Green House Seeds Co - BubbaSlush (Bubba Kush x Gelato) Day 3 (incl. germination) Germination was trouble free with a strong radicle forming within 48 hours. Transplanted into 1 ltr pot and will commence GHSC Simplified Feeding regime in about a week. For now, just plain PH'd H20 It is noteable that out of the 4 different varieties (from different breeders) that I have popped for this round, BubbaSlush is the most vigorous out of the traps, The plan is to let her (other than maintainence and housekeeping) run free so that she can demonstrate her natural phenotypical tendancies and unfettered genetics. I wil be growing in soil and utilising GHSC simplified feeding regime throughout. This is about as straightforward as it gets. Veg should be circa 5-6 weeks but will be ultimately dependant on the size and health of the plant and flipping will have to be well judged as the breeder advises to expect this little madam to hit 150 - 170cm Breeder advises a flower period circa 65 days. I have not grown GHSC genetics before and am looking forward to this grow.

Half way through week 2 including germination. Impressive growth right out the traps for a gentle soil grow. Almost 11 inches in just over two weeks from seed. You can already see that this cultivar is going to have big leaves. Root growth is good and the clear orchid pots let you see where you are up to. Will need to re-pot into final 25ltr pots this weekend

Almost end of week 3. BubbaSlush is well into her stride and has hit the ground running with thick strong vigorous growth and huge leaf development. She certainly has those 'Hollywood' good looks. We have suffered very hot temps here lately and BS is showing a few signs of heat stress with some canoeing to her leaves. I have raised the light (again!) but with three circulation fans and my EVAC fan running full blast and running my 'lights on' period at night..........it is still too bloody hot 😕. I also use Bio-Silicon to help relieve heat stress and ensure that the EC levels are very low to help the plant uptake water more easily. She was re-potted from a 1 ltr orchid pot into a 25 ltr airpot, using hydrocorn as a base with Bio-Bizz All Mix, (with an extra 10% added perlite) and a half strength mix of Green House Feeding - Bio Grow. This should only require water for the rest of the veg period with the occasional Green House Feeding Bio-Enhancer top up (essentially humic acid and high quality kelp) although I will supplement with Bio Silicon, Fulvic Acid, Cal/Mag as required. I have only filled my pots two-thirds full of soil at this stage as I will be adding a further amount of soil mixed with Green House Seeds - Bio Bloom supplement once we get to flower and I will need the extra 'pot' space. She is nice and healthy and vigorous and normally I would top her at this stage, but the plan is to let this pheno run her natural course so that she can show all her phenotypical characteristics. Other than a small amount of LST and routine maintainence, I will not be touching her (unless she starts to get too big!) Some LST lies ahead once we have a little more branching development.

Approaching end of week 4. BubbaSlush is a mean green massive leaf machine! Plant is barely a month old (including germination) and is throwing out 11 inch leaves already. Stem and branching is thick and sturdy. Growth has been good with 4.5 inches in the last 7 days This plant has not been fed for a month now - other than plain water - and is showing no signs of any deficiencies at all. The only 'food' she has received is BioBizz All Mix soil with a half strength dose of Green House Feeding BioGrow. I have to say I am very impressed with the performance of BioGrow so far, particularly as I have used this same feeding method in three other cultivars from different breeders and each are showing very vigorous growth, vitality and absolutely no deficiencies. The plan will be to veg her for about another three weeks before flipping to flower. I will also carry out a pre-flower defoliation of any sucker stems but will retain all the leaves as far as airflow and humidity allow. That said, every branch on this plant has a huge stem and there does not appear to be many 'suckers' at all.

Approaching the end of week 5 Outstanding growth with 7.5 inches over the last 7 days. BubbaSlush is now starting to stretch vertically. One of her traits is for her leaves to start the day drooping and she takes an hour or two before they reach the full 'praying position'. She is also drinking a lot of water - around 1.5 litres a day, but she has a 'bodybuilders' structure to support! I have carried out a pre-flower defoliation of all sucker branches (not the leaves) that I considered would not produce substantive bud. I have removed a couple of the very lowest leaves to aid general airflow. I am expecting a significant stretch so I will have to flip this lady in the next week or two before I run out of flowering headroom!

Approaching the end of week 6. 7 inches growth in the last 7 days - this lady is going to be flipped next week a full week early, otherwise she is growing through the roof of my tent. Bearing in mind that this is a soil grow with no additional feeding other than a combination of Bio Bizz All Mix and a half strength dose of Green House Feeding - BioGrow mixed in at the outset, 33 inches growth in 42 days (including germination) is not to be sneezed at. Good genetics at work. I do use a variety of supplements which either condition or improve the soil; aid nutient uptake in the soil food web; improve the overall health and root development of the plant. As well as structural components such as bio-silicon and Cal/Mag. None of these supplements provide any primary NPK. Not really seen a plant quite like her before both in terms of her structure and her 'idiosyncrasities' (she has bags of character). Shaved her legs a little and carried out final pre-flower sucker removal. Tried to leave as many leaves as possible. Will dose her with Alg-a-Mic which will help her recover from any stress with a view to flipping her next week.

Approaching the end of week 7 (end of week 1 of flowering). Another week of vigorous growth with 7 inches in the last 7 days. This is definitely a strain to grow outdoors if you have the climate. From the outset, I only filled my pots 2/3 full of soil. This allowed me to add a further 8-9 litres of soil with two third strength GHF Bio Grow powder mixed in. I now have full pots and have noticed that the additional soil has added an extra 1 - 1.5 days to my watering cycle as it is retaining moisture much better. Will slightly increase cal/mag as we progress.

End of second week of flower. Another 7 inch stretch over last week. Have carried out final defoliation and will now only have to deal with maintenance defoliation going forward. Plant is needing a lot of water every day now. Bud-set is now getting going and it will be interesting to see how this plant develops during flowering. Stem has a disgusting smell to it, but in my experience this is often a forerunner to finding 'FIRE' in those buds (some of the strongest buds I have smoked have had stems that smelled like vomit!) So far, I have been delighted with the quality of GHS genetics and their feeding products to the extent that I have already ordered more seeds and a Kilo of Bio Enhancer and BioGrow (will make my mind up about BioBloom at the end of flower). It really has been effortless growing so far and the plant has shown no defeciencies at all which is impressive for such a vigorous grower. Plant is doing well in pretty cramped conditions (squashed in a 3 x 3 with three other 40" photos!), would have been nice to give her the whole tent to herself to really stretch her legs.

More like end of week three and a couple of days into week 4. Been in hospital under the knife last 10 days They are all still alive. ..........As am I.

End of week 4 of flower and a couple of days into week 5. Harvest 4/5 weeks. Bud development is steady

End of week 5 of flower. Approx. 3/4 weeks to harvest Good steady bud development with strong main cola. Make sure you have plenty of height as this lady is hitting about 5 ft even with a slightly shortened veg period

About 2 weeks to harvest. Buds developing steadily Solid main cola developing about 24" long and as thick as a coke can for the most part. No issues with mildew or mold and this strain has stood up well to some rather cramped and overly hot conditions.

Steady development. Just water flush from now until the end. Absolutely love the structure and growth characteristics of this cultivar/pheno. Buds have a lovely pale appearance, making them look very ice-cream like. Citrus/ Fuel/ Creamy.

Chop day. Effortless to trim and clean with very low leaf to bud ratio. .Nice smell (not in your face) a sort of creamy citrus/fuel thing going on which is quite enticing Harvest report next week
