Yikes! I am so sorry this update has taken so long. Last week was crazy. It’s finally warming up here in the northern hemisphere so we have lawn work and vegetable gardens to attend to. Everything is finally catching up, so I will be more on track.
My SCROG screen looks more like a SCROG spider web. I am thinking I need to invest in a screen with smaller holes. This one was advertised as what I needed from Vivosun, the same people that made my tent. I am now thinking this is supposed to be more of a support for the large flower spikes, hence the bigger holes. I am using what I have for the time being though.
Since it is my first time, I contacted the very helpful folks at Spliff Seeds and they recommended I wait two more weeks before initiating flowering. Tucking has been going well, but some of the branches are starting to stiffen up. I am being more careful with those. Also, the picture options for a SCROG are limited, I am learning. You can’t really get many angles from a plant that you can’t move.
In the end, it’s all about the flowers anyways I guess. Cannabis is like orchids. They basically all look the same until the flowers appear.
I finally got to stop using the small heater that worked so well during the winter. That was a sigh of relief. It works good but dries the air considerably. One frustrating thing about the lights is the one in the front won’t hang straight so it is a little lopsided. Normally I thread the cords that they hang by together to make them stay straight but these aren’t long enough to do that with. I will have to manipulate them once flowering is underway.
This week I have been just watering with clean water and no fertilizer. I suppose, if after next week, I will be initiating flowering I will have to start adding some granular organic flowering fertilizer to the mix so I can get that to start breaking down in time for the buds. I will start this at the end of this week or the start of next.
See you all next week, on time! Ha Ha
Good idea man , I'm struggling with a dehumidifier 😅 it's bringing the moist levels down but the temps up 😬the bucket with salt sounds like it could work🤙🏼
@@HiddenColorado, Ha! Yes, I don’t start my diaries until the seeds are up and running.
After they are off the runway, I start. You are correct, that probably was around day 10 ;-). Don’t want hopes up and then a failed seedling. Been there too many times lol
And yes, full diary is a must!!!
