day 1 from clone into the pellets. this is a split of my nighttime goodies gods gift, and do si dos. grow diaries didn't have an option for pyramid seeds dosi. I also use Ken's granddaddy purple, which is alternated between these in a super dark purple pheno. These gg and dsd strains are super fat leaved indica dominant treats that side branch like crazy with tight spacing. the Dosi clones very well too.
These ladies have a long way to go. Don't really like mix and match with various heights, traits ect, but I only have one finishing system for flower, and want to find the best one.
week 2 down. wish some of these smaller clones would catch up. I'm going to have a super un even canopy down the road. Just moved all these over to the mini rdwc today with the chiller and more air, so we will see.
Small yielding. Light purpling at the end. The 2 phenos were tight and average densities. Both taste and smell very simular. Very grape/berry candy smell with almost a very small hint of pineapple in it ground up. Cold toke was very similar in taste to my grandaddy purple, and what you would expect from the smell. The high is creepy. Seems weak at first, then comes on quickly after 10-15min. Slightly energetic at first with the desire to fire up some good tunes, or jam out layering into a more chill hunger stricken relaxed buzz, but not very sleepy. Was flushed well and was smooth. Thc level wasn't very high, I'd guess between 17-19%. Would have given a little higher ranking, but the low yeild, subpar color, finicky with feedings. It is hungry. I was burning tips on other plants trying to feed these in rdwc while it was barely enough for this one. I'd recommend it for a great just getting off work toke.
Got a lights off shot of a few as well as an on of everything. Have a few coco plants under there as well sharing light until there's no more room. So far I'm not entirely happy with this round, but well see how it goes.
Some of the phenos in this group have managed to turn out ok. I have already trashed a few clones from a couple on the right hand side that are tiny and crappy. Still after 2 weeks of stretch none of them have completely filled out their 2x2 area of net, but 3 have come close, which are clones Ill be keeping till these are finished and tried. Then I'll re clone 10 of the best one to fill this room. Ill have to veg them an extra week or 2 next time to fill the entire canopy. usually my hybrids and sativas only need 3 weeks, and I gave these almost 4. I think I might move the spider farmer 4k over in place of the hps next week also when I turn the power up the rest of the way. Get rid of the yellow look, and lower the temp a little. AC is running all the time right now.
End of week 2. Posting a day early bc I'm going to be busy rest of the weekend. Swapped the hps out for the spider farmer, did some defoliation, and swapped out the nute water. These girls aren't going to fill this entire canopy, but it is what it is. The "strech" is slowing down, and even before I plucked the leaves, I could see the floor. I know for next time to veg the indicas longer. This was the first time in this rdwc or dwc period I've done Indica dominant plants. Other than that, everything looks Ok. upped the mag a little as there were a few places I started to see red/purple stems spots. I dont ever do full defoliation, but I did a good chunk to uncover any shadowed sites, and will just pluck here and there from here.
On auto. Haven't done much here since last week. Put lights up to 70% power, and co2 up to 1200ppms. Gave them a week after a medium defoliation to do so. Will be introducing mag sulfur this week with watering split with calmag, then only mag sulfur next week. Everything looks pretty good so far for mediocre yielding strains. The gods gift definatly like much more calmag then everyone else. Had some rusty leaf on em, upped the ppm on the feed about 70ppm of just that to see what happens.
This run is turning into an abortion! First its mixed, then they didn't get vegged enough to fill the canopy. I just had a Whitefly problem that wouldn't quit with neem, azoz, ect so I bombed the room with Dr doom... yea it doomed it alright. Still have flies though it did knock the numbers down quite a bit, it roasted my leaves everywhere. It doesn't make me feel any better that theyre low yielding strains either. The purple urkle 1 is getting medium yields tho so far. Im embarrassed at this point to have this on here. Hopefully they make it out of here alive! Only about 3 more weeks. Next week I'm going to ween off the nutes and only feed with water, then flush the week after. Next week I'm going to start dropping the Temps a little too and see who changes the colors I like to see.
Didnt have time to wait around for a dark shot. Not much difference to look at anyways. Everyone is starting to fatten up. A few brown hairs are starting to appear which leads me to believe Ive got an extra week or so most likely to get where I like em. Still alot of white fresh hairs comming in. Ive stopped adding nutrients.. well just mag sulfur. It was at about 415ppm. Next weekend I will change out all the water for the last time to straight RO, and dump the night temps into the 60s.
Dumped the system full of straight ro water with 100ppm of mag sulfur. Will be topping of with only ro from now on. The plan is to cut down next weekend, but they look like it might be a little longer than that, but we'll see. Its going to be a light weight harvest with this skinny canopy of low yielding plants, but I think this will last me the rest of the year. I have 1 more run after this, then it's back to testing, crossing/breeding, and bigger hunts.
Today is 8 weeks. They still gave a few days to a week before theyre cut down, but they will be coming down by next weekend. The do si dos are starting to purple a little. I was really hoping to see more color out of all 3 of these which you would usually see by 6-7 weeks, but not much. The Temps have been 80 daytime, and down to 62 now at night too. Dammit!
Once I was a few weeks into flower, I didn't have high expectations for what U saw out of these strains, especially knowing they were low yielding. This pheno I picked of this dosi..... WOW! It wasn't a high yielded or a fast finisher which I would have given it full stars for, but my goodness.. the smell, the density... Im not easy to impress... off the charts! I don't even care about the other ones now, and they came out alright too.
Hey dude, please make a review of both strain taste :)
I'm searching for a specific purple taste since months, and I plan to try the Purple Urkle from Pyramid Seeds for my next grow session.
So I'm verry curious about the result you got. I understand that you fallen in love of the Do Si Dos, but please, share your opinion on both :D
Thanks :) I hope you are enjoying your harvest :)
@hanzo385, I'm expecting a verry delight smell and flavour for the Purple Urkle. She is supposed to have a verry specific taste, that not every purple strain can have.
Really difficult to describe... I would say something like grape, flowery, like a women perfum :D But not Diesel like.
That's what I'm searching since March... And I really hope she have this terpene profile, as a descendant of the Mendocino Purps...
Thanks for your reply :) I'm verry impatient about your review of the Purple Urkle ;)
@PurpleWorship, hey dood. Yea I dropped the ball on that. I actually haven't even tried the urkle yet, and just tried the gods gift a few days ago. The gift was pretty average, but good mood. Couldn't even tell you what it tasted like. The urkle has fantastic bag appeal, and very tight. I'll give it a try soon and let you know.
Dude it looks amazing wish i was there to smell it to. Do u have experience with dutch passion seeds or 42 fast buds seeds? U have it going on in there i have to say im a little jealous lol i almost wish there was a thing on here so we could trade seeds discreetly hmmmm makes me think any ways cool grow and ill keep up with ur stuff ty
@Xspellsx, Thanks! I have used quite a few strains from dutch passion, and they have all pretty much been great. I have only had one plant of durban that keeps turning hermie. I had 2 other phenos of it that didnt, but I didnt clone them to keep a better one. Fast buds I havent tried yet, so I couldnt say. They are more aimed at autos, which areant my thing,... but Ive seen some great results from their genetics from others.
Great grow and diary details, useful as I’m a week behind you in my Widow grow. Looks like yours got way frostier over the last week.
Good harvesting to you!
