Still plugging away like a dream. She's in full flower now and healthy as can be. She's really stretching - nearly touching all four walls of my grow room!

Grow Questions

I'm in 3rd week of flowering and 10th week overall. My humidity had been steady around 50-60% during veg, but noticed the first weeks of flowering humidity has DROPPED, usually about 40% - sometimes as low as 35%. Is this normal? I have read humidity normally RISES during flower.

No, it's not normal, but hardly harmful, if anything it's good to have low humidity in flower, less chance of mildew or budrot. Plant transpires almost 100% the water they drink, that means that as they explode with growth during the pre-flower stretch and they drink more and more water, they will release it into the environment making RH rise. That been said, humidity which is actually relative humidity changes a lot with temperature, 60% humidity at a certain temperature can drop drastically if the temperatures increases just a little. Perhaps your weather has changed and the air is drier than a few days / weeks ago?

I started a flush about 2-3 weeks back, because I thought it was close to harvest. Turns out she's taking longer than I anticipated. Should I restart nutrients, or keep it clean until harvest?

Hi mate, I've done similar thing before, but theres no harm done in using water through to the finish. No point wasting nutrients now as she is very close and not far off. I'd rather a clean product than a nutrient filled one. At least now when she is ready by trichomes or which ever way you prefer to asses her, she will be ready without having to re flush. You're on track and don't worry. A big flush is better than no flush, plus some growers go from start to finish without any nutrients and still get a nice clean product. Hope this helps.

Lovely aroma, I bet she does start to smell really good, Barney’s Farm got almost all the tastiest strains with multiple awards winning in Cannabis cups. You should try the Vanilla Kush if you have the occasion to grow it one day.

@JUNGLE_B4RNS, Thanks - haven't tried vanilla kush but I'll check it out!

Agreed on strain choice, you should be very happy! Looks like you got everything set up! What kind of light, watts from wall etc? Also interested in the nutrients you intend to use. Once it has true leaves instead of just the round pair you can prolly drop the light to the veg height, on the far side of that height range at least. Don't burn it but you're going to want vigor for the next couple weeks to catch up; seedling->early veg is very impactful time on whole grow. She's gonna need to get a few nodes for power AND drop some serious roots. Liked and followed =)

@maryjane80, sorry i missed this but i say check your manufacturers recc on light distance and ride it as close as you can until they start stressing thing is it can be hard to diagnose light stress esp with LED it can look like natural purpling or deficiencies first sign is often that the leaves at the top are pointed vertical instead of just perky
maryjane80
maryjane80commented7 years ago
@Jaindoh, Thanks for the feedback. Am using 300W LED and just started 6 tsp/gal FoxFarm Grow Big and plan to add Big Bloom & Tiger Bloom later. Adjusted lighting distance to 16". Do you recommend adjusting that further?

It will enjoy the transplant immensely and the extra room. would reccomend 30-50% perlite in your final potting mix. Also, aeration pots such as fabric pots or airpots make a big difference. You got this!

@Jaindoh, Thanks again - I will certainly look into starting lst towards the end of the week. I appreciate the tips - I have a lot to learn! Cheers!

@sxial80, excellent work my friend! if i'd be so bold i'd reccomend starting gentle lst to strengthen her circulation as soon as she's come back after transplant. feel free to ask any questions, i may not be an expert but will try and there's plenty of others around =)
maryjane80
maryjane80commented7 years ago
@Jaindoh, Thanks for the tips! Yes, I did transplant into a fabric pot (I need to add more photos) and my soil mix does have perlite in it - though I'm not sure how much. I'll try to find out and add more if needed.

Jaindohcommentedweek 97 years ago
I would continue flushing as they've been flowering a while and aren't showing deficiencies. They look like they're past the main phase of flowering, and well into the finishing stages.
