Hello gardeners! I'm starting my third grow after two good attempts where I learned a lot. In my first trial I was able to pull 40 + 20 + 20 = 80 g under not optimal conditions (limited time mostly), and in my second I improved to roughly 40 + 40 + 60 = 140 g with one additional week in veg and an additional led panel during flower. Now, my goal is to harvest 3 x 60 = 180 g with pretty much the same set up. The differences from my previous grow will be: 1) 1 more week in veg (total 6 weeks): I felt that my girls were not mature enough when I flipped them to 12/12 in the last grows. I wanna see them stronger and more robust this time 2) Use a larger pot size during flower (5 gal): for the same reason as above, I want to give them the opportunity to be strong and robust plants 3) Reduced number of colas (16 per plant): last time I was a bit conservative doing lollipop and removing the little side branches, and ended up with ~23 colas/ plant, which did not allow proper spacing between colas. Although ventilation was never a problem, there was a lot of shade that could not be avoided. 4) Improved feeding regime: (see images) one of my goals with my growing is to establish a good feeding regime that works reasonably well for average strains with my growing medium (PRO MIX herbs and vegetables). Since the medium is a hybrid between soil and soiless, the plants don't need extra nuts in the first weeks, but as the plants grown, the organic compost present in the medium becomes not sufficient. My feeding strategy is basically the GH Flora Series - Drain to Waste chart with reduced amounts in the first 4 weeks and slightly less nitrogen during flowering. 5) Height Control: since the girls will have an extra week to grow, I'll need to be extra cautious and control their height from the very beginning. I'll be doing 1 top in the CBD and GG, and probably 2 on the Moby Dick. I also may try something similar to manifolding on the Moby Dick if she starts to grow really faster than the others. In addition, I'll be scroging everything as low as I can. 6) LED panel distance: last time plants finished flowering about 16 in away from the lamp. I feel that I can lower it to 13~14 without problems, so I'll try this too SET UP -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Grow tent 2 x 3 x 6" hidden on a closet (0.54 sq meters) Light: 2x LED Panel VIPARSPECTRA 450w (200w real) Air filtration VivoSun 4" exhausting outside the closet Air circulation: 2x 120mm 5v desk fan Container: Red Solo cups / 1 GAL / 3 GAL / 5 GAL Medium: 75% PRO MIX Herbs and Vegetables (sphagnum peat moss, Peat humus, compost, perlite, gypsum, limestone, organic fertilizer, Mycorrhizae - NPK: 0.30 - 0.05 - 0.10) + 25% Perlite Nuts: GH Flora Series Ph: 6.0

What's up! This week I transplanted the girls to 1 GAL fabric pots on day 13 and fed them for the first time. Initially I was planning to give only water in the second week, but since my "accessory" supplements have low amounts of NPK, I decided to start giving a half dose mix of calmag, floralicious plus, and molasses. In the next week I'm planning to introduce Flora Micro and Bloom at half dose, in addition to full dose calmag and floralicious plus. Cheers and fiiire!

They are growing supper happy and healthy. Beautiful leaves color and size. I fed them 2 times this week, following my own formula. Final PPm was 800 (tap base water was 250) and Ph=6.0 In the next week they'll be transplanted to 3 GAL smart pots and will receive two more feeds in which FloraGo will be introduced at half strength and FloraMicro will be increased to full strength. I'll also add molasses in the feeding right after the transplant. In addition, Moby Dick and GG#4 will be topped in the 4th node probably in the middle of week

Hi all! This week as a busy one. All girls are growing well and very healthy. Beautiful colors all around and stems getting stronger. No doubts this run has been the best so far! They were transplanted to 3 GAL smart pots in different days according to their sizes. All 3 had a few roots reaching the bottom and the sides of the old 1 GAL container, so I'm pretty happy with the timing of the transplants. Maybe I'll wait a few more days to transplant in the next round, so I can do everything in the same day (around day 27-28). ~~ Feeding They received three feedings this week and they seemed to love it. I've increased FloraMicro to its full amount (5ml/gal), introduced FloraGro at half dose (2.5 ml/gal) and kept FloraBloom at less than half dose (1 ml/gal). Next week all products will be increased to their full amounts (i.e. FloraGro = 5 ml/gal, FloraBloom = 2.5 ml/gal). ~~ Training All girls were topped this week. I'm going to test different training strategies/arrangements in each one: a) CBD+ : top at 4rd node and remove secondary growth on all pair nodes. She'll be the less manipulated one due it's small size. It'll finish with 22 tops b) GG#4 : this will follow a strategy similar to what I've done in the last grow. Also topped on the 4rd node and all secondary growth will be removed on pair nodes. Unfortunately one of the main branches has been partially broken, so I won't be able to train it properly until it has been recovered. Branches from the 1st node were also removed, which will lead to a total of 20 tops c) Mody Dick: I'm testing the famous MainLining technique on this one. She was topped 2 times this week, leaving only 1 more to be done. I'm following the original technique but I'm leaving all fan leaves behind (imo it doesn't make any sense to remove them). She will finish with only 8 tops. ~~ Next week Next week I'll start scroginng them and they'll probably receive 2 feeds Cheers

