Super Lemon Haze x Ruderalis
May 15, 2020: Planted seed direct to medium at 5:30 pm
May 19, 2020: Seed popped through around 12:30 am, about 3 1/4 days after planted.
About 65% reused Wiggle Worm Castings, 15% Miracle Gro Perlite, 15% Canna Coco Coir, old roots from last plant, and nutrients.
4 Gallon Pot Nutrients:
Gaia Green 4-4-4 Veg: 13 tablespoons /4 gallons
Gaia Green 2-8-4 Bloom: 4 tablespoons/4 gallons
76/24 split
Let's see if she grows taller, as like my other grows in this deep 4 gallon pot.. vs my 5 gallon squat pot grows. In this pot/journal I grow with mainly worm castings. My squat pots are mainly coco coir medium. I think that I like the squat pots with coco coir grows best. They seem to be less lanky ladies, with less popcorn buds. Just my opinions.
Day 20/June 8: Split one of her top stalks, as shown in the picture. I taped her up and will update with pictures soon. She seems to be growing at an unexpected rate? Is she a photoperiod? :D Her main stock is thick and her body lanky. I defoliated 1 leaf prior to LST around the bowl.
Day 21: Split top did not survive
July 11, 2020: Defoliated mainly larger fan leaves. 30-40 leaves is my guess. Time to feed her one last time
July 14/Day 56: Top dressed with 12 tablespoons of Gaia Green 2-8-4 and 4 tablespoons of 4-4-4 organic nutrients and defoliated about 20 leaves
She has been handling the heat really well! 57% humidity and air circulation in the tent has helped, and adequate watering. I soak her pot roughly every 2-2.5 days. It has been hot and feeling like 40C with humidity over the past couple of weeks. Her temps drop at night, when my a/c unit finally catches up with cooler night air. I have seen daily temp swings briefly up to as high as 30C/86F and as low as 22.5C during this heat wave. I'm having to leave the tent door cracked.
I've decided that I will use my LED Grow Light, YGROW 100W/35 watt power draw, like I did with my Canuk Cookies grow, for the last week or so of my grow. She needs a break from the heat. My Canuk Cookies grow seemed to really fatten up under this light. Maybe it was coincidence.
Day 73: Removed her from higher powered LED light to 100W "equivalent" Ygrow LED lighting. I'm giving her a break from heat, while still getting some of the benefits of my Phlizon 1000 watt "equivalent" that hangs partially over her. She will probably remain here for the rest of her life. :) The past two grows I put under lower light, near the end of their bloom cycles, seemed to get fat fat. Not sure if it's coincidence. She is already fairy thick in dense buds! I have also increased her water this week, as I flush out nutrients prior to harvesting.
Day 75: Heavy defoliation.
August 7, 2020/Day 81: Harvested and trimmed a bit. Hung to dry at 60% humidity and 23C. Will update soon
Wet weight 494.9 grams/17.457 ounces
My estimate for dry bud weight after stalk and leaf trim is approximately 3.45 ounces.
4.23 ounces/120 grams of dry bud weight. I also smoked around 4-5 grams before dry weighing.
Nice thick, dense, sticky, trichome loaded colas with really low popcorn bud amounts thanks to LST. Smell is amazingly pungent, like diesel.
I'm really happy with this Canuk Seeds Super Lemon Haze Strain! Love me some haze! Great quality buzz. Uplifted, happy, creative, energetic, calming, some body relaxation... without couch lock
@GaiaGreenGiant, Ohhhh yeahhh!! :) The only thing I would note about using any type of top dress nutrients is that you till the medium a few times after applying. It helps for water penetration to the roots. :) Easy enough
Beautiful grow my friend. Really nice work here. I checked out some of your other work and man do you have a talent for this. Looking forward to see what you do next. 👍
