Next step in my new perpetual harvest. Seeds started 12-04-17 germinated 12-07-17 Had a rather rocky start due to heater going out during cold snap, even lights didnt keep them warm enough, bit of wind burn from trying to evap soaked medium despite chill. Lost one, replaced it with a MMG Candida because i'm out, and then the stake got lost! I'll be able to tell by the bud but I'm thinking and hoping shes the big one. Makes sense. 90 degree training as per Nebula; stakes so far, not quite big enough to want to do ties yet but will tie them down clock-dial style. Using Canna Coco AB with Calmag+Silica at light feed strength. Would still be giving full 7.6ml of Rhizo but I'm running out. Foliar at 8ml A/B 8ml Rhizo (gotta refill will be 3 sadly). Trimming all of the bottom sucker nodes off each branch while they're young, hoping to have them all tied down by week 8 or whenever my mephistos finish and give them solid flower time in my 400w cob tent.

post-LST stress pics are always gnarly, waiting to see that bounce-back. Gently as I could; minimal injuries but not zero, too many plants to work on not to lose a node or top or two sadly... must be rushing ALSO seriously why cant i add the CBD etc tags to this grow? my other CBD grow is tagged, and I can't be the only one who follows the CBD tag here.

ID'd the candida, removing it from diary. Forgot pic of the 7th Medical Mass during all the training. Adjusted the ties, before and after pics. I'm pretty satisfied in the vigor, particularly the trunk and branch thickness. These have another like 4 weeks before they will have space in the cob tent -- i am planning on vegging them at least until they stagnate... if not the entire 4 weeks. These will need some trimming if they're to get much bigger. Even under the cob's penetration -- and even given the flatness of the plant -- some tertiary branches will only be suckers. Any full-on branches that start getting in the way are going to be clones, attempting bonsai mum collection from preferred strain/phenos. Problem with gauging their eventual size is how unevenly they were potted. Lot of stuff going on, started potting, realized i was low on coco. Some of them only have like 1.25-1.5gal of coir/perlite. Especially given how low they are I have elected that topdressing more coir won't make them grow deeper roots, as roots only grow down. As long as I can get them to the edge of their pots and then vertical, I should be able to put stuff under the pots that end up shorter and maintain a good canopy. Either way I regret not HSTing the bottom nodes of each cola more vigorously during their youth. These colas could have even larger diameter branches than they do.

((note on pictures)) Front left (closest) is the candida I removed from this diary, next 7 are the Medical Mass the diary is for, i tried to omit the two straggler white widow autos in the back but they peek into a picture or two. Out of rhizo. To-Do: LST before/after pics by next week, haven't been up to pulling them all out and working on them. Need to take a few branches that I think will be crowding and try to root them as clones. Need to try to determine what will end up being lollipopped and cut it early. Will keep the other plants out of the photos too =) Considering re-potting them so that they all have full pots (not sure if i have enough 3 gals to move the 2s into 3s). Was lower on coir than I thought during planting, some only have like 1.25-1.5 gal of coir/perlite. Got several weeks before the autos in the cob tent finish and I can flip. Don't want to finish under the Mars given that it's my medical; however the autos seem to have real bad trouble finishing on time under my Mars. So everything gets huge and I wait.

I had intended to take another round of before/after LST pics but forgot. These are directly after LST and foliar. Still planning on letting the "belly" branches (vertical nodes off each cola) get large enough to make viable clones before trimming them out so that it's not so crowded. They're scary crowded, this is literally my densest crop, node-wise. Got more Rhizo, which is good. This week I have 100% omitted any pictures of the Candida and the two Auto White Widows sharing the tent, as I have converted this into a single strain grow... now that I know which one is the candida =P

Super busy, so blurple cameraphone pics this time -- not missing much, just how less crowded they are. I took like three dozen clones. The clone guide I was using said "more wet the better" so i think the wilty ones on the right arent going to make it. I have discontinued the humidity dome and cut back on the spritzing, as well as drained the quarter inch of clone solution from the bottom. Hopefully I get *some* viable ones. TBH I have had better results with the powder than the gel, and i've done both big brands of gel now. One of the babies got inadvertant topped when I found out HOW easily razorblades penetrate plants. It'll be fine. As per my other diaries, I have ceased feeding daily and am now feeding bidaily using the calculator, my TDS meter, and lifting the pots to avoid the slight overwatering I was doing (even in coir+fabric pots). I still don't have a good setup to test runoff with this many plants, so I'm not watering to runoff. TDS meter before nutes, on tap: 24ppm after: 626. "Light" feed schedule. I plan on transplanting the ones that need it worse into 3gal pots, as opposed to the half full 2gals theyre in now, within the next couple of days. Once I've let them recover and populate the new pot with roots, I will probably flip them regardless of whether the auto tent is ready. I will probably also move them over to the cobs, as my CBD is my priority. TBH I'm hoping they do well enough in 3 gallons that I can flower only six of them and keep the candida (not pictured) + one of the Medical Mass in my veg tent for clones. Hence working on my clone tech; I could have cut all of those "belly" nodes as they grew but let them grow out for clone practice.

