I’m extremely excited to get my hands on some new genetics!
I’m going to be completely honest here- it’s my first grow with photoperiods. But I figure if I can handle autos, indoors and out- this might not be as difficult as I first thought.
All 3 seeds popped.
Here’s a few pictures of them growing throughout the week! Excited to see growth pick up as they add on some more leaves.
One of the plants has a dark red/purple stem :)
Began introducing bio grow this week. I Mixed up a small amount- They seemed to like it. Plants all seem happy and healthy. Will upgrade pot size soon. Just a little cramped in my tent at the moment. I’ve got 4 autos close to harvest. 2 of these will live inside- 1 will go outside ☀️
Feel like they’ve grow leaps and bounds this week. I’m going to top them in a few days. Everything is looking great- color, leaves- excited to get them in some bigger bags ( probably next week some time ).
Each of these ladies got topped this week. Really hoping to keep the height under control as my tent is only 5 feet tall. 1&2 have a very similar structure, and 3 is a bit more compact and has a bit of a lean. Plants are responding well to nutrients- and will get a pot upgrade as soon as I harvest my few autos. Growth seems explosive at this point. Can’t wait to see what the next week brings!!
Two of the three got upgraded to new grow bags today. Waiting on some more soil to do the third- which will go outdoors just for fun and comparison. Everyone looking good and happy
What a week. They are loving the upgrade to their forever homes.
Plant 1- 10 inches tall- has been FIMmed, began LST
Plant 2- 14 inches tall- has been topped, began LST
Plant 3- 5 inches tall- has been FIMmed, no other techniques applied yet
*topping and FIMming done at beginning of week 5
Plants 1&2 got the flip almost a week ago today. Plant 3 made the move outside.
Plant 2 has some leaves fading. Help back on any additives on the last watering. Just trying to get her color sorted. Could I be under feeding her? Unsure. But I had a green crack auto that showed the same fade, but cleared up a few weeks before harvest.
Excited to see what each week looks like, since this is my first ever photoperiod grow.
Still dealing with yellowing leaves. Bud sites looking good.
I think I’m going to raise the lights a bit, and re-angle my fan.
Outside girl looking good in the garden. Haven’t noticed any additional bug damage.
8/19. Did a inspection during watering and located a bunch of pollen sacs on plant one.
Attempting to finish with at least one plant in this competition. Swapped plant one with my outside girl. Glad to know it wasn’t something I did, as I’m not the first too loose a plant
After I found a hermie plant earlier in the week I switched the hermie to outside, and brought in the outdoor girl- couldn’t risk leaving her outside. She’s been in the tent for 4 nights now.
As far as the hermie. It’s outside in my vegetable garden. She had been in flower for 4.5 weeks before I noticed a dozen pollen sacs. Not sure if she’ll re-veg, or keep flowering since the lighting is more like 13.5/10.5. I removed the sacs from the nodes with tweezers, and didn’t notice anything in the actual bud structure. Let’s see what happens.
Still having major issues with plant 2 yellowing. I moved the lights up a bit and added another fan, plus some bought some riser drip trays.
Her lad two feedings were plain water at 6.4 I’m hoping the changes keep her going for a few more weeks.
Another week. Things chugging along. Haven’t remedied the yellowing in plant one. Hopeful she’ll make it another two weeks. Hermies surprisingly doing well out in the garden. I check for pollen sacs a few times a week, and remove them. Still not seeing anything in the buds 🤷♀️
Another week in the books. Hermies chugging along outside, I’m still picking a few sacs off here and there, so I’m interested to see how many seeds I’ll pull once shes down. She and the yellow inside girl gave about two weeks left. About 6 or so weeks left in what used to be outside girl.
Another week or two left of fattening up, and she’ll be coming down. Hopefully in time for the end of the GHSC competition. I installed new/stronger lights today- so I’m keeping an eye on her to see if she bulks up
2 of 3 plants down 9/20. The third and final plant down 10/20.
To slow the drying process buds were trimmed wet, but remain on the stem. I did not take a wet weight because of that.
Plant 1- jarred up at 42.5g
Plant 2 (hermie)- jarred up at 44.8
Plant 3- jarred up at 40.4
