This time I will test the grow-closet from Growfor.Life, which is the MOST BEAUTIFUL and stealthy GROW-CABINET I have EVER seen. It looks like a luxury HIFI-tower from the outside and is absolutely quiet when its running. No one will ever expect this one to be a grow closet! The closet is programmable for veg., flower and drying and comes fully equipped including a special pot and living soil. Check out their website: www.growfor.life ! Since I want to grow more than 1 plant in it, I switched the original pot with 4 standard 11 liter pots. Each one was filled with PLAGRON Grow-Mix and is for one plant. I plan to grow two Double Dutch (=Warlock x Chronic) seeds from Serious Seeds and one OG-Kush and one Gorilla Breath seed from Humboldt Seeds. The first step is germinating them the SERIOUS' WAY...in between wet paper towels inside a ziplock-baggy hanging inside a dark closet. (check my u-tube channel or IG for a detailed tutorial about germinating!) This makes the tap-root grow out straight of the seed, which is then much easier to plant into the soil. After 48 hours on the wet paper towel I plant the seeds very shallow, which means you can still see the top of the seed-shell peaking out of the soil after I am finished. This way the seedling has not to fight through the soil and can start to grow right away. I took pics every day, so you can see the development nicely. All plants grow well in the beginning, especially the Double Dutch from Serious Seeds. Only the Gorilla Breath from Humboldt Seeds is lagging behind and looks a little bit yellowish. After one week the biggest plant is already 9 cm tall.

During week 2 all plants are thriving except the Gorilla Breath from Humboldt seeds, its now sooooooo far behind it almost looks like it stopped growing. Since its also getting more yellow, I decide to take it out of the closet at Day 12 and add another Double Dutch seedling instead in the 4th pot.😤 This seedling is only growing its first set of true leaves when I added it and is now very far behind the other plants. Both Double Dutch plants (#1 and #2) are developing GREAT and grow very nicely. The OG-Kush from Humboldt Seeds is a little bit behind, but also develops well and has a nice healthy green color. The small little plants now start to have a faint smell, which I LOVE 😍. The plants have not gotten any additional nutrients until now, since I planted them in PLAGRON Grow-Mix, which has already nutrients in it. The Growfor.Life closet is very easy to handle and runs extremely silent, every day I admire how beautifully designed it is. Temperature and humidity levels inside the closet are ideal and the plants love the climate.

CANNA RHIZOTONIC - Canna
CANNA RHIZOTONIC 4 mll
During week 3 all plants are growing well inside the Growfor.Life-Closet and have a healthy green color. The latest addition: Double Dutch plant #3 (from Serious Seeds) is behind the rest, but also doing well. On Day 18 the biggest three plants, Double Dutch plant #1 and #2 and OG-Kush have gotten so big that a first round of defoliation was necessary. I do this in order to avoid big leaves touching each other and causing dampness to condensate between the leaves, which in turn can attract fungus and mold. Therefore i take off all the big fan leaves starting from the bottom of the plant and only leave the top two fan leaves on the plant. Now the air can flow freely through the canopy again and no leaves are touching and no dampness can condensate. The plants are still getting no extra nutrients, since the PLAGRON Grow-Mix I use should still have plenty in it. I only use RHIZOTONIC from CANNA one time in order to enhance the root-production. Now at this stage you already can clearly see differences between Double Dutch (from Serious Seeds) and OG-Kush (from Humboldt Seeds). The leaf shape is different (smaller and more pronounced fingers on the leaves of OG-Kush) and also the growth pattern (more like Indica in Double Dutch). On Day 19 I decide to do some LST (=low stress training) in order to train the 3 biggest plants into a bushier form. This is necessary, because the Growfor.Life-Closet is limited in height and I want the plants to fill out the whole area well with budding sites. I use stiff insulated copper-wire (standard electrical wire, pieces of appr. 30 cm length) and bend small arches, which I then carefully place over the top-part of a side-branch and push the open ends of the wire downwards into the soil so it holds the branch in place, while its bent outwards away from the main stem. This way I 'fan-out' the lowest 4 side-branches, so they are growing upwards at places where the light can reach them better. (see in detail in video) All plants respond well to the LST and turn their leaves and tips of the side-branches towards the light again until the next day. At day 19 the plants are now almost 20 cm tall, therefore I also decide to switch to 12/12 hours of light/darkness now in order to induce flowering. I change the program of the Growfor.Life-Closet from the standard-grow-mode (=18 hours of light per day) to the custom-flowering-program (12/12 hours of light, where I can choose the time when the lamps turn on). Now the plants will grow slower until they start to flower. I LOVE THE Growfor.Life-Closet, its sooooooooooooo BEAUTIFUL and soooooooooooooooo SILENT, a landmark technical development in my opinion! This is growing made stealthy and effortless, GROWING OF THE 21st CENTURY!