Bad photos this week, need software that can color-correct them better because dragging them out into full white light is a bit more of a hassle than it would be in most setups. Apologies. Have been vegging under blue only (160W), have turned on the red half for more vigorous growth before they hit the COBs. I didn't think the red light would help but nebula says "fuck it more watts" basically... I want them to be as big as the new 3 gallon pots and 317w of full-spectrumlight will get them... before stretching and yielding. Should have turned them on sooner. The clones died; I didn't think keeping them warm enough would be a problem but it was. Got up to where I needed A/C during the day so I installed our window units... but they make the windows leak so they kept getting cold at night. Will buy a heating mat for the next round, probably with thermostat.

Day 2 of 12/12 -- after 48 hours dark Had some iron deficiencies, went back to 4ml of calmag (after only two feeds at 2ml). Have begun adding calmag and potassium silicate even in my watering days; they should not produce salts and my low-ppm water is lacking. Assuming the rapid growth depleted them. They have filled out entirely despite the three dozen upward branches I took. this confirms my suspicions, in my mind. In a crowded, trained situation, taking both upward and downward nodes on the vertical pairs reduces crowding and gives at least the same end result. Those nodes are always so puny anyways. These are going under the cobs as soon as more of my autos finish -- I will move six of them into the old veg tent for finishing. These plants didn't take up the whole tent before, and that was with 10 plants in it. Figure the extra space and the cob wattage will go to good use on these babies. I haven't made a diary for the candida, but it's fine apart from being the most iron-depleted. Not pictured.

Tied them down again right after flipping, defoliated heavily a couple times. Stretch progressing well. They fill the tent. Last update was a day after flip so this is beginning of week 2 post-12/12. Beginning to wonder how many people count the stretch as "veg". Apologies for pictures; tremors. I took a bunch lol. Wasn't able to remove non-diary candida it's in the front right of the tent (pics from front left corner)

Final home, under 2x200w Roleadro 400 model Epileds. Going to lower the light to 20". Continuing to stretch. Need to tighten LST and determine what at the bottom needs to come off. Bit crowded., but cola structure seems a lot more on point this go-around. Moved calmag down to 2ml. Skipped a feed day and watered instead this week, trying to flush, thus three days in a row 1gal (per tent) pHed water. Rhizo will end after stretch.

Candida has been removed from grow as per single-strain rules; didn't feel like cropping it out without losing the other plant in that shot. Defoliated, lightly lollipopped these when I tightened their straps. They fill the tent pretty good. Smooth sailing so far. Lights still raised, will lower them back down gradually.

Stopped rhizo, started molasses. I don't think the 6 of them (kept one and the candida for mothers) are quite as much yield as i can pull off the tent, but I'm still going for per-plant records considering they're Critical Mass. Did some watering on feeding days and low quantities of water for flies. Back to normal schedule. Lights-out phone flash pics came out poorly on this one, so I took some closeups to compensate.

Emergency options in coir for pH pen breakage w/ minimal damage? I will end up getting a backup, but i bought a $50 nice one off amazon that will be here Monday. I have baby fert (and germing seedlings to use it on as well, sigh) and distilled water. Brand/type of water? RO?

I use lemon juice and Baking soda in a pinch, using litmus papers will help A LOT if your pen breaks, i always keep some in stock just in case. But in a super pinch you can take soil samples from your plants and add vinegar to one sample and Baking soda to the other (after adding a bit of RO/distilled water to the sample) If the sample with vinegar in it fizzes your soil is to Alkaline, if your sample with Bicarb fizzes your soil is to acidic. If nothing happens that means the pH is close to the pH of the Vinegar or Bicarb. This wont tell you exactly what the pH is, but it will give you an idea of how acidic or alkaline it is. Hope this helped

Good development this week. I'm hopeful on yield since it's only 6 plants, had planted 8 but kept the candida and a mother of these. About to stop silica. Want to make sure I don't need to use my yoyos. New A/C, lower daytime temps. Steadier. Able to keep it cooler at 50-55% instead of warmer at 45%. This should be better suited, the cold should help them finish, and the VPD chart says that that's a good percentage.

