How we growers get big buds is determined by so much!! The first and foremost is Genetics...
Light is next, when you initiate flower 12/12 or with auto flowers when the preflowers show that’s when you lower your light to the optimum distance for manufacture...
Then raise it as the plants grow. I like to raise it every morning during stretch by 1-2” depending on the speed they’re growing of course.
This will promote flower growths all the way Down the stems and prevent unwanted stretching.
Again, there‘a so many things that can influence your plants, the list goes on. If you want to investigate further I have to know more about your setup etc...
