs, some people like to put a layer of sand on top on the soil to help kill them, some do other things...it'd be wise to check some of those solutions ;)
Good job killing off the gnats. Make sure to continue long enough that the eggs in the soil die without reproducing as well.
Good vigorous growth since last week as well! Branch development is always good to see!
@Jaindoh, Thank you !π I'm definitely gonna stick to the twice a week watering regiment. However I will still look for more solutions to kill em off completelyπͺ
(Cont'd)... fine grade of white gravel that contains a non-toxic, eco-friendly pesticide which leaches out into the medium to kill gnats/larvae and acts as a barrier. It's best used as a preventative measure rather than a corrective action, but check it out either way. Good luck with ripening and harvest! πKeep on growing!π±
@DeathCrusher92, If you go to their website you can fill out a form for a free sample that includes the majority of their line in quart size bottles. All you have to pay is the shipping. It's great because you don't have to pay much for the sample and it will get you through at least two grows. Very scientific feeding schedule that requires a slurry test regularly and subsequent pH testing and ppm testing. This line is known in forums for creating the best tasting product!
Week 7 is looking killer. Glad you are ridding yourself of the gnats...I appreciate the thoroughness of your diary. Nice work. Continued best wishes on the grow!
Unfortunate with the gnats does your local hydro store not supply a spray u can use then let your plants media dry this will prevent egg laying and hatching they can't survive in dry conditions and remove the lower growth also better to get them now at least your not in flower hope u get them all plant looks nice and healthy not effecting her too much happy growing bro
@biggreens420, Many growers here have been saying the same thing. I'll be bringing it down to 2 feedings for this week, and cross my fingers hoping it'll kill a few eggs.
@DeathCrusher92,yeah you will be able to find something drying the media helps a lot with gnats try watering little as possible and keeping the media dry as possible sounds mad but definitely works
Just noticed you are also fighting gnats π₯I had major infestation a month back - my gorrilla was hit real bad mainly the roots getting attacked by larvae - I done a steep in hydrogen peroxide and neem oil for 20 mins then repotted and treated whole room with diotomaceous earth - it takes a few weeks to get ontop of them cause of life cycle - that as well as good practice good airflow and slow watering should get you stop these we pests .πhappy growing mate
@DeathCrusher92,mate not a problem i recently bought predatory mites from Amazon in slow release pouch to attack them going forward a easier than having to treat every now and again and they right of a range of little fuckers as well. I also going to introduce ladybugs when come season . Hope you iradicate those wee bastards once and for all . π
Doing well! Liked and followed!
BTW, for soil I always liked the "Water thoroughly and sparingly" motto FWIW, knuckle deep etc -- but I too have battled the gnats. It's a rite of passage, practically.
@DeathCrusher92, its probably less of an inside vs outside issue and more about the top inch of soil being too moist too long/often. if youve got gnats that means their eggs are in the top inch of your medium. I'm not a bug expert or a grandmaster grower, but this is the best understanding I have of them.

@Jaindoh, I feed my girls outside and let the water run off on the grass. Once the bottom stops dripping they go back inside.
Is taking them outside for those 10-15 minutes attracting the flies? or possibly taking them inside without knowing?
@DeathCrusher92, i say let em go dry enough to droop if you still have them -- while youre still in veg and letting them have underwater stress is less of a big deal. so long as the top inch where they lay eggs gets dry and stays dry. At the least it will kill most of the eggs.
if you have a way to sip it water from the bottom like setting it in a saucer or something -- dont leave it too long the water will get funky, not sure havent tried it but would work afaik
the gnats dont like look for cannabis roots to eat them but they do when they get in the way and i've had them damage more than one plant's roots.
It's really not liking the heat so make sure you've made plans for when it gets bad again. It will make your buds really fluffy and cost you a lot of yield, so will high humidity.
You can probably remove a lot of the severely damaged leaves, quit pumping water through them for no return.
56 is also too cold, once you're dense flowers your mold risk is through the roof. If you can't fix this, which is real important, make sure they have plenty of airflow -- even if you have to rig something up.
Other than that, they're still growing quite well. There are some potential pitfalls here. I've had several crops severely reduced in yield from heat waves, until I upgraded my a/c unit.
@DeathCrusher92, Of course, man! Just trying to shore up my own skillset. I feel you on the equipment, I wasn't prepared for the heat myself last year.
@Jaindoh, Thank you for all the info! π
And yeah I can already see the difference in buds with this heat.. she does seem to be a bit fluffy. With my fan it's getting be around 79-81 degrees. At night I have no control of the cold unfortunately.. so when it drops to the 50s that's what I'm stuck with π’ After I harvest this plant (if she doesn't die before that happens..) I'll have to take a break from growing until I buy better equipment. Dealing with this heat/cold situation is a headache.
Still, I truly appreciate the help you've given so far π
@biggreens420, thank you! and yeah there's a lot less gnats than before, but them sticky traps are working miracles. π She's now under 12/12 so i'm excited for the next couple weeks
@DeathCrusher92,yeah I follow some of his grows I think ...and I'v only heard good stuff about gorilla bomb and I love gorilla glue so it's a must try for me one day lol
@biggreens420, This one was recommended by a friend of mine who also grows. here on GD he goes by @TricomePhoto and he seemed pretty excited about this one.