Starting to grow resin after the initial couple of bulk waves. Hopeful this one still has 2-3 weeks of bulking and growing more dense... or rapidly. Happy with performance thus far, figure they will yield quite well. Trying to calculate actual flower onset, figuring week 3 of what I have marked "flower" for this harvest -- which actually I just started posting as "flower" when I had turned the light timer. Branches are bendy, still feeding silica. Intend to discontinue. Been splitting batches of fertilizer with the other tent for half the water a day, trying to keep the gnats under control since the temperatures have risen. Trying to end up on a water day with super light pots to give them a good drenching, use up what's in the bottom, flush what's there out. Also want to get some good saturation with nutrient solution afterwards, then begin my flush.

These are a lot further toward harvest than I had thought due to their bulk -- which is disappointing. I hadn't even moved down to post-bulk nutrients, and I'm going to be skipping to the flush. Not sure if that's the gnats or what, but it's more or less true across all six plants. I had been only sipping the plants to try to get the gnats out, drought shocked two of them. That's when I discovered their trichomes much closer to harvest than I had thought. Not very happy. Had expected large colas by now, not sure what I did wrong. If it's the gnats, it is because I re-used the bags... and washed them... but didn't use iso to kill the otherwise-harmless white mold that grows on the bags. Seems to ruin drainage, they had poor drainage their entire grow. The CBD Critical Mass is already bigger, and 3 weeks younger. Hopefully that one yields a bunch of good medicine, or I'm going to be in the lurch. I kept a clone mother of these Medical Mass, hopefully its clones perform better.

They got their bulk! I also remembered A) this was an 8-plant grow, and B) I was looking at this as an entire crop instead of half of one. Just because it needs to last, doesn't mean my per-plant or per-foot average is low. I think the actual yields are going to be fine. The two that died as heroines for the cause of getting rid of the gnats (draught, wind) were very dense. Very dense, despite being at least 2 weeks premature (only a few partly cloudies). They work decently as medicine, and they filled six quart jars. I'll go through them first. This is *probably* the last update, but CBD plants finish 1-3 days after THC would (by the trichs). If they bulk again, I will take pictures for the harvest post. It's flushville from here on out.

Two aren't finished. Sorry for terrible pics, I have a lot of family stuff going on. Hospital on one side, cancer on the other. I only took 4 shots of each and then took the least-blurred, apparently I needed to take eight. Tremors. Need a better auto-stabilizing camera. They bulked better than I thought they would in the end and they're fairly dense. I still don't expect yields to be like they had for the last couple months but this will last my mother and I until the big CBD crew plants finish. Under all that, roots were exposed and I couldn't see it, on multiple plants.Couldn't have topdressed anyways, too low. Potassium silicate kept heavy gnat problems at bay but I couldn't fix drainage issues caused by the white powder mold that grows on these fabric bags when you overwater. Iso washing all my bags right now. No pics of the second one I already harvested, only first. Left it in the dark and it finished purple and had a wave of resin, but started dying at the tips. Nebula says 1-3 days after you would harvest a THC plant for peak CBD, so I wait three.

Got some ambers popping up but they're still mostly clear. Looking more mature but seeming to be behind the others in terms of maturing and ripening. Will update with harvest details. Apart from the two i killed with the fan, super premature and i didn't weigh... currently I have a 33.5 and a 26.7. Not happy about my stock of medicine, but the other crop should be coming in fat and heavy. So it's not catastrophic.

Last few days, will have harvest report for the four that finished. Still have one in the mother tent. Got some decent shots this time. Medicine is great, mostly hoping these beat the 28-33.5 gram mark the other two set. Good muscle relaxant and excellent pain killing. One of the last two is getting the chop tonight, other going for dark time before chop, few days... whenever's convenient. Got a lot of equip setup starting next week, wont want to have harvests.

Originally started with 8 plants. Decided to start doing clones, kept a mother, and the candida that was in the tent. Then I was reducing watering for gnats, moved the fan in the tent, killed two more unexpectedly. Not a good yield on this one, but I don't attribute it to the genetics. With this technique (which I have modified for the Lithium) I had a hard time telling they had exposed roots, and topdressing would be difficult. Had not iso washed my bags, so they got really bad white mold (its not salts?!) and did not breathe. As a result, with poor drainage, gnats had a field day. No telling what the biggest contributing factor was. Will be topping tertiary branches at the first node instead of removing or leaving them, see how that goes.
