Sweet Seeds genetics: RED POISON
Green Poison X an exotic purple flowered autoflowering strain, descending from Pakistani Kush ancestors.
Red Poison Auto®️ (SWS39) grows with the appearance of an Indica-Sativa hybrid. It shows great hybrid vigor from the first stages of growth. The plants develop a strong main stem and long flexible side branches. This strain produces thick dense buds covered with aromatic resin.
Taste and aroma are both very pleasant and intense. Sweet and fruity with a soft Skunk background.

At this point I am beginning to notice an issue... I am not sure what the problem is so I search photos on the net.... "Calcium Deficiency" seems to be the problem.... I go to my local hydro store and purchase some Blue Labs equipment because the PH drops/colour chart is just too iffy for me and Im afraid my plants will croak.
Blue Labs EC meter
Blue Labs PH Soil + Liquid pen
After testing, everything seems to be well within Normal specs
somewhere within this time frame I repot up to 5L. I added around 1/3rd more perlite to make sure my drainage was good and lots of oxygen to roots... I've read too much internet crap by this point and am terrified of everything drastic happening to my poor little plants.
I cut open the 1L pots and see loads of roots.. I mist them with a spray of Voodoo Juice, Tarantula, Piranha and a few drops of SuperThrive.....
The plants must love it because they grow like the hulk within days and I start Low Stress Training.... By now I am an expert internet reader but still cannot figure out why I have a Calcium issue!!!! I am perplexed.. There are tiny rust looking spots on some leaves as if they have the measels, but not all leaves are effected. .....
I changed from Distilled water to tap water. Filling my old distilled water jugs ( 4L ) and leaving them open in the grow room to dissipate chlorine. Tap water PH is 7.8 and 170ppm to start with. Advanced Nutrients when mixed in takes it down to 6.2,
I then further the drop to 5.8 with a few tiny drops of PH Down (phosphoric acid)
Still showing signs of Calcium issues... I'm at a loss here still and decide to not bring my PH down to 5.8 but put it to 6.1 in hopes Ill get more Calcium from the medium.
I go into the local Hydro store and the previous owner happens to be there. We talk about my novice grow and I mention the "Calcium" issue as I show him a photo.... He immediately asks me " Are those pots on a concrete floor? Because if they are, your roots are getting cold making it look like a calcium issue".... The new owner gives me a nice slab of styrofoam from an old box to put on the floor of my tent as I go home.
I sick my BlueLabs PH soil pen in a drain hole at the bottom side of my pot and HOLY CRAP its only 17c and the PH is 5.2 !!!!!
I take the plants to the bathtub and flush them with clean water PH'd to 5.8, about 8L of rinse per pot. I check initial run-off and its a whopping 2300ppm/50!!!!! I also remove some of the effected fan leafs in hopes I dont get some sort of plant illness.
A day later I do the same PH test, PH is 5.8 and temp is 22C...all is well again.
I should have paid attention to growing saying...make sure you get run off checks.
Well... I have some great looking buds happening by this point in my opinion. Unfortunately I didnt end up with a super red looking plant like I wanted but it is changing colours and definitely has purple hues at this point. The smell is getting thick, thank god I purchased the Can-Lite carbon filter or my whole place would be reaking.... I should be getting close to finishing according to Sweet Seeds website, but upon inspection there is still a while yet to go... They've been getting 24hour light the entire time and good airflow. The shorter plant seems to have progressed further at this point, trichomes are standing on end and I feel good about my grow.
This is my current timeline/ up to date.... Cutting off the Bloom nutes, adding more carbs and finishers. I've been watching trichomes under a mircrscope and just noticed a very very few are turning brown, most are milky now with still many clear... Id say around 60/40 milky.... There is still some new bud growth, one plant of the two is yellowing heavily now... May be one more full week..
The smell is very fragrant, if I touch a bud I notice a bubble gum scent which fades quickly to a lemony sort of scent.... They look very healthy and much more resin production than the Sweet Seeds catalog photos, although they are no where as Red under normal lighting. The LEDs certainly make them look more Reddish/Purple than they are but they still seem to be getting darker
I'm going to rinse the left pot with Advanced Nutrient "Flawless Finish" which is suppose to grab nutrients out from the plant and medium with empty chelates then only feed with PH 5.8 water for a week or so. Tricomes are mostly milky now on it but not many brown at all.
The 2nd plant which is much taller looks to be about a week behind, so will treat that one accordingly. I'm really tempted to chop the advanced one down!!!
Flawless Finish and Bud Candy from now on out, Giving a more heavy dose of Flawless Finish right now and will wait 12 hours and do it again with a heavy flushing that time to get the medium as clean as possible. It will take at least 4L per pot to start flushing well.
Still look like they are packing and fattening up though. Yellowing in the left side is pronounced,
Day 65: A few more days of flushing till the chop. The scent is kind of nasty right now
It was fun and exciting to watch and help these seeds turn into a plant. I'm only hoping now that I can dry and cure them properly to get full experiences ! :)000
Curing is going well. Grassy smell almost completely gone now after 2 weeks.