At day 20 I switched to flowering and sent my light schedule to 12/12 hours of light/darkness, therefore this is the first week of flowering now. I know that these plants from seeds are still to immature to switch to flowering directly, but they will grow slower with 12/12 until they are old enough to flower. This should happen when they are appr. 4 weeks old from germination, then they will be mature enough to be able to flower. I do this, because the Growfor.Life-Closet is limited in its heigth and I want compact and short plants at the end, so i can keep a minimum distance to the LED-lights from SANlight, which are built into the closet. The minimum distance should be appr. 25 cm from the canopy. At Day 25 the biggest three plants (=Double Dutch from Serious Seeds and OG-Kush from Humboldt-Seeds) have grown so many leaves that they start to touch each other and condensed water is building up between them, the plants seem to sweat. This means I have to defoliate the plants again in order to get a better airflow and also to let the light penetrate deeper into the canopy. You can see a video-tutorial for defoliation I made on Day 25. The scissors I use in the video came WITH the closet, they have a special anti-sticky coating and work like a TREAT! During the defoliation I recognize that one sidebranch of a Double Dutch plant is TRIFOLIATE (see in pics!), this means each node grows three instead of two leaves and sidebranches out of it. That is a rare occurrence in cannabis and can be seen like finding a 4-leafed clover. Although this should mean good luck, I also realize more and more fungus gnats flying around and put some sticky yellow strips (=sticky traps for insects) inside the closet. The plants also seem to get a little bit lighter in their green color in general, therefore I decide to start adding nutrients (=PLAGRON-TERRA-BLOOM) to my waterings now. All in all the plants grow like hell (the biggest one is appr. 30 cm tall at the end of week4) and develop excellently...I LOVE THE EXPERIENCE WITH MY GROWFOR.LIFE-CLOSET until now!

All 4 plants (= 1 OG-Kush from Humboldt Seeds and 3 Double Dutch from Serious Seeds) continue to grow EXCELLENT inside the Growfor.Life-Closet. They thrive in the light from the SANlight LEDs built into the closet and have grown back their foliation (=big fan leaves and side branches) within a few days. I continue to feed them with PLAGRON TERRA-BLOOM and they love it and all have a healthy green color. At day 30 I decide its time for another round of DEFOLIATION, since I see the plants 'sweating' again, which means condensed water is building up between the surfaces of touching leaves. In order to avoid this I need better airflow through the canopy and therefore have to take off the biggest fan-leaves and lowest growth again (see pics). I also see more fungus gnats every day and have put up a second sticky yellow-trap to get them under control. Within 5 days the 4 plants have grown so bushy again that they 'sweat' again and need to be DEFOLIATED AGAIN! Therefore I do another DEFOLIATION AT DAY 35 (=flowering day 16), see pics. All in all everything is developing GREAT and I am more than satisfied with my little stealthy closet garden!

