Had a lot of humidity issues this week. Dehumidifier has helped a little. Took a fair few leaves off this week to help humidity. Finding it difficult to give her 12/12 with three autoflowers in tent , thanks to a dark cupboard I’ve managed but makes my life more difficult. Had a bit of an issue with excess nutrients due to the introduction of pk 13/14 even though I introduced slowly following manufacturers recommendation. Next time I will introduce this even slower. For the last week all I’ve been giving her is Water. She’s doing ok 👍🏽 happy growing everyone

Just after the lights switched off is the best moment, but only in veg as it raise the humidity so it can create a rotten bud issue in flowering. You can also foliar spray some nutrients like N or cal mag

Can’t seem to get humidity up , tried putting a bowl of water into the tent, tried adding steam , lowering the fans seem to help a little

Hi @U2malone put more small tuperware water containers. you can spray the walls of the grow with water whenever you can, and you can place some soaked towels spread over the grow. the humidity of your grow will certainly rise. good luck mate 👍

Seeing as I see nothing to make me think male or female yet , apart from more leaves after leaves, should I presume this plant isn’t an auto flower as were at week 5? I know the bag the seed was found in was a good smoke lol , will the seed be a female or could it go either way?

Hi @U2malone there are certain automatic strains that only start to bloom at 6/7 weeks. wait a little longer, if it doesn't start to bloom you will have to change the light hours to 12/12. Some automatic phenotypes on the market have genetic flaws and are not automatic plants, but normal female plants. see in the nodes of the plant if it has female calyx or pollen bags. the structure seems to me to be a female plant, if it’s automatic I don’t know. good luck mate 👍

Can anyone tell from close up pic if this plant is male or female ? ,I’m looking at the close up pic of the stem and think I see female but might be wishful thinking

After 9 weeks no sign of Male or female , 12 hour light cycle for the last 5 days , is there anything else I can do apart from keep going with 12hr cycle to see flower or Male sacs , thinking to put out in the garden, worried it may effect my New York auto which is doing well

She has started to flower, should I prune the leaves ? She is so dense, worried flowers will not get the space or light they need . Would Really love your feedback. some tip curling and bottom leaves are yellowing but we did have a heat wave and I’ve done a recent pot change .

You have a nice healthy plant there! Flowers will form regardless of being in a dense canopy (my Blue Dream'Matic plant was dense and yielded 200g under a 100w QB). Even if the lower leaves don't get a lot of light, they can be a stored energy source later in the grow. However, if you are getting high humidity or are worries about bud rot, then I would take away a little. For humidity issues, start at the bottom where leaves get the least light and remove those to reduce the overall transpiration of the plant. If airflow around the buds get so low that the buds are damp/at risk of mold, take away just enough to allow a healthy airflow in the middle of the canopy. Early removal of flowering sites at the bottom of the plant is a good idea, just to focus growth and energy to the bigger more desirable buds. Happy growing! 👍🌱

Top leaves turned brown overnight, That day I did come home to a disturbing temp off 31oC . It’s the black Mini leaves in buds that are worrying me more. lights came on accidentally for two hours so gave her 16hrs dark and back to 12/12 This may have contributed.

Some strains turn black or brown at the end of flowering, black means usually potent shit... Those pigments may disappear during drying though. I would not worry, and happy first harvest to you!

Debating whether I should harvest or keep going, love to hear some feedback from you guys please. I’d like to leave a few little buds on her and reveg her after to keep her going so I can get clones. I have no idea of the strain as she was a seed from a bag of weed .

In my experience revegging, harvesting a little bit early is good because the plant won't be as depleted of nutrients and "old". But as gmslave said, in terms of harvesting peak she is still needing a week or two as there aren't many amber on the buds. It's always better in my opinion to harvest one week later than one week early, I would wait, they will only get better! Amazing work and happy smokes!

@DrJynx86 @GMSgrows thank you guys for your response. I’m going to Listen to you both and hang on for a while. Just a little worried, don’t want to kill her from starvation. Do I need to flush if I give her a little bio bizz bloom and top max, they are organic ? Or is there something else I can feed her that won’t adversely effect the buds ?
GMSgrows
GMSgrows
@U2malone, when your organic, flushing isnt às much of an issue but I would still give them water only. If your only going for a little longer, they will suck the life out of all the leaves for any final nutrition they may need., and use up any remaining nutes already in the soil.

@GMSgrows if I take everything out of the plant I’m worried I will not be able to reveg her . I don’t know what strain she is but would love to reveg and get some clones off her. Obviously don’t want to do any damage to buds, I guess I want to have my cake and eat it lol. I should have taken some clones before hand but at the time I was thinking to just keep to autoflower

Nice looking girls. Have you ever figured out your brown spots in the leaves. Simply dry spots in the root zone cuz those fabric planters pour out the sides before getting everything wet down to the bottom of the planter. Grew same strain for a few years and when I bought those planters I ran into the same spots and I knew it had something to do with them cuz everything else was the same. Had those babies dialed right in. Took me a while to figure it out. More water, nute to get everything wet.,spots went away and next grow so did my planters. Nutes to much money to be pouring out the sides of the planter. Cheers on a great grow.

@GMSgrows,I have to agree with you about the pots mate. You literally have to keep turning and twisting the pot just to stop too much water coming out the sides. The top leaves on my plant at the moment that look like a right state though happened overnight, thinking back now I did come home to a tent that was 31oC so could definitely be heat stress related. I see you’ve got a few beauties yourself mate, looking very nice 👍🏽 Thank you for your help buddy and thank you for looking at my diary , happy growing :)

Those plants look good to me. You have a very similar grow rate going to the plants I have going. I'm not using too many nutrients just keeping it simple. Cant wait to see how it turns out.
