Power Plant feminized

Kitties_and_Colas We're taking these girls outside when it warms..we start plants that are going outside under 17 hrs then reduce to 16hrs for a few weeks and they recieve about 15hrs natural sunlight nearing the solstice..a drop from 18hrs to 15hrs usually causes them some confusion and in some cases pre-flower and reveg..this seems to work out ok for us :) .. seeds took an abnormal amount of time to sprout, maybe 5-6 days after first sign of taproot..1 seedling won't shed the seed film stuff (name?) so im really only counting on one to make it..we'll see..

Kitties_and_Colas One plant is coming along at a normal rate however the seedling that was fighting to shed It's casing came in with deformed cotyledons, im sure this explains the discrepancy in sizes. I may start mild nutrients immediately for that seedling only..fingers crossed..

Kitties_and_Colas One plant is normal/healthy the other is still struggling and very small..idk at this point if it will snap out of it :/ ..i topped the healthy plant a few days ago, it's recovered with new growth..i fear the other will die if I look at it wrong so it hasn't been touched..if it doesn't start growing soon I may scrap it and use the container and space for something viable

Kitties_and_Colas Still the same situation..one plant is progressing normally while one is very underdeveloped ...they have plenty of time to veg while the tent is occupied and she might straighten out...

Kitties_and_Colas It's been a pretty uninteresting week, the runt of the 2 plants is slowly but surely coming around....patience may have prevailed this time :)

Kitties_and_Colas The runt of the 2 girls seems to finally be coming along, some strange node spacing but at least she's growing...she's certainly not clone material but should still yield well with a little longer than my usual veg..

Kitties_and_Colas More LST this week and the "runt" has almost caught up to her sister, I'm very happy I waited it out, she's looking healthy

Kitties_and_Colas Both are looking very healthy, I grabbed a few clones last week...i'm currently waiting in some FFOF and will up-pot these into 5 (or 7) gallon fabric containers by Friday I assume...

Kitties_and_Colas Both girls were up-potted into their final pots, one in a 5gal fabric pot and one in a 6.5gal plastic container. I planted them in fresh FFOF with a few handfuls of perlite and stopped feeding (water and 3ml/gal cal-mag only), both girls seem happy and look healthy albeit small for their age...i did a heavy defoliation on the bigger of the 2 plants and will do the same to the "runt" next week... Edit: 5 days after transplant and brown spots have appeared, I believe it to be calcium lockout, possibly a PH drop after switching to a hot grow media..i removed effected leaves, applied a top dressing of dolomite lime (tablespoon each) and watered 1 gallon PH'd to 7.5..will update

Kitties_and_Colas The dolomite lime top dressing seems to have helped my PH and calcium lockout issue, no new brown spots...i moved both plants into the tent this week from the veg room, they're now under a Philips 315watt (3100k) CMH..i'll add a second Phillips bulb come flower.. I won't be feeding for the next few weeks, I suspect the roots are just now getting out of the Promix and into the good stuff :)

Kitties_and_Colas They did a fair amount of growing this week. 7/8/20- first shot of bloom juice in prep for flower 7/11/20- heavy defoliation and flip Edit: 1 plant started showing signs of deficiencies, followed by the other, PH WAY too high, i never check run-off and assumed i should.. i was getting 6.5 and 7's but my junk meters tend to read low so i flushed them both with water (very light nutes) with a PH of 4-4.5 and been watering them every other day at that PH..not sure what else to do at this point

Kitties_and_Colas I believe I may have added too much lime in the beginig and in doing so made my media far too alkaline, what I thought was viral most likely is an iron def...ive been feeding/watering with a PH of 4.5-5 in hopes of correcting this..this discovery was made 2-3 days into flower, which I imagine is the worst possible time :( 7/17- My suspicions were confirmed, too much lime/ my media was too alkaline and i must have been this way for a while because one was exhibiting signs of iron def..to correct (and this probably isn't wise) Iv'e been watering them much more than i'm comfortable with (with very mild nutrients/ cal-mag) PH'd to 4..I figure it's far too late to treat it with sulfur and i didn't really know what to do but after a week of this all the color has finally returned, one is showing mild signs of nitrogen toxicity but at least i know my media is prob in the mid 7's now, i'm going to PH subsequent waterings to 5.5 and monitor 7/19 - Holy leaf growth on the runt (left)!!! I had stripped down ("shwazzed") this plant less than a week ago and she looks as if she was never touched, I'll probably do another heavy defoliation in 2 weeks...

Kitties_and_Colas The "runt" is looking beautiful ant the 2nd plant now looks way over fed..PH has been a roller coaster... i watered until 20ish% runoff (with PH 4.5 tap water) a few times (not sure what else to do) we're going to skip feeding and continue to water this way (with trace nutrients) until she lightens up some.... .hopefully she looks a little better in a few days. (7/21..13th day of flower) 7/23... Plant on the right is still looking WAY overfed....she's been getting water only for a little over a week :/ 7/26 Plant on the right is starting to look much better, lots of new leaf growth, I may skip the 2nd round of shwazzing on that one and just let it do it's thing until harvest without anymore needless stress..

Kitties_and_Colas Same boat as last week...one plant is coming along nice, i had no reservations about a 2nd defoliation ...the other plant STILL appears to be over fed, i'm keeping with my normal regiment for the healthy plant and water only for the other until it lightens up some...

Kitties_and_Colas Been an ok week...the plant on the right is still struggling, the clones I took off her last month have grown some and are now exhibiting the same leaf mutation and strange yellow patterns. These clones are in a completely different growing media and on a different regiment and I think they're going to be the same as their mother..idk if this is viral or simply genetic but It's been a battle...plant on the left is beautiful as ever, I'm thankful, without her we'd probably run out of bud before the next harvest in 4 weeks..

Kitties_and_Colas My suspicions of some kind of infection with the plant on the right was confirmed this week and I learned a new word "fasciation"...it's all over the internet but i've never heard of this before now...the plant continues to look worse and worse no matter what i do, a few of the older clones are starting to do the same thing so i threw them all out...The plant on the left looks on track with maybe 2 1/2 weeks to go..

Kitties_and_Colas Took a week off from from documenting the grow...the diseased plant has been cut down, her trics said she was ready but who knows, strangest grow on record..she was in real rough shape but gave us roughly 3 oz's (eyeballed) all her clones are starting to exhibit the same exact issues... we're turning all her bud into edibles and gave away the clones (we let them know that the plants will probably develop just as poorly but they accepted the risks and have the space) her sister is looking good and probably a week or 2 out from harvest...she's been receiving PH water only for roughly 2 weeks now....

Kitties_and_Colas Went to check her under the glass for the first time and she was ready before I was lol...hopefully she smokes as good as she smells