Terra Bloom - PLAGRON.
Terra Bloom 4 mll
At the beginning of week 6 (on Day 17 of flowering) the first female pistils (=white hairs) start to appear on Double Dutch plant #2 (from Serious Seeds) and one day later on plant Double Dutch plant #3 and a few days later also on OG-Kush (from Humboldt Seeds) and Double Dutch plant #1. All 4 plants have now switched to flowering, but are still expressing some stretch and continue to grow upwards. Every time the bigger leaves grow back too much, so they start touching and they get condensed water between the leaves (=they look like they 'sweat') I do another round of defoliation. The LST has helped to train the 4 plants into a bushy form, where each side-branch gets enough light from the top without being shaded by the higher canopy. UNFORTUNATELY the amount of fungus gnats EXPLODED during this week and I had to take action. The two yellow sticky traps I had hung up showed a lot of adult fungus gnats and every time I opened the door of the closet now, a whole black cloud of little black fungus gnats would fly up. This meant they are breeding in the soil and even more fungus gnats will come, if I do nothing. I therefore decide to take out all 4 plants of the closet, defoliate and spray them with a spray especially against fungus gnats (i bought one in the garden center made for roses). I also put in yellow sticky traps directly ONTO THE SURFACE OF THE SOIL, which should catch any hatching fungus gnats right away before they can fly around and breed again. After doing this the amount of gnats decreased drastically, now more cloud, just one or two still flying around when I open the closet. The plants get nutrients with very watering now (4 ml Plagron Terra-Bloom per liter) and are developing very healthy (=nice green color). Until now I love the whole experience with my Growfor.Life-closet, the plants grow VERY WELL and the system runs sooooooo silent that I sometimes check, if its still on....lol 😎

CANNA Terra Flores - Canna
CANNA Terra Flores 5 mll
All 4 plants (3 times Double Dutch from Serious Seeds and 1 time OG-Kush from Humboldt-Seeds) are developing well, they love the CANNA nutrients I give them now (Canna Terra Flores). They all start to develop flower clusters now and grow so much foliation, that I need to defoliate them every 5 days. I defoliated at day 44 and then at day 48. At day 48 I also added Nematodes to my water in order to get rid of the larvae of the fungus-gnats in my soil. The fungus gnats have become soooooooo many (see pic of yellow sticky trap), that I decided to fight them with Nematodes (I order some over the web, which are especially against fungus gnats, see pic) and it worked like a treat, the infestation is now under control. The plants thrive under the light of the SANlight-LED modules built into the Growfor.Life-Closet. The two plants on the right side (=Double Dutch #2 and OG-Kush) are much taller than the two on the left side (=Double Dutch #1 and #3). In order to get the smaller ones closer to the light I decide to put a stiff cardboard-box under the pots. This raises the two plants on the left side and my canopy is now almost on the same level on all 4 plants. The Growfor.Life-Closet itself is sooooooo silent I hardly hear anything....its by far the BEST closet (and also the most beautiful) I have EVER grown in.

During week 8 (=5th week of flowering) the plants all developed clearly visible flower clusters and visible trichomes start to appear even on the leaves. The plants love the light of the SANlight LED-modules built into the Growfor.Life-Closet and thrive in it. Since the two plants on the left side are much shorter than the two at the right side (OG-Kush and Double Dutch #2 have a much bigger internode distance than DD #1 and DD#3!) I decide to put them onto a cardboard-box (~12 cm high) to elevate the pots and have the tops of the plant closer to the lamps. The Canna nutrients (=Terra Flores) are added to each watering now at 5 ml/liter (needed every 4-5 days) and the plants have a nice healthy green color. The humidity level inside the closet is still a little high (~62-65%) and the plants tend to 'sweat' (=condensed water collecting between leaves that touch) I continue to defoliate the plants when the canopy has grown to much, I defoliated at day 52 and again a little at day 56. The plants have all a very nice smell now, the Double Dutch plants exhibit a lemony, citrusy aroma, while the OG-Kush has its typical strong kushy (earthy) smell.

The plants continue to grow well during week 9 (=flowering week 6), they develop new flower clusters every day and get sticker as well. The trichomes are clearly visible now and the smell of the plants gets stronger. I love the lemony aroma of the Double Dutch and cant wait to try if it tastes like that when smoked. The OG-Kush has a dank smell to it, typical kushy smell, very STRONG! In order to aid the flower building of the plants i start to add boosters (PLAGRON: Sugar Royal (2ml/l) and Green Sensation (1 ml/l)) to the water with CANNA-nutrients. The plants love it and thrive! The SANlight LEDs built into the Growfor.Life-Closet have the perfect spectrum for cannabis and the plants grow excellently with them.

