Just got this plant on December 28th. All in all, I think I’m doing okay. Dealing with some yellow tips on some leaves, experimenting with water amounts, water ph, and the amount of light/ type of lamp I'm using. Until last night I was using a CFL, thinking that it was good enough for the small plant I had. Received some advice and decided to switch to my full LED light last night, hoping that will deliver good results over the coming days.
I fucked up a few days ago with my Ph-ing of the water. I've been trying to fix that mistake by giving the plant clean water the last couple of days, then some fertilizer today in hopes of delivering nutrients.
Thinking I'll finally chill out for the rest of the week and just let the plant do its thing.
Sorry it’s been awhile! I had a week or so of detox for the plant, it had a bit of a nitrogen toxicity issue. I also was having heat issues in the first couple weeks. I bought a larger tent 2 week’s back and bought a carbon filter last weekend. Finally feel like I’m figuring things out.
Starting week 5 and feeling good. Still figuring out nutrient amounts, as I think the plant has a slight bit of nitrogen toxicity a couple of days after giving it nutrients.
I’ve been LST and super cropping the plant. It responds well and has been growing outward and relatively flat.
Just flipped to flower to start off our 8-week journey. Very excited for my first grow!! The plant is still doing well, responding just fine to this week's nutrients, On the last day of the week, I added a new 600watt LED light, in hopes that it will help me boost yield.
Second week of flower went well. I've recently scored some Recharge and I'm excited to try it out. The plant seems to be a healthy color and has responded well to my new 600w light.
I still seem to be having issues with too much nitrogen, at least the tips of the leaves droop a bit for the day or so after feeding. For week 3 of flower I'm going to experiment a bit with more recharge and less nutrients.
This week was a bit of a balancing act. On day 14, aka the first day of this week, I did a little bit of pruning at the base of the plant and I've given the plant a double-dose of Recharge. My plant has had high nitrogen throughout the week but seems to have finally come around at the end of week 3. From now on, I'm going to be conservative with how much nitrogen I give to the plant. Probably going to scale back slightly with my Advanced Nutrients regime that I've been keeping up in previous weeks.
All in all, I'm still pretty happy. I'm learning a lot about nutrient balance and the importance of monitoring your inputs :)
This week was good. I bought a new lense for my phone and this week was our first full week of frost!
No real ups and downs with the grow. I pruned her down at the beginning and end of the week. I started adding Cal-Mag mid-week and this week I decided to not give her pH Perfect Grow, in hopes it could help me bring down the Nitrogen levels. Still dialing in my nutrient dosage as I seem to be consistently having a tad too much nitrogen.
The flowers are starting to get super sticky and they're smelling good. Excited that we're now in the last 4 weeks of flower!
Toward the end of this grow I started having issues with over watering but I thought I actually had nitrogen issues. This made me scale back on all my nutes except for recharge and calmag.
Final week of flush! Only gave the plant some mammoth P and Recharge at the beginning of the week to help get it across the finish line alongside the Sledgehammer Flush.
This was a great strain for my first grow! The plant was forgiving of my several mistakes throughout the grow and just kept bouncing back. I had self-created problems with over watering, not enough nutrients toward the last few weeks (I started flushing and scaling back nitrogen too early, thinking I had a nitrogen issue).
I'm waiting to review the smoke and high until after curing. I tested the THC and it's coming in at 17.5%-18%.