Girls keep growing very healthy and fast. I installed the SCROG net on day 30 and by the end of this week (day 35) they have taken most of their space under the net. I'm trying to keep the net as low as possible so my tent can better accommodate them after stretching ~~ Feeding They received only one proper feeding this week (Day 31) , following the full strenght formula (5 ml Micro, 5 ml Gro, 2.5 Bloom). On Day 34, instead of repeating the feeding, I decided to give only CalMag + FloriPlus + Molasses because I found the leaves a bit too dark green. Better play safe now so I can feed heavily during flower. ~~ Training They were SCROGed and all new growth on pair nodes were removed. The leaves on the upper side of these pair nodes were also removed to allow the light to penetrate the canopy better. Moby Dick was topped 2 times and now the Mainlining is complete! The stems are getting super thick and the new colas are growing SUPER fast, I'm really impressed and looking forward to flowering. GG#4 has recovered the broken stem quite nicely and has pretty much occupied all space under the net. Because of this, I'm flipping to flower a few days before planned ~~ Next week I will flip them to flowering mid week, probably Wednesday, instead of Sunday (end of 6th week) as previously planned.

They are growing super well! Beautiful leaves all around, not even 1 single leaf with stains or showing any bad signals. Very happy so far! I've flipped them to 12/12 on Day 38 (last Wednesday), 4 days before the original plan which was to complete 6 full weeks on veg. This means that this week was actually not a full flowering one, but half and half. ~~ Feeding They received two feedings this week, one exactly as the last week (4, 5, 2.5), and one after flipping, with increased Flora Bloom (4-4-4). I'll continue with the planned schedule since it's working super well so far. Next week I'll introduce KoolBloom. ~~ Training The SCROG makes training super easy and has been successfully keeping the 3 girls at the same height. I had a hard time training Moby Dick though; I ended up partially braking 3 of the 4 main stems because they were super thick and sturdy only 2 days after the last topping. They have recovered very well and fast, but from now on I'm taking extra care when training it. ~~ Defoliation I defoliated the girls one day after the flip (Day 39), removing all leaves under the scrog (a lot) ~~ Next week Not much happening next week. All I have to do is to make sure the 3 girls are growing at a same pace so I end up with a flat canopy after stretch.

This was a tough week. I was away from home for the entire week, so I couldn't adjust the light distance properly nor properly water them. A good friend of mine came mid week to give the feeding I had prepared, but the heat wave hitting the city + not having the house AC on made the temperature inside the tent increase much more than I would like, reaching an average of 32 C (90 F) during the day. The high temperatures and the very low distance to the lights made the plants to dry much faster than usual, so when I got back in the weekend they were suuuuper dry. ~~ Stretching I don't know exactly why, but CBD+ and MobyDick have stretched more than I was hoping for while GG #4 stayed where I thought. The real surprise was the CBD+, which had stretched much less in my previous grow. They have grown about 1.2 inches per day! -~~ Burning Although CBD+ and Moby Dick have stretched a lot and thus got super close to the lights (6 - 7"), they were looking super happy and had all leaves upwards. In the other hand, GG#4 was around 12" away from lights but presented some burnt leaves. She wasn't looking very happy at all. -~~ Adjustments after the week off I've defoliated them, removing dead and excess leaves, cut some lower branches that didn't stretched to make up to the canopy, and obviously adjusted the lights height. The problem is that now I'm literally without vertical space, so CBD+ and Moby Dick are about 12" away while GG#4 is about 16". If they continue to grow at this rate, I'll have a hard time

I've been growing Moby Dick using a mainlining technique. During the stretch phase, some secondary branches have grown a lot and are not close to the main stem anymore. Should I keep them? Should I cut? Will they help making big, fat colas?

Hello Go through the whole plant thoroughly and any that are really not getting the best light remove. But if you have a few secondary that are getting good strong light...id say keep them. They may just be smaller dense buds off the lower side of your biggest colas but would still give you some great buds. And then you'll have some branches to compare against, whether keeping the secondary shoots helps or harms.👍

The top leaves on my GG#4 started to get brown on the edges. Initially I thought it was light burn, but the stains kept progressing after I readjusted the light distance. Is it a nut burn?

I don't think they're burned. Leaves burned by light behave differently. They twist and look dry. Your leaves look good, try to raise the PH a little to 6.5 if you are watering with a smaller value, or check the EC and play with the dosage of nutrients.

