First week since is over since they have sprouted. One seems to be a little bit of a runt compared to the rest, hoping it will catch up in size. Going to be vegging these under some LED’s until my tent is finished and clean, at that point it will switch to the 1000watt MH for a month or two.
I transplanted them into new 5 gallon breathable bags and moved them under the 1000watt MH. Also topped them all except for one by the end of the week so they have been topped twice now, going to a couple more times and start tying down arms. Gave them their first feeding which did not go well. Nutrient burnt them they seem to be a little sensitive compared to the last vanilla kush I had. Going to be going back to straight water for awhile while the leaves clear up.
Nutrient burned them a little earlier in the week. Flushed them a couple days after with straight water and the leaves stopped burning. I have started to LST them and going to top once more when they get a bit taller.
Another week and they are growing like mad. Starting to bud fairly quick. Going to add some bloom nutrients during the third week to get them really into production
Plants seem to be going yellow, can’t figure out why. Was giving them mainly water at first and then a shot of nutrients which seemed to throw them off in week 2 of flower. I thought maybe they needed a little veg nutes still so I tossed in a very small amount this week to see if they come back green. If not I plan on running water until I notice a difference.
Still haven’t been able to figure out the yellowing issue. I gave them a shot of nutrients at 650ppm with monster bloom and monster grow to see if the nitrogen helps bring back the green... and nothing. I should really check the run off to see what the ph is coming out at. Also sprinkled some ground limestone to see if that can bring up the ph in the soil. (My soil has dropped down to a ph of 4 before). Starting week 5 I switched over to Gia Green Bloom nutrients by doing a top feed. Hoping maybe this can bring some new colour to my girls! Either way everything is growing lots and they seemed to bed quickly!
Starting to fill out. My one is still over watered and very lime green, it seems to be the only one who didn’t come back from the nitrogen deficiency. Hoping it will still produce a dense bud. The rest are doing well, the one I didn’t LST and from lower leafs off seems to be doing the best (I think it’s just the better pheno, not to do with the maintenance).
Switched over to giving them roughly 4 tablespoons each of Gaia Green power bloom as a top feed, hoping this brings some new life to them.
Not a good week. My inline fan fell off my filter and crushed one of my cookies kush, it also took out my Gorilla zkittlez and bent a smaller cookies kush. Was not happy to find this happening to another grow! I tapped the plant back up and added some support for the arms, really hoping she isn’t going to hermie like my last grow when a different fan fell. It’s not how I hang them, I’m just super clumsy.
Overall this grow isn’t going the best, one plant is yellow with not nitrogen, one plant is now broken, but the other two are healthy!
Getting close! Chopped the first one down today, she was the smallest and worst looking going into flower. Leaving the others for closer towards the weekend.
Also have cuttings from these girls I’ve done all organic, tossed in a few pics. They are around week 8 and have some beautiful colours.
Unfortunately I tossed these girls into flower worried about giving to much nutrients like my last run and starved them of very much needed nitrogen. Some were more yellow than others and just couldn’t seem to get the colour back in them. Other than that I think they turned out the best they could under those circumstances. Was hoping for a bit bigger yield but I’m sure with the extra nitrogen from the start they might of achieved that. I seemed to have a couple different phenos from the seeds. 1 very much like the OG parent, and the other 3 very similar structure to GSC.
Other than that will update with a smoke report once she’s all dry!
As you're well into flower I wouldn't want to feed too much nitrogen even if there's some yellowing starting. While this is early for the fade to be setting in it's encouraging that you're still seeing good growth. So long as you keep up the nutrients the growth hopefully continues, but you probably won't get back to a good green before the end of harvest. As your grow setup is soilless and your earlier veg pictures look like coco if you're going to check your runoff to see pH, also check the EC.
The buds are looking nice and frosty!
@@CanadianTimber, Ha, that's great to hear as my outdoor girls are in ProMix Organic and hitting the half way point as I just started moving them into the shed at night to get a head start on flowering. :)
@Green_Coffee, been running promix HP I believe but switched to fox farm for the next round. Promix gives me nothing but problems half way through every grow. Thanks for the info though!
@@CanadianTimber, That's a sign you don't give enough nutrients my friend. Your plants probably eaten all the nitrogen in the veggie stage at the last grow burst. Try to give m some nutrients with high nitrogen in it 😉 I hope this helps
https://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabis-plant-problems/nitrogen-deficiency🤙🏼 I used overdrive from advanced nutrients, seems to work well for this problem
Hey dude, I’m like 90% sure you have a magneese definincy, https://www.sensigarden.com/manganese-deficiency-cannabis/ check out the link, looks like that’s what your running into
It always sucks if something happens and a Plant suffers.
Here we had storm and the wind broke my biggest Plant in 3 parts.... i taped and bend her and hope all branches get well again
Sorry for the fan mishaps. I had a fan slip early this grow, but it didn't crush anything; instead it was blowing directly on an underwatered seedling. I was growing 5 with the intent to take the 4 best into flower, and that forced the choice. Much better to lose a surplus seedling than to lose a plant into harvest :/
