- They are starting to bulk up this week. I am starting to think that they should be ready in two to three weeks. -The Northern Lights that I had topped had some mold starting to take hold on one of the nodes. A single treatment with a peroxide/water solution Tooks care of it. I am checking them multiple times a day for signs of mold and mildew. The airflow in the garden has been pretty good (I still wake up to plants that have blown over through the night) but there have been a few really humid, really stagnant days with very little wind, so my guard is up. -The Northern Lights that I have been calling the runt is incredibly frosty and the smell coming off of it is just like a creamsicle. As it stands, she is the one that I am most excited about. -One of the other Northern Lights looks like it might be re-vegging. There is some odd new small leaf growth at the tips of the colas and it doesn't seem to be producing any trichomes on the new growth. I defoliated this one down to pretty much just the sugar leaves at this point. If I notice any more weird growth, I will chop her down immediately and use it for edibles or something like that. -Tangerine Dream is doing really well. Grower's Choice has some really good, really stable genetics. I am a big fan. My only hope is that she bulks up a whole lot more over the next three weeks. HAPPY GROWING!!!

Grow Questions

Should I worry about rainwater throwing off the pH of my soil? The water that I give them is always pH'd to 6.3. Will the pH of the rainwater inhibit my plant's ability to take in nutrients. Rainwater is slightly Acidic from what I've read.

Hi there! I think that even tho the pH is slightly acidic it is still not very strong so even the smallest adjustments should change the pH pretty easily so I dont think it will have effect on your plants. Heavy rain will maybe flush some nutes from the soil but I generally dont think this rainwater would be an issue.

Great grow! I do suggest you letting all the soil moist, not too wet. That will make life start to spread around soil, and it improve the root system of your plant due to life and due to the root system principle: It seeks water, so it develops. If you only water the part the root is, it will not have stimulus to grow further, and so you make a weak root system. Letting the whole soil moist make it consume the water around and seek more water next to it. And another tip, water around the plant, around 5 inches away, so it will be moist everywhere on the grow, and it will develop big!!! Wish you a great grow processes of creating life! Have a Shroom1!1!!! ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ

Look way nice! I have some Northern lights auto from growers choice and Candy Kush at 9 weeks today. All your plants look like they are doing great. My northern lights plants have the yellowing fan leaves like the tangerine dream plants you have. They are probably starting the sixth week of flowering and the buds and sugar leaves have nice color. My Candy Kush buds are looking sooo good. Again, your plants look great! Enjoy the success. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Good job on the grow. At what node did you top that Northern Lights? How did it perform after topping? Iโ€™m working on an auto NL, was curious for my next time around.

@cosmiccrowe, I think that I topped at the 4th node. It performed really well after being topped. I think that I will stick to low-stress training in the future though.
