Once again, a little late! It's been another crazy week.
This week was still only fed just plain water. I have actually switched to dehumidifier water since both of ours are running constantly. It is very hot in my part of the world. Luckily, this plant is in my garage and has a cooler environment. My poor veg tent doesn't have this luxury. After this week, we are supposed to get some sort of break. I will be starting some new seed at this time. This is just not a healthy time to be stating any seeds, particularly of the Indica variety.
The colas are finally starting to bulk a little. As expected, not frosting at this time. I would love to say maybe next week, but I am thinking there will be nothing until the week after.
I was a little shocked that I was called out on another forum that my SCROG was supposedly not a "real scrog." This individual went on to say that I needed to tie down my branches on the screen as they grew. I was really surprised as I have never heard to do that. In fact, I have read many posts saying not to do that if you want to keep your screen. I just tucked. As I showed you all in earlier weeks. I responded to this and was told that I should have kept tucking more into flower. The cola shoots were getting quite rigid, so I don't see how that would have been an option without snapping branches. To each their own I guess. I did buy another trellis from a garden center, just in case the colas begin to collapse under their own weight late in flower ripening. We will see when that time comes.
Other than that, a pretty boring, yet ideal, week. All branches are ripening well. I am starting to think that I will have to do a selective harvest. This is probably normal with the SCROG style. Some of the smaller flowers are getting blocked from the light. I have read this is normal and with leaf fade, they will be getting their light eventually. I don't feel comfortable defoliating this late in the game. Any suggestions?
I will be back next week! God willing!
Good idea man , I'm struggling with a dehumidifier 😅 it's bringing the moist levels down but the temps up 😬the bucket with salt sounds like it could work🤙🏼
@@HiddenColorado, Ha! Yes, I don’t start my diaries until the seeds are up and running.
After they are off the runway, I start. You are correct, that probably was around day 10 ;-). Don’t want hopes up and then a failed seedling. Been there too many times lol
And yes, full diary is a must!!!
