So with the pandemic happening and everything I thought this would be a good time to pop some seeds and get both these tents full with some fire! Started them from seed in the soil.
Soil: #4 by Oregon's Only
Seeds:
White Widow (Reg) by Seedsman
Sweet Peach (Fem) by Lineage Genetics
Franco's Lemon Cheese (Fem) by Green House Seed Co.
Everyone is looking at a way to get out of their solo cups this week. So I was able to get a couple into their forever home, but I'm still waiting on the other tent to finish up. Hoping I can keep these girls healthy enough to make it to some bigger pots. 3G Pots filled with Oregon's Only #4, 1.5 tsp BioAg Cytoplus, 2 T Worm Castings, 6 T Oregon's Only One Shot.
Everyone got moved up to something bigger than a solo cup this week. Not looking very great, but I gave them a couple days of foliar feed with Dr. Growth by Cultured Biologix. Lets hope everyone bounces back from the transplant! The 3Qt pots were filled with Oregon's Only #4, .5 tsp BioAg Cytoplus, 1 T Worm Castings, 2 T Oregon's Only One Shot/ per gallon. Just like the bigger pots.
Everyone is doing much better this week! Looks like they just needed a nitrogen boost with that Dr. Growth by Cultured Biologix! The color is coming back to all of them and I will continue feeding them on the nutrient regimen until next week. I'm going to take a slurry test and see where we are at in the ppm's to see if I need to continue with bottle feedings or if they will be ok with the One Shot in the soil mix. We shall see!
About to close up on week 8 of veg, going to get my other sweet peach and franco's lemon cheese into 5 gallon pots tomorrow! I wasn't able to get a ton of pics this week with the harvest of the pineapple plants. Excited to see what the effects of this trellis net.
Monday marks the day of THE FLIP! I will be bumping nutes and Bloom Khaos as flowering continues!
Day 4: Tied Soni Jr. to a tomato cage to ground her a little bit for the upcoming stretch
Day 5: Continued defoliating the canopy of the trellis net
Rolling through week 4 of flower! Nothing changing besides the stretching is finally coming to a stop and the bud sites are going crazy. I love seeing the personality of each of the plants through things like their pistils. The white widow has absolutely straight pistils compared to the Franco's Lemon Cheese and Sweet Peach, both with very very curly pistils.
We have reached the final weeks of flowering.. finally! This grow ended up taking waaay longer than I wanted, but live and learn. Probably chopping just about everyone next weekend.
We are feeding only once a week, the other 3 are pH 7.0 water only. Looking to harvest this weekend possibly? Most likely another week since I'm only seeing amber trichomes coming from the slightly light damaged top.
The buds were hung to dry for 14 days at 60% RH and 65 degree temps. This were definitely my favorite in the tent. The plant that was allowed to grow al natural ended up with the highest yield, which says a lot about this strain. A sweet, peach skin smoke to it. Definitely worth every second spent on the grow
Talk about the stinkiest buds ever! They smell like someone farted in my nostrils, in a good way, if you're into that kind of thing. They definitely have an exquisite smoke and a funky funky smell. Not the worst yields for 3 qt pots!
You know, not a bad bud. They were worth trellis netting them because boy did they stretch. Not AS much cheese smell as I expected, but definitely citrusy.
Hey, just wanted to say nice grow! It's awesome to see another Chicago grower, and one who uses #4 and Nectar! I'll be following you to see what else you do!
