As I said last week, the ice cream pail didn’t last that long. Even though I was watering sparingly, the effects of overwatering can be clearly seen in the older leaves. It was already there when I was in the party cups, but really became prevalent in the pail. I had the entire bottom full of drill holes but the plastic sides still contained too much moisture. I am thinking about buying smaller cloth pots for all stages of growth. I don’t know what I ever did without them. At this point, if another plague comes around, I will probably tie up an old shirt to use in a pinch. They really are that good at aeration. The new growth from the bottom branches looks fantastic though, so I am not concerned.
I’ve given up on trying to list what nutes I am using. All are organic, and none are listed on this platform. I just applied a top dressing of Dr. Earth Premium Gold all purpose organic fertilizer. This is a solid ground up mixture of various organic materials that needs to be broke down over time. I also added molasses, more Recharge michorreaza inoculant, and also a light feed of Dr. Earth organic Nitro Big liquid. Nitro Big is a 3-0-1 fert that has been pre-digested to allow instant feeding.
She is still growing amazingly fast. Those bottom branches in the side view pic were barely nubs two nights ago. Here we can clearly see they are catching up with the rest, and probably will center with the top for a while after I top her. Topping should happen before next week’s post as rapidly as she is growing. She is also in the final tent, where the SCROG will happen. I haven’t installed the second light yet, as there really is no need at this point.
One interesting note, I took off the bottom two first true leaves when I transplanted, as they would have been either buried in or touching the soil, offering a pathway for fungus and other disease. After planted and watered in, I kept smelling a citrus aroma. It was coming from my fingers from pinching them off. This plant should produce some astoundingly pungent flowers.
See you all next week!
Good idea man , I'm struggling with a dehumidifier 😅 it's bringing the moist levels down but the temps up 😬the bucket with salt sounds like it could work🤙🏼
@@HiddenColorado, Ha! Yes, I don’t start my diaries until the seeds are up and running.
After they are off the runway, I start. You are correct, that probably was around day 10 ;-). Don’t want hopes up and then a failed seedling. Been there too many times lol
And yes, full diary is a must!!!
