Pretty simple. Just keeping the topsoil moist and trying to avoid overwatered soil. One ethos hash plant died after breaking through the soil. But I probably just didn't keep that corner moist enough most likely. I'm using a heating pad for the first time and it's been super nice for germinating seedlings. The soil dries faster but I feel they are progressing quicker through the initial phases. This seedling stage js definitely my least favorite part of growing. They are so sensitive!

I've been bringing the boys n girls outside whenever the weather is nice with not too much wind. It's slowed the growth slightly but it's hardening them up for their short outdoor excursion. The plan is to grow these girls in the tent for a couple more weeks and then I'll transfer to 1 gal fabric pots and bring them outside. I will start looking for preflowers at this time and selecting ones for veg growth that I like. I will toss any runts and take clones at this moment. Whichever ones remain will be put into the flowering tent after a thorough debugging sesh and quarantine (Since they will still be in veg prior I can get aggressive). I will then select which plants I like based on veg and flower characteristics. I am looking for fast ripening bud to lower flowering time in late summer for outdoor grows in New England without compromising on flavor or thc %. Take the clones, veg em and breed em. Who knows what will happen!??

Things are coming along pretty nicely. I would say my growth is a little behind but expected. I usually never do these techniques but space is tight. Transplanting, going outdoors occasionally, smaller non fabric grow containers and no humidity contol. I also just discovered that my heater has a light on it that's has been disrupting my plants sleep schedule. I also suspect my light is too close for how young they are as the internodal spacing is very tight. Not good!!! Luckily veg is forgiving on my new setup. Still working out the issues. Update: I bought a humidity and temp reader for my tent and I was way off. 35% humidity. So I adjusted a bunch of things and now I'm up to 58% which I still not great. I'd rather be in the mid 70's. I'll keep working on it

Transplanted everyone into 1 gallon fabric pots. Used coast of maine organic potting soil, lobster compost and my worm castings. Saving my homemade super soil for when they need the next transplant.

Plants are doing well in super soil with no signs of nutrient toxicities. Very very happy :) Now the goal is to watch for any deficiencies and make sure my water is pH appropriate. I am spraying for fungus weekly using a copper based organic fungicide. In my past grows I have noticed that I tend to run into issues with Nitrogen and Phosphorus in veg. This new super soil recipe used a crap ton of fava compost. I also made sure to add extra fish bone meal which is high in Phos with a little nitrogen. I will be feeding compost and worm castings bi weekly and using small amounts chelated micronutrient solution to round everything out. I use soluble kelp meal for raising water pH so I usually never run into issues with potassium deficiencies. For bacteria innoculation I rely on homemade worm castings, recharge and oregonism. I noted some baby aphids on my plants. I sprayed immediately with organic insecticide. Will repeat spray every other day for the entire week.

Pretty crappy weather recently but things are looking great in the next couple of weeks. All the plants are doing very well. I did some experiments with defoliation and got some definitive answers regarding plant development. Dont defoliate in veg unless the leaves are dead. The plants I left alone have much better auxiliary branch development. The plants are growing strong. Had some aphid attacks but I have been protecting them so it's just a battle that will continue on.

I'm at stage 2 of the pheno hunt. Rubbing the stems of the plants has revealed some interesting smelling terpenes forming. I definitely have my pick for keepers based off veg growth and smell, but the battle is far from over. The sex organs are just starting to form so hopefully by next week i can start making cuts of the bad (males, ones with lots of mutations, slow growth) and take clones of the ones I like. Some highlights Putang#3 very strong sweet tangie smell. Slow but even growth Watermelon zkittlez#1 watermel cotton candy Hash #1 spicey incense, cinnanom, nutmeg clove Trop#1 strawberry bubblegum Trop#6 cilantro, banana bubblegum

The 3 individual plants pictured are being moved indoors. Based of veg and smell. I want them to get a little bigger with a couple more weeks in veg. Keeping 10 plants outside. 2 hash, 3 Tropicana punch, 2 watermelon, and 3 putang.

One of the watermelon zkittlez I had in the tent that thought was a female turned out to be a male. Sad but this is part of the process. I ripped him out of the scrog. Now I have huge gaping hole in the scrog that hopefully can get filled in as we flower.

Very easy grow. Good for first timers. I wish I topped the plant more. The tops were maybe too fat. If the biomass was distributed more it would have prevented the eventual bud rot that ensued. Smoking it just puts me out. Really good nighttime smoke for bed. Smells like hash 100% with some cinnamon and anise. But really intense hash smell.

Wow. Mms got a new fan. The bud is one of the most unique I've ever smelled. Smells like orange fanta mixed with sprite and pine sol with a sour finish. I love citrus so this could be one of my favorites. The smoke is very uplifting. Feels like a strong sativa. No complaints. Now one could argue that some of the buds were on the smaller size on the non apical branches. I think if I grew it again I would be able to train it better. defoliating and topping this strain is KEY. Will be growing again. I got some absolutely beautiful phenos. I unfortunately lost all the photos.

Fruity juicy berries all day. Smells and tastes just like strawberries bubble gum. Completely as advertised. Really sweet and sticky kind of smoke. Again like most cookies the action was all at the top. Buds overall were small but super frosty. This is a quality over quantity kind of strain. Nice purple flecks throughout the bud. Smoking I get a strong sativa feeling. It just makes you wanna go on an adventure. Good morning smoke.

Very nice. Super dense and frosty nugs. Some of the nicest I've grown. I got 3 reg freebies and 2 were male. Very strong watermelon with kind of a rotten fruit vibe. Delicious tbh. I wish I had space for the males cause I would have loved to collect some pollen. I mean, this messes me up. One of the strongest I've grown. I feel it right behind the eyes.
