Day 15 added new light diy quantum boards 4x qb132 on mean well driver, built frame using ceiling tile framing which has a 90 degree ledge the boards just sit right on them and don't require a heatsink. Cost me under $200 to build

Topped the 2nd cuz it was taller than the rest of the group and want to try and keep a more even canopy moving forward. 1st one is small it was transplanted from it's starter pot a few days ago but both healthy

If these grow anymore im in trouble I got no room everything is overlapping. The first one was topped and it's a moose. The second one was left alone other than a little super cropping to make it fit the space. Hand watering a gallon a day they are hungry bitches.

They are gettin swelled up now the big one has a little calmag def that just started showing today. The big one is the only one I topped out of this crop and its looking good but you can only fit 4 this size comfortably in a 4x4 so if i did it to all 12 I wouldn't have the space for the other 4. Also trying a combo of the drip system and hand watering every few days with nirvana, floralicious plus, prozyme, pure blend pro to give it some organic substances to feed on and then in the drip res I do canna coco a&b and calmag, terpinator, liquid kool bloom, drip clean, hydroguard and maybe a lil armor si. Pics were taken on Day 66

First one is a beast but has a pretty bad calmag deficiency which sucks cuz I like my plants to be pretty. Here's a fun fact, nutrient deficiencies usually start 3-5 weeks before they actually show up on the plant. I've been mixing in tap water with my R/O, going over the max reccomended dose on the calmag, did a decent flush on her. It is only showing at the top of the plant for the most part except for the newest growth. The 2nd one could be bigger but doesn't haveroom to maximize its potential. This is a good strain and has some serious balls. Starting to smell potent as well and the big one covered in frost despite the deficiency.

Both had last drink today and I'll chop em afterthey dry out and then some. They stink wicked heavy I had to upgrade my filter to the phresh cuz of these two. The nugs are rocks I couldn't have asked for a better turnout other than the calmag deficiency they are heavy feed candidates. This strain is top 5 pending smoke report.

Week 13. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

The Ryder is a very good strain in my opinion one of the best fastbuds has to offer. It grows vigorously into a large plant that produces an array of frosty, potent buds that are rock solid. It has a unique smell to it kind of spicey with a creamy scent mixed in. It is one of the stronger smelling strains I have grown and also one of my favorites on the nose. Weirdly the untrained plant yielded more than the topped one likely because of the deficiencies of the big one. The smoke is balanced, it doesnt bring you too far up or down and the balance can vary depending on when you decide to harvest. The buds came out 8/10 dense. The bud structure varied, the trained one came out 9/10 and the untrained one 7/10. I loved the blue and purple tint that came thru on the head nugs of the untrained one. I would recommend defoliation as the lowers were a little soft on one of them. It is still curing so if anything noticeable changes I will update as I've only smoked it twice. 3.5g was taken from each plant for sampling as trimming took forever it was difficult to keep everything together and organized and I gave some to a friend. I will be growing this one again at some point and would reccomend to anyone interested in the FB line up.

This was a fun one to grow they grow quickly into a large plant. Never felt threatened by bud rot or anything. High frost levels, dense buds and strong aroma. Was one of my favorites to grow and reccomend.

@Hawkbo you must live next to a nuclear facility man ???? LoL cuz I swear nobody's plants look like yours......that s*** is like what every plant wants to grow up and be...... LOL keep it up dude .....I don't know why you don't have more Awards..... the way those plants Bush out ......do you do LST?

Hawkbo
Hawkbocommented7 years ago
@ChefGreenThumbGardenofWeedin, Haha thanks idk man I must have pissed someone off lol its all good tho I just spend alot of time with my plants and put in work and research often. I don't really do any lst I top, lollipop, defoliate, do leaf tucking, whatever I can to open things up but keep it clean. Everyone's plants should look unique cuz nobody has the same exact process