Hey all! This was a crazy week. The girls continued growing up and have reached 30" (CBD+ and Moby Dick) and 23" (GG #4), pretty much outgrowing my vertical space. I removed my carbon filter (which was clogged and needing maintenance anyways) and pushed my LED lights all the way up, allowing CBD+ and Moby Dick to stay 7" away and GG#4 12" away. Although the LED manufacturer recommend a distance of at least 14", the girls seems to be liking the strong light and have not shown any light burns. One of the MD colas is only 4" away! ~~ Defoliation I've finally gained courage and heavy defoliated the girls (Schwazzing style). I removed one fan leave in each node + top leaves that were creating lots of shade. I'm looking forward to see the results of this so much controversial technique! ~~Feeding Since GG#4 presented some nut burns, they received only one scheduled feeding plus one "watering" (only Cal Mag, Florilicious Plus, and Molasses, Ph = 6.0). Next week I'll come back to the normal feeding schedule.

Another boring week, not much going on. The girls are gaining weight and the smell is getting stronger. Since root development is not important anymore, I've increased the number of feedings/watering to every 2 days (total 3 per week) to keep the medium moist most of the time and help the plants absorbing what they need. I won't be flushing and starving my plants to death as most of people do, so feeding will continue full power this week, and probably reduced/cut next week.

I'm on day 50 of flowering and started checked the trichomes. I can see that they are not fully white (opaque) yet, but at the same time there are several amber/brown ones. I was planning to harvest about 10 days from now, what do you think?

wow you're definitely having a good amount of amber trichromes already. Sometimes the sugar leaves will get ambers a lot sooner than the buds will and you want to be careful to not fully gage readiness based on those leaves trichromes. I think your window for harvest is open and your should flush if you need to. Also, myself and several other grower friends who did some high cbd plants, medical strains, noticed that they were often ready for harvest sooner than we expected or planned on. I don't know if this is because of the cbd aspect and if it happens to all higher cbd strains...but so far we have definitely noticed that is a trend. I know dinamed says around a 60 day flowering period...but we should always take any breeders time-line with the idea that there's usually some variation grower to grower. I know you have a few strains so you may have to harvest at different times, but I'd say cut the cbd soon, the gorilla could use another week, and the moby is looking very close also. Perhaps give the gorilla the 10 days, and check the moby in 7. Happy harvesting. ✌️

Two watering and 1 feeding this week. They received their last dose of Flora Micro (3ml/ gal) and higher doses of Bloom (10ml/gal) I've also defoliated them for the last time ------------- CBD will be ready for harvest sooner, probably ~5 days. Thus, she'll receive only water this week Moby Dick still 10~14 days, so she'll receive more heavy nuts this week Gorilla Glue needs 7-10 days, so she'll also receive more heavy nuts. It'll be difficult to harvest them in different batches due to space constrains, so I'll probably chop them next week (in 6 days)

After harvesting CBD+, I moved Moby Dick and GG and re-tied them to cover a larger area. Now they have much more room to breath and get some light I'm continuing with the heavy feeding: GG: it's getting ready and will be harvested on day 66. I've cut Flora Micro in the last two weeks but continued to give high amounts of Flora Bloom and Liquid KoolBloom. This week (her last), she'll receive only plain water Moby Dick: she just doesn't stop putting weight on the buds! It's insane! For this reason I didn't stop giving Flora Micro, only reduced a bit (0, 1, 3 ml/gal in the three last feedings), and obviously continued with high amounts of Bloom and KoolBloom. In her last feeding (day 63 FL), I experimented increasing P-K even more, giving 12 ml/gal Flora Bloom and 3 ml/gal KoolBloom. If she likes it, I'll keep the high dosages for the next 1 or 2 feeds. I'll probably harvest her on day 70

New growth by the very ending of flowering. Both GG and Moby Dick have started to put lots of new growth in form of new calyxis and new white pistils (mostly on top of each other, fox tailing). How should I proceed? Wait more ? keeping watering or feeding?

Foxtails from heat or possibly the plant being to close to the light. This wont change your harvest time and wont cause you any problems. I havent had it since i improved my setup slightly but wasnt an issue. Just keep growing and dont let it through you off your harvest time.

This is caused by heat and/or light stress, too much red in some sativas that evolved close to the equator can also trigger this. I think you should keep it going untill you got the foxtails at cloudy and the buds themselfs done to amber, just try to make it in such a way that nothing is too imature nor too mature. Foxtails look good imo, may be some extra work but looks good. Just keep growing it as you were so far.

At this point I'd check the trichomes and see where your at. I've had a few plants do strange things at the end of flowering. I personally would just give the plant water from here on out. From the looks of it the foxtailing isnt gonna get any better so the decision is up to you.

Harvest at day 69/107. Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed with the mainlining technique. Final yield is good overall, but the 8 colas got really different from each other, which is not supposed to happen in this method. There was 1 huge cola + 1 very big + 2 slightly smalled + 4 medium/small
