She is growing fast but she is also the target of many pests since she is 24/7 outside now. No more lamps and such.
I have seen:
- aphids
- leafminers
- some kind of tiny black fly
- something that creates pin holes in my leaves
- something that creates larger holes in my leaves (suspecting snails, but not finding slime trails)
what I have done against them
- ladybugs, squashing
- monitoring
- squashing
- nothing yet
- i have some bio granulate that is pretty good. need to poor this tonight.
general: leaving them in the rain
however its hard to control everything so:
I am on the fence on using a pesticide. I have done some extensive reading on the active ingredients (acetamiprid 5g/L) in the pesticide I still have at home. According to what I can find there is very little toxicity for humans but it will murder some beneficial insects (bees will not die from it, they will not feel good as well tho) but casualties should be non existent or minimal when spraying in the evening. I know this is a topic many people have very strong opinions on (me as well, as I try to avoid using pesticides like this). The product should be active up to 4 weeks (read 3 weeks) and should be out of the plant afterwards. So spraying at the beginning of flower should give some piece of mind.
also: TIL, 1tsp != 1tbsp. so if anybody is wondering: you will not murder your plants by giving them 15ml regularly over the cours of its life....
The sun has been unrelentless and i think it caused some heatstress because pistils were starting to form again. A bit over a week later i can clearly see more bud forming. Sun has calmed down but weather is getting bad. What do? Chop or leave a bit more? Leaning to chop.
Hi,
Bring your light up, check your temperature and continue with your harvest schedule. This can happen if your plants are too close to the light and heat problems. Foxtailing
Try to fix this problems so there isnt further damage.
Happy harvest!!
This is why the common recommendation is too observe trichomes. If she show deficiencies like she appears to be.. I would chopping sooner rather then later.. Starving plants and allowing them to process all available resources can lend itself to product that doesn't finish nicely or well at all. You will get very different information from different growers Like some folks aim for Amber that is 30% because it provides for a cough/couch lock experience... This will not fly very well in my area.. People prefer and know product should be and can be smooth.. Some people associate the coughing and the heavy feeling with "good" weed.. Experienced smokers/connoisseurs know the difference. Find your own preference..