During week 10 the plants are still developing nice clusters of bud everywhere and the 4 plants (3 Double Dutch from Serious Seeds and 1 OG-Kush from Humboldt Seeds) smell delicious. The Double Dutch has a nice grapefruit, lemon aroma and the OG-Kush the typical heavy, gassy, kushy smell. The humidity-level is still very high for flowering (always above 60 % and sometimes above 70%) and at day 68 I discover BUD-ROT! My WORST fear has come true and I look closely at all 4 plants and find beginning bud-rot on two of them (DD#3 and DD#1). I cut off the invested parts and 'disinfect' the stem with a little vinegar on a Q-tipp in order to kill any leftover fungus spores and hope it does not spread further. The bad weather outside had done its work...😭 I stop feeding the plants right away, in order to give them an emergency flush (=only pure water and lot of it!), so i can harvest them soon. I rather harvest a little early than loose the plants to bud-rot. I also defoliate the plants a little bit, so I get better airflow thru the canopy.

During week 11 the plants continue to grow nice flower clusters and more and more trichomes, especially the OG-Kush from Humboldt Seeds is getting 'resin-rails' on the sugar leaves...AMAZING. The 4 plants smell VERY strong now, all 3 Double Dutch from Serious Seeds have a strong citrusy, lemony aroma and the OG-Kush simply smells DANK! I continue to flush the plants (=giving only water and no more nutrients) and monitore them closely, so i spot any new signs of bud-rot. Unfortunately I see new spots of it and therefore decide to definitely harvest the plants early, before they are fully ripe or have reached their full potential in harvest weight. This is VERY unfortunate, because they were GROWING AND FLOWERING GREAT inside the Growfor.Life-closet and loved the light coming from the built-in SANlight LED-modules. At least i can save some smokeable medicine from the 4 plants by harvesting them now, otherwise I will loose all of it to bud-rot. The VERY humid weather outside has not been getting better and therefore the environmental circumstances have led to this awful situation.

During week 12 the plants have been continued to be flushed (=no more nutrients with the waterings), in order to do an emergency harvest, because of bud-rot. All 4 plants still develop trichomes like crazy and smell delicious. The 3 Double Dutch from Serious Seeds have a citrusy, lemony aroma and the OG-Kush from Humboldt Seeds Organisation is FROSTY as hell and smells like a typical OG-Kush...DANK! On day 81, after 61 days of flowering I harvested the 4 plants. I cut off the big leaves and hung all 4 plants whole to dry inside the Growfor.Life-closet. The closet has its own drying mode (=low airflow for slow drying) and comes equipped with drying racks, if you prefer to dry buds. After 10 days the weed is perfectly dry and I can cut the buds off the branches and put them into glass-containers for curing and storage. I also put BOVEDA 2-way humidity control packs into the jars, so the weed does not get to dry.

Due to extreme outside heat, the temps and humidity inside the closet caused BUDROT! The early harvested buds were ALMOST ripe and had already milky trichomes. The Double Dutch from Serious Seeds smells like lemons and has a mild citrus taste when smoked. Its not the strongest, bud definitely an indica variety, that helped with my chronic back pain. She is a day- and nighttime smoke for me.

I hate fungus Gnats,,,, and in some runs i have to fight them hard, The worst thing is the larvaes in the soil,,, every grown up gnat puts eggs into the soil, and 2 weeks later you have hundreds of larvaes in your soil... and thats what they do... munching the roots. I fight them in every stage. Nematodes into the soil, neemoil on the layer and onto the leaves and yellowstickers like you I hope you win the battle

Great that you start a diary with this grow cabinet ! 👍😊 Last year at Mary Jane Expo in Berlin i have seen this product and took some flyers of it. It looks like a very well made product but the price is very high. Btw you have a really nice collection of Grow equipment. This cabinet + 2 x Sanlight Q4W Gen.1 + 2 x Sanlight Q4W Gen.2...