Hawkbocommentedweek 77 years ago
It's day 47 from germination on 3.9.18 still in veg
Hawkbo
Hawkbocommented7 years ago
@UKauto, haha I know what you mean the first lsd I grew did the same thing I bent it over for lst, went on such a crazy stretch 8 had the bend the stem back in towards the middle again it looked like one of those drain pipes under a sink. It could be from stress honestly I've never cut the leaves before I usually just defoliate them but this whole crop is mad bushy and has fan leaves the size of my head. I added tnb naturals c02 it's just a bottled organic substance u add water and shake daily and since then they have been growing crazy foliage. Most of them have starred to flower now but northern express and gorilla glue still in veg and so bushy they are almost strangling themselves. I had bad luck with 2 gorilla glues in the past both did the same and strangled themselves. I think this run will have a few monsters right now is about the time I'll find out this week they should stretch before packin it on.
UKauto
UKautocommented7 years ago
@Hawkbo, are the cut leaf ends from fimming? Think maybe the stress has prolonged the veg period? I've had it both ways where topping has either shot a plant straight into flower then other times caused a longer veg. I topped my lsd-25 3 weeks in and she had a crazy stretch straight after, no new leaf development just pumped out over 10" of stem in a week. Main stem was proper soft and bendy too, absolutely no strength in it, could have bent it 180 on itself without damage haha. This is looking superb though man, most growers wouldn't veg for this long on photos haha gonna be a beast 👌🏻

@Hawkbo, I think I'm getting a feel for this now. Pretty sure I nailed my defoliating so far on my 3rd grow. Been too busy and had too many things going on to keep up on a diary but been keeping a log so hopefully i can just hammer it out in a few weeks when i harvest. Dont want people to think I'm slacking off, l've been putting in work lol

@Hawkbo, Cool dude! How’s your Mephisto’s finishing up? Some of mine are getting frosty and I’m gonna plant new ones in autopots soon
Hawkbo
Hawkbocommented7 years ago
@LumberjackBuds, sorry bro I just saw this I topped one of these but it's mostly from minor lst and defoliation/leaf tucking. I go kinda OCD trying to make sure I open up as many holes in the canopy as possible to hit lower bud sites. Then for the LST I only bend the main stem a little to let the sides catch up and then I untie it to keep the main cola the top dog and then the ones around it end up being close to equal with each other but a little smaller than that top one

Hawkbo
Hawkbocommented7 years ago
@@frags, thank you bro, honestly I don't know exactly I think it varies depending on the driver but if you look at the specs on horticulturelightinggroup.com it's the qb132 X4 on a meanwell hlg 185c1400b and the ones I use in my flower tent are qb288 x8 running on meanwell hlg 480c2100a and they should provide a breakdown of max/min lumens per sq. Foot according to the milliamps put out by the driver (for example with the drivers the "c2100" stands for 2100 milliamps or 2.1 amps)

Wilson_McNuggetcommentedweek 136 years ago
those came out nearly perfect....I was looking at the nutrient line up...quite a few things there...I noticed you mentioned the PBP is better then the Canna for the quality of aroma's....I was reading a short article from a 3rd generation commercial grower, who said that out of all the products he tried in his comparison that Canna was the largest producer but did not have the best smell or flavor...the guy stated Fox Farm was the best flavor and smell...BUT HE THEN STATED THAT.....CYCO was the only thing he tried that beat the Canna in size and Fox Farms in flavor and smell....I personally like their product line, and luckily I was gifted an entire kit to do a side by side CYCO vs. my GHS Advanced combination....you might want to look at CYCO for a grow? try it out...so far I have only read great things about it...and I started using it to finish my grow...I do not have any complaints at all....
Wilson_McNugget
Wilson_McNuggetcommented5 years ago
@Hawkbo, I hear you...I made something I thought was getting to where I wanted to be...ON MY FIRST GROW...yeah I trimmed for a couple seasons and know some growers...BUT THIS IS MY FIRST GERMINATION......now I did once get 99 plants into the ground in three days after I spent 3 weeks clearing the area for some people...it was a hill/mountain side....but I never got to actually go start to finish on anything...certainly not anything I started.....I liked the Cyco guy cause he heard what I told this site...and he wanted me to try his product in a side by side...so I said PHUQ YEAH...thats GSC 420 Fast Buds for my second diary...I started with GHE 3 part, added Armor Si, Diamond Nectar, Nirvana & Bud Candy from Advanced...and maybe something else.....if it works DONT FIX IT...I dont have a perfectly round tire yet....BUT NEXT DIARIY maybe I will....BY THE WAY I ACTUALLY HAD A WHEEL COME OFF MY TRUCK ONCE....someone had to have loosened the lug nuts cause it fell right off... I pulled over picked up the wheel PUT IT BACK ON TOOK ONE NUT FROM THE OTHER THREE WHEELS AND WENT TO THE STORE TO REPLACE THE ONES I LOST....I like riding it till the wheels fall off
Hawkbo
