This is my favourite strain so far, usually I don’t grow a strain multiple times, but this one is a keeper.
The effect is so delightful, giving a creative and thought-producing high which lasts for hours but is then gone without any tiredness. To me it’s a top-shelf cannabis strain which should be grown by any sativa-lover.
Welcome to the longest diary I have published here on growdiaries!
As I’ve grown this strain last year with many mistakes like revegging and budrot, this year i wanted to nail it.
I put so much effort in this strain, darkening her in beginning of summer so she could have enough time to flower, moreover I did some strong LST, HST and topping to her, to keep her at a low level which worked really good. I hope you enjoy my harvest report on this special strain by barneys farm!
GROW:
My Dr. Grinspoon grew really fast and vigorous in vegetative phase. She bounced back on any training, resulting in huge, strong branches! I decided to put her in flowering after 7 weeks of vegetation, which was a good choice as the flowering was super long!
She was about 18 weeks in flowering, maybe a bit less due to the long stretching phase which basically is no flowering week.
I harvested the last branches at week 30 with nearly no budrot, which surprised me a lot!
HARVEST:
The harvest was actually really fun, because it’s like exposing something, like a skeleton of a dinosaur😅 she gave me a lot of cuttings, which I used to make some ice hash. The yield was about 56 grams of dried buds, which I’m happy with!
SMELL: 9.5/10
The smell is the most citric and natural sour one I’ve smelled so far😅 matchless in my opinion.
TASTE:
In the category of Taste i need to add that I’m only vaping this strain to become more creative and to receive a thought-flow. It tastes pretty much like it smells, citric and fresh. I like it!
EFFECT: 10/10
Usually I pack my vapcap with 0.05-0.1 and I take the first hit, then I become really creative and words are just flowing, perfect for writing! When I use more of her, my thoughts are rushing through my head and speaking is effortless. The effect lasts pretty long, but leaves me without any couchlock, it’s just like you didn’t smoke anything, perfect for daytime-use. I think that’s the thing about landraces, they are they ones producing a clear high, without any confusion, which I really love!
I hope you enjoyed this diary as much as I did, I’m sure I’m going to grow her again, indoors might be interesting in a year or so: 1:
I hope to see you soon, stay healthy in those times!
Hi! Wow, what a dedicative awesome project you stated and accomplished! Respect! 👍
Can I ask if you did light deprivation while on holiday? I thought I saw 17 hours of light, but she didn’t reveg.
Congrats on your well deserved harvest! 🤩
@StealthyDutchGuy,
Hi, thank you for your kind comment! I did light deprivation, the listed hours of light were the Natural Hours of light in my area... Until the beginning of september I put her into a dark room at 17:00. Was a hell of work in total😅 thank you for your appreciation and have a nice day🤙😊
Good luck mate. I did the same with light deprivation last season. It can be a hassle every day for sure. I reckon if you are on bloom feed you need to be diligent in the first few weeks but you can miss a day or two later in bloom. Im trying to think of a better way next season cos if im stuck at work i cant move the plants and its a hassle. Good luck mate👍🏽👍🏽
